Installing update.zip file without root

Hello ,
Installing update.zip file without root is possible or not

Maybe only if its signed by Samsung put in sd card and boot to the stock recovery.. Im not sure if samsung has a install from there or not....
So the answer is Root does not let you install a update.zip Its the Recovery that does.. Custom recoveries will flash any complete .zip . Stock recovery only samsung signed files.

i am newbie . would like to ask all you senior. What file should i prepare to flash my p3100.
i already hv odin and clockwork mod-recovery_6.0.1.0.tar.(<<< is this is the latest recovery ??>
any other file i need to complete the flash process?

Öhm... no CWM 6.0.4.7 is latest CWM. You´ll find a link to my recoverys for P31XX inside my signature - all up-to-date

[Completed] [Q] How do i make a .tar File?

Hey guys, i have a few questions as im a newb in Stuff like this. So dont be to Hard with me
1.) (Only neccesary if i need it) I have a galaxy note edge FY international variant and its on Android 5.0.1 official fw and non rooted but i want it roted if its needed for flashing a custom rom, where do I get the CF Auto root for it as i cant seem to find it xD
2.) I want to install the resurrection Custom ROM Made by @mickey137 but i need TWRP or cwm but cwm doesnt support my note edge so i need the TWRP from @mickey137. I know that i need a .tar File to flash it via odin but when i download the zip from Mickeys thread i only get a .zip File with a recovery.img and other Files. So my question is how do I make a odin flashable .tar out of the Files in the .zip? Or does any one has a download link for a .tar for my note edge? (Im Running Windows 8.1 on my laptop)

hello guys i need help with my problem. I update my mate 7 TL10 to lollipop 5.1.1 and then made root but there is some features doesnt work by the way i changed my recovery to twrb . So i read that i must do a recovery to the original and i cant find the original recovery . img . So help me

Download the Lollipop UPDATE.APP and extract the Recovery with Huawei Extractor.
Flash the Recovery via Fastboot
fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.img

Or you can use this tool in order to flash the original recovery then re-install the stock firmware using dload folder and update app

No, you just flash it with the proper tool or through TWRP.
