[Q] adbd Insecure no longer working well

I had adbd Insecure installed on phone, was using it well, I could check the options.
I then tried to install some battery mods for the phone but they weren't working well on my device.
I then used an ICS update to get my phone back to 'normal'. Everything seemed fine but I noticed I had lost root.
I tried to root again, problem was when I open the adbd Insecure app which is vital for my rooting process, I get an error saying
superUser access is needed, but could not be acquired. Are you rooted and did you give permission?
With no other option but to choose OK and the app closes, I have tried reinstalling adbd Insecure but no change. any help?
I have tried both adbd Insecure 1.1 and 1.2
Ideas?

There are two modes called root your phone.
a) Root your adb shell
b) Root your system.
If your system isn't rooted yet, you don't have permissions to enable insecure adbd.
Install su and superuser.apk (or superSU apk ) via CWM recovery (or TWRP) and all your options are back.

Root checker says I have root but apps can't gain root access.

Hello I have an unusual problem. I am modifying the ROM for my Rockchip device (rk3066). I want the firmware image to flash already rooted. I have installed busy box, su binary, and Superuser.apk. When I flash the ROM then use Rootchecker, it says I have root access. However, when I use an app that requires root it cannot gain root access. Can anyone explain to me what is going wrong?
Please be very basic in any explanation as I am a super noob trying to learn.
Thanks in advance for any help given. It will be very appreciated.

There might be something wrong with the superuser app itself. Try using SuperSU.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053
Does it work?
Basically you need to tick "prompt", if you had ticked "deny for all" , superuser will not prompt you for answer when an app needs root, so have it on "prompt" in super user settings, If superuser or SU icon is in apps drawer , open it and check its settings menu.
How to get Root Access?
a) Update SU Binaries, reboot
b) Check Development Option for Root Access settings or Performance settings for Superuser Settings
c) Flash Super Su Zip in Recovery

install supersu
So I tried updating the su binary from the superuser app. It says it installed OK but then says it can't gain root access.
I also tried using Supersu app. It says that there is no su binary installed. But, it definitely is there.
I also tried simple root checker. It verified that busy box is installed.
If you have a recovery installed unroot and reflash the binary n app

I appreciate all the input, but I think this is going off point. I have no trouble routing my tablet with the told that are out there. I can't build it into a complete ROM. I am trying to build a custom ROM
with the root built in.

Root+rw problems+bootloader unlocking

I rooted my m2 by downgrading to 4.3jb from 4.4.2kk then rooted with towelroot apk. I then updated ota to 4.4.2 then 4.4.4 checking root each time. Installed supersu but didn't update binaries til end after final update then I forced root with flashtool. Updated supersu and installed as system app. Checked with root checker pro root confirmed installed xposed busybox ect with no problems installed e.s. file explorer with root access allowed and selected mount rw in es explorer. Also installed phils touch cwm recovery for l/b off here no problems now thought I had full r/w permission not r/o as when I try to install zip files ect from recovery it won't do it says it is r/o also ran the ric killer script said it worked yet still r/o. Also I can unlock my bootloader as it says yes. Is this the easiest way to get full root and what stops working after unlock I.e
camera Walkman x reality ect as I use all these. Any help or advice greatly received I have looked on here googled it but I just seem to be going round in circles I know it's something simple or I wouldn't have exposed and semi root.

[Completed] Cant install v4a, possibly due to partial/incomplete root on vf685 smart kicka

Hi guys. I have a weird problem... I have a vf685 with android 4.4.2
Im trying to install viper audio(v4a) from this site but it fails and says its due to a problem with busy box or my device is not "completely rooted". I am rooted and used several root checker apps to confirm. I have twrp installed as well, xposed modules, root explorers, etc. Everything works fine... Except v4a and also when I open mtk droid tools the square is orange/yellow and it should be green, i have to first click to get root permission. I used king root(not kingo root) to root it, its the only one that seems to work on this phone, I didn't like the superuser app from kingroot so I searched google and found a zip file to replace kinguser with SuperSU and installed with terminal emulator. Is my device only partially rooted (if that's possible) or if not what else could it be?
P.S. its not a problem with busybox, although busybox is installed to /system/bin. Not to /system/xbin
Please help!

It's probably RIC security acting up. Install XZDualRecovery and then Flash RICDefeat.zip
