To all CM Theme Engine Themers and Users!
Yesterday I announced a feature in DarkMaterialApp which allows you to clear Theme Engine cache from the drawer menu. I had a thought about it, and made an app in a few hours which is a standalone, 1mb app which is a two click procedure to clear your Theme Engine cache, called Theme Rebuilder!
WHAT THIS DOES: If you ever tried dirty flashing with a theme applied on your device, and you realize everything is completely messed up (white notification background with white text), QS tiles are all wrong icons, things started force closing, etc.....then this app is for you! This clears the overlay apks from the cache and rebuilds it on the next reboot. Be sure to read the dialog first!
YOU STILL NEED ROOT! If you don't have root, the app will not show a UI and you will get an error notification. If you do, a dialog will be overlaid on top of your desktop and you can click Proceed. A new notification will pop up and when you click it, it will automatically reboot your device.
To install this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chummy.jezebel.theme.rebuilder
This project is open source. If you would like to contribute to the project, the GitHub repository is linked below!

Alright it's been a while since I updated this thread, but I have pushed this to production phase, and v1.0.0 is available for public consumption!
I have gotten a lot of positive reviews of this through the comments and direct messages.
It is now publicly available on your phone, your parent's phone, your dog's tablet and so forth! Enjoy!

No way bro . How can it be ? I literally can access my data partition without any issues . I even tried factory reset . It didn't help me though . Everything is like it used to be when I first flashed cm13 since december 6 . Forgot to mention It started happening when I flashed the 4th august nightly .

Hmm, then I'm not entirely sure. Have you tried changing to stock theme and then a custom bootanimation? Or reinstalling your themes?

I installed biohazard theme today . It's the 1st time I installed it. applied its boot animation . showed apply but after rebooting ; same old cm13 stock boot animation . Forgot to mention I tried your theme cache rebuilder too ( installed it from play store ) . It didn't help either . And also tried factory reset . Didn't work . And yes I tried stock theme and then again reapplied custom bootanimation too . didn't work .

How Does It Work ?
This app is a simple bridge between Device And Server . It uses JSON (JavaScript Object Notation ) Parsing to parse data from server and compare it with data on the device . That is what makes it simple and fast . Then after downloading the recovery image , it gives you 2 choices either to flash image directly or store it so you can flash it later using the app . Some features will be added to the app like managing backups , flashing roms , wiping data ......

Q & A
Q : I opened the app and it gave me a dialog saying That device is not supported
A : For some devices you need to install recovery manually as they might defer in boot loaders ....
Q : I installed recovery but my installed recovery version is still the same !
A : The app parses your last recovery log , so you need to reboot to recovery so the change's can take effect .

Great, simple and useful= perfect
I just finished installing this on my N5 and N7 2013. It worked perfectly. I was running TWRP 2.6.0 on both devices and the app recognized that and told me there was an updated version available. I ticked install, it downloaded the new version, I ticked install now, it then gave me the option to reboot to recovery so I ticked yes and it rebooted to TWRP now showing 2.6.3. This worked perfectly on both devices. Thanks for the great work it is truly appreciated.

I think that if it's already on 5.0 there's no need to wipe..
Try flashing it over and tell the results..
First reaction is that rom boots rather quick but as on every LP rom is that TB only works after reboot on first setup.

Just a note, I'm not sure if you're allowed to include Gapps, since it's not open source - they are proprietary apps.
Not sure if this is enforced but wouldn't hurt to check.

Welcome to my new thread!
I have just created a new custom rom which is based of stock android. The rom is Debloated, Odexed and has Layers support! I use this rom as my daily driver. The battery life and the performance is brilliant!
For customization I´ve added Aroma Installer. Now you can choose if you want for example Viper4Android installed I´ve also added Layers support. Because of some problems with SuperSU you have to flash it manually.
Features
> Debloated
> Odex
> Busybox
> Layers support
> Aroma Installer: AdAway, File Explorer, Music Player, Viper4Android and Xposed optional!
> Permissive stock kernel
> Multiwindow activated
> Force encryption disabled

Is this ROM compatible with android pay?
I don´t know the rom is very stock just with some apps that were added/deleted.
I was wondering what you meant when you said you will have to add it manually when refering to the layers? Do you mean Su has to installed manually or the layers app? Also is the file uploading did see the link to download the Rom? I was also curious about Android Pay.
Thanks
It is meant to SuperSU and yeah the file is uploading Please test Android Pay when the file is uploaded I am not able to do so

Rom installed fine, android pay did not work. There is only a couple of Roms that is works with anyways. The ones that work have root built into system then you have to unsu them and reflash the systemless root. I know you are having a problem with root being in the rom, you might have to use the old system root with your rom built in to get it to work. Anyways Rom seems to be running great, Thanks
I will try to fix it tonight.

How would you like to be first to try out this new theming app? How would you like to see a little color instead of stock white notifications?
I am looking for Nexus device owners to test Material Notifications. I have a Nexus 7 (2013) and I find that it runs perfectly on it, but before sharing it with the wider community, I would like to make sure it runs well on other Nexuses.
If your device is not a Nexus, or if you are using a custom rom, this probably won't work. If it does work, I would be glad to know.
Edit: Tested, works on official CM.
Whatever device you own, make sure you have a nandroid backup before using this app. If you get stuck in a bootloop or if your systemUI force closes, you can easily sort the problem by going into TWRP, mounting your system, opening the file explorer and deleting color.apk from system/vendor/overlay. Or you can use your nandroid.
Please note that I am not responsible if you brick your phone. Only test this app if you know what you are doing.
Thank you in advance for testing. I hope you will think it was worth your while! I'm looking forward to your feedback. Cheers!

You already know about me it doesn't work, but here it is again:
Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE (GT-i9305) running CM13 unofficial.
Works fine on a htc 10 running a htc sense rom. Thank you!

Would app like this be legal on PlayStore? Google wants everybody to stick with white flat notifications
@StrangerWeather
A thought just came across my mind. Do you think it would be somehow possible to have different colours for each app? Maybe based on the action bar of these apps or maybe completely choosable for the user?

Hi! Do you mean you need the mod that @Freak07 suggested, or the app as it is?
