Note5 on att - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note5

I have a t-mobile note 5 on t-mobile right now. Well my problem is the area I'm moving to t-mobile sucks. So I can pay off my note 5 and see if it will work on att network or get sprint.
So my question is does it work on att network?

Yes, but you'll need to unlock it first

I'm doing just that. Popped sim in and it worked fine. Didn't even need to add data settings

I just switched to AT&T from T-Moblie due to bad data coverage and poor signal quality.
I paid off the device and unlocked with the T-Mobile unlock app. Got my AT&T sim and pit it in and profit.
One thing you need to do is make sure you call tech support and have them provision the imei to make sure you get max data speeds. Below are my data speeds with AT&T. Blazing fast compared to T-Mobile.

Eh... its all white back. What's the point? The whole idea was all black. Is this a dumb way to try to imitate that other company phone?

Welcome and enjoy!!
Man, that white battery cover is sexy as hell. I so want it and can't seem to find it anywhere online.
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
I also got the white one for AT&T.
One thing you'll learn quickly is that with the official radio on the i9020a, the data speeds are capped in the ROM. You should probably read this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1116884
You will need to unlock the bootloader and root the device in order to apply the fix but after that you will love the speeds you can get on your NS.
What radios are working well for you all? I haven't had a chance to read up on them yet.

I've got the white one on ATT as well...
i have it and love it! Although, I am considering getting the Galaxy S2 unlocked

From what i've read so far, the KB3 radio is the best for the AT&T version (i9020a)
One month later.
Do you guys regret paying full price now that the nexus s is officially on at&t. I did for a minute but then I was reminded that it have the white one so I don't regret.

4G or regular

I feel so stupid because some roms tell me I'm on a nexus s 4G and I know koodo doesn't have a 4G network but is there any way to tell ?
Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk
I don't quite understand what your question is?
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA
The roms for nexus s 4g are only for the cdma sprint version of the phone. May work on other cdma carriers, i just don't know.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using xda premium
nexus s 4g gets no signal in germany, so that already answers your question. also check the label under the battery, would say D720 if it were a 4G. (guessing yours reads gt-9023 -> SLCD-screen)
if your roms show 4g-things, you're flashing the wrong stuff. ^^

Power off your phone. Hold volume + and press power, until you're at the fastboot screen.
You should see a screen like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
If next to bootloader and baseband version the number starts with D720, you got a Nexus S 4G.

It's enabled by default, as long as you have it in your plan

I have have it in my plan but I can't connect to AT&T only tmobile network because the phone roaming is not enable. That's what it says in network signal info app

If you have tmobile signal, your phone will not connect to att. I was in Vermont where there was no tmobile signal and phone stayed connected to att for 4 days
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda app-developers app
Tmobile told me that too but when I go snow boarding there is only att and it wont let me. Connect to it. Tmobile only have 1 bar 10% of the time and 90% no signal. Att get full bar on my friend iphone

That's also based on roaming agreements, T-Mobile probably don't have any within that area which is why you can't connect to AT&T's network.
When I had sprint I can roam anytime I want by just zelecting the network that pops up

,,,,,They can't even get 1X and 3G right here on Staten Island............
That being said, I've felt some improvement in some area's throughout this whole AWS buildout
But it's not NEARLY enough.....
God help them if this is how VoLTE is gonna go

I am sure that is the new XLTE. It's been in parts of Chicago, New York and LA on the Droids since the November OTA update, when the AWS bands were activated with a radio firmware update. 50/25 is much better than most people see on the old 700 Mhz LTE.
anyone know when upstate SC is gonna get xLTE? as a side-note when Seneca/Clemson got 4G LTE, (literally the day of) I was getting 24-28 mps down according to speed test. Now It is half of that (traffic). It was literally ridiculous how blazing fast it was.

HTC One M8 for Windows compatible with AT&T+T-Mobile LTE

First, keep in mind that nowadays Verizon devices are sold Unlocked
So according to the specs on Verizon's website, the Verizon One M8 for Windows is/should be compatible with T-Mobile and AT&T LTE frequencies (bands 13+4; 700c+1700MHz).
T-Mobile uses almost exclusively band 4, while it's AT&T's second largest.
Also, band 13 has a tiny bit of overlap with band 17 for downlink (AT&T's main frequency), so it /may/ pick up on that a bit.
Here's the frequency list on their site:
{

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",

}
Knowing this, is anyone more likely to pick one of these up? I know I'm quite tempted.

At least carrier bloat is kept to a minimum on Windows Phone and can actually be uninstalled without hackery, not just disabled.

Exactly. One thing I really like about my G3 Cat.6 is that 99% of the carrier bloat was uninstallable without modification.
Closer to iPhone where carriers can't add any junk whatsoever.
