Android HTC - Hacking explained

Hey all!
I've spent some time on creating an infographic about hacking Android HTC's, which I made partly through the help of xda-developers, and I figured that I would try to return the favor to others xda-developers by posting it here.
Background:
I tried to root and "S-OFF" my HTC Desire and it resulted in the phone not booting anymore Having no experience in the Android hacking field at all, I was pretty much stuck, and then there's only one thing to do: Google up.
As I spent the next 4 hours getting a basic understanding of how Android phones work and what the different hacks and tools are, I needed a way to keep notes. Notepad wasn't going to cut it and I figured that a more 'attractive' method may serve as a good reference for other people who are interested in Android hacking. Adobe Illustrator it was.
I managed to get my phone working again but continued googling and asking smart people stupid questions to keep getting a better understanding of the subject. At this point I've learned everything that I wanted to learn. Not that I'm an expert but I know just enough about everything to fool others into thinking I am one I'm making the information public, if there are errors or omissions please inform me and I'll fix it.
Android HTC - Hacking Explained
In order of best to worst quality:
*I can't add outside links sadly *
Unless a friendly admin wants to add direct file links I'll describe how to find the 'infographic': Google for 'android hacking explained' and it should be among the first results. If not, add 'cruz'

[Completed] Bluetooth not switching on on new Android boxes....

Hello there,
My brother bought a few Android boxes similar in spec to these models.......here
He bought quite a few of them rooted with his own branding on them and had his own firmware sent to him.
I was wanting to use one for XBMC which works great and for a retro games machine and this is where i am having a problem, i bought a g910 gamepad to use on this android box and switched on blue tooth but the switch immediately switches back to off.
I remember having this problem a couple of times with custom roms on the phones i had and it was usually sorted out with a fix from a developer.
I am hoping the Chinese suppliers that made these machine will send him my brother a fix or an updated firmware but there has been no reply back yet.
I would like to ask you gurus here if it is possible to fix this problem myself?
Could i use root explorer or something to repair the blue tooth problem?.......the firmware is currently on 4.4.2
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks:good:
Hi!
This is a tricky thread. Its kinda vague to be honest. You've said devices "similar" to....custom firmware someone created...etc.
You may need to be far more specific for decent advice, and obviously using the factory firmware may be your only solution. The custom firmware obviously has bugs.
All that said, here is where you should ask about devices that don't have their own section....

Good luck! ?

[Completed] Android Demo

Hi guys,
i'm looking for a showcase demo to use on android tablets (lenovo, HP, Samsung,...)
just as a showcase so they don't just sit there doing nothing
It is for use in a small IT shop.
kind regards Karel
Hi,
ROMS on XDA are generally made to function fully. You would need to set it up and disable what you think you should yourself.
Since its for multiple devices, I suggest you ask further questions here...

[Completed] installing another OS on Blackberry Q5, want to take risk

Let's be short; I've got a BlackBerry Q5 and a Nokia Lumia 630. I love the hardware of the BlackBerry(QWERTY keyboard, 2GB RAM etc..)
but I simply don't like the OS. The other way around on my Lumia 630. I love the OS but the hardware isn't great.
Is there any way to put WP8(or Android if WP8 is not possible) on the BlackBerry? I've looked around a bit and with interloping or something it should be possible.
So what I actually want to know is: how can I 'crack' crackberry(pun intended).
I don't mind it being bricked(got it a an outlet sale) but ofcourse it would be fun if it just worked.
Anyway, thanks in advance.
Regards,
Me
