How i uninstall fallout shelter from rooted 6.0?? - Shield Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Simple question...i hope for a simple answer

Use something like Solid Explorer or <insert file explorer here with root permissions> and remove the folder "com.bethsoft.falloutshelter-1" (or without the -1, shouldn't be that hard to find...) from system/app or system/priv-app and reboot.

using titanium backup with root permission to remove this/any apps.
also can try ES explorer with root permission to remove system app too.
always restart after remove system app(s).

Is the Fallout shelter game (pre-installed) any different from the free version on Play?

You can disable it from Apps in the Settings section. If you must get rid of it entirely, PixelVixen got it

Protect app from וUninstall?

Hi, I'm using Cyanogen 5.0.8 on a N1 phone.
Is there any way to protect app (not a pre-install app like Gmail!) from being Uninstall/delete?
I mean the app won't uninstall the "simple way", like from Settings - Applications, and only through terminal/ADB command/root explorer.
Thank you very much!
Yoav
Anybody? It's a pretty usefull question.
I think you can just push the APK to /system/app
You can't uninstall because it is read only by deafult.
I've never done it so I'm not sure, try it.

or use root explorer from the market and move file to /system

[Q] Root Question.....

I just rooted my Asus TF101 tablet with Brk's Root Toolkit v8.
It says I am now rooted, but is there any way to know for sure?
I have rooted my phone before & when I did that I was able to remove all the useless apps that came preinstalled, but on my Tablet it will not let me. I was thinking with root access I would be able to do this.
I am thinking of flashing to another ROM, but want to be sure this thing is rooted first.
Any insight is appreciated!!
Thx!!!
Do you have a SuperUser or SuperSU app installed?
I would open it and see what happens.
Also, I do not believe you can uninstall system apps JUST being rooted, you need an app like Titanium Backup to do the uninstalling. They still are not uninstallable in the Settings - Apps section just by rooting.
Alternatively, install a root explorer (or enable Root Explorer permissions in ES File Explorer) and see if you get prompted for root access without errors.

download Titanium Backup from playstore:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup
alows you to backup applications, remove applications, freeze applications (donation version is required to freeze i think)
you can do this with
Link2SD app. It's free & also you can freeze apps
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.buak.Link2SD
Use any ROOT File explorer
If you want to just uninstall apps, and not care to backup/freeze them, then you can also use any file explorer with Root Capabilities, like Root Explorer, Root Browser , ES File Explorer (my favorite, lovely GUI ) , since you also get the added bonus of any other file explorer (browsing files, copying, pasting etc. )
After you install, Grant superuser permissions and then go to /system/app.
Then you'll have to mount the directory as R/W. [For ES File Explorer, bring up the side menu (swipe left-to-right, click Root Explorer, click Mount R/W, and select /system from the list.
Now, locate the apk of the corresponding app you want to uninstall, and just delete it!
[Yeah, I know this method is a bit complex than others, but an effective alternative]:good:
Download SystemCleanup from the play store. It tells you what system apps are safe to remove so you don't delete something you shouldn't.

You can delete SUPER SU if you have an alternative super user app. These apps hold a list of permissions for your other apps that need special permission. I prefer SUPER SU over others, so in my opinion I would just keep it installed.

But,If I remove SUPER SU will it effect my rooted phone.
Don't remove it (uninstall)
Because it manages root permissions....
If you don't like that icon just hide it from drawer......
you will not lose root after uninstalling this app.... But for good management of root permissions.. Your should keep this.

Just go to root folder and find oem folder/app and delete those apps simple
Just install Link2SD or SystemUninstall App from playstore.
Those App only work for rooted device.
Uninstall the useless Apps. But be careful with it, don't delete system functioning App.
After uninstall completed, reboot the device.
