Time for a new battery? - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

nexus 5 running cata with franco kernel, however when ever I charge it up, it quickly looses 20%. I literally just let the phone sit there. Time for a new battery?
I tried the wifi leaking bug, by turning off scanning already.

Same problem with stock rom and ElementalX kernel. It loses battery at a shocking pace, even when idling and screen off. With screen on and on 4G I roughly lose 1% per minute. Phone is basically unusable. Always carrying a 10k mAh power bank at all times.
Might be unrelated but I had my screen replaced (in China). Since then I feel the battery life has deteriorated substantially.

Cell Standby

I know there have been plenty of battery threads but I wanted to so what you guys thought about this?
Android Central did a review on the Nexus S 4G and under the battery test they showed the battery stats. Their battery lasted over 1 day, 9 hours with moderate use. When I look at the usage stats, It shows display at 54% and and cell standby at 11%. I understand if they were using the phone non stop that most of the juice was being used by the display, but are SAMOLED displays that great on battery that you could use it that much and get this much out of a stock battery?? Or is this more proof that our battery drivers simply need a recoding? They did have their 4G activated so you would think like in our case, the 4G chip would cause higher cell standby use.......

Battery reading issue on Skyrocket

Very weird, and this happens all the time, everyday. About once to three times per full charge since i have the phone. I restart the phone for some reason and when i get back, i instantly lose about 5 to 25% of battery.
I'm rooted on stock rom...also i'm guessing this is a calibration issue so i am fully uncharging / fully charging battery tonight to recalibrate it but in the mean time i wanted you guys to confirm if i'm right
Also if this is in fact a calibration issue, does this mean that my phone is discharging faster than it's actually telling me?
Here is a screenie
one big peak loss a few hours ago and a smaller one just now

it was a battery calibration issue

Weird battery issue

I'm having some weird battery behavior. I plug it in to charge every night. Many times, when I unplug it in the morning, the battery will almost immediately drop from 100% to somewhere around 25%. After that initial drop, the remaining depletion rate seems about normal. It doesn't happen every time, but it is happening with more frequency. This was happening before I rooted it and put Hyperdrive on it.
Is my battery dying, or could something else be going on?

We have the same problem but mine is before I rooted my phone, the situation already encounter. I would suggest you buy an extended battery or the original battery again.

Google services battery drain?

9 hours of keeping my nexus 5 awake... I was wondering why my nexus 5 was only at 30% at the end of my classes at 6pm! Barely any use besides some texts, some calls, ~60 min of web browsing/reddit
Normally after a full day of the standard light usage I've been getting around 60-70% battery life at the end of my day.
I don't use anything else besides what I mentioned. I'm not sure if its significant or not, but I do use a Nokia wireless charger and didn't reboot my phone this morning. I heard wireless charging causes a wakelock?

High overnight battery drain

Losing more than 15% overnight despite having WiFI, BT, AOD turned off. It's been happening since first week of December. I ignored it at first as it wasn't that frequent and most of the time I didn't lose more than 5% overnight but these days it's just frequent although I tried factory reset, restricting apps and more but still half of the time I do lose lot of juice overnight.
I've attached screenshots of Better Battery Stats, help me figure out what's wrong ?

The "android" waking up your phone all the time seems like an obvious culprit, but that's probably just "anything that's part of the system"... Can you get more detail on that?
