is there a possibility that i can install ram without porting it?
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you wanting to flash a rom? Also, what device do you have?

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
We cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist but there are quite a few threads dealing with your Lenovo A7000 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/t/lenovo-a7000. You may also find it useful (and possibly educational) to browse our "XDA University" entries at http://xda-university.com which cover a variety of topics for both users and developers alike. Not all data there is always up-to-date but it covers a wealth of information in one convenient place.
Good luck!
Well thanks for reading my thread well I kind a new to this so I didn't know where I posted
So after searching for a while I could not find a custom rom for ls751, the boost mobile vr.
I just got the phone today and I wanted to root it and add cyanogenmod. Since I can't find any custom roms, i havent even rooted my phone yet.
So does anyone know of any roms that are better than the stock that I could use?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
This forum is for newbies finding their way around XDA Developers. It isnt a development section.
Since your device doesnt have a device specific forum, you may keep an eye on Miscellaneous Android Development forum for development related to your device.

Please correct me, if i have understood wrong.
Cant I use my Samsung Galaxy s Duos 2 nouget version?
As far as i know, only kernel is the issue. Means, only kernel needs to be get from the current device base rom and put into new rom.
IF I am wrong, then how do people use nouget rom to Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2, which was officially supported by Jellybean and stopped. How do they brought it upto nouget? how did they get or made that custom rom.
Please clarify me.

Hello,
We don't recommend flashing another devices ROM into another one.
Secondly, yes thanks to the custom ROM community, S duos 2 still has nougat. Not official though.

Hello,
It is like installing another ROM/firmware/OS into your device.
The kernel differs depending upon developer.

Hello,
You have to wait and check if your OEM plans to update your device to official Nougat.
Regarding custom ROM, you need to get vendor, make device tree.
Well to be honest, it isn't completely explainable.
