(REVIEW) Tronsmart Single port Quick Charge 3.0 Wall Charger - LG V10 Accessories

(REVIEW) Tronsmart Single port Quick Charge 3.0 Wall Charger
After liking the 2 port quick charge 2 model, I have picked up the single port quick charge 3.0 version to use at work.
Look/Feel
First impressions were very good. The charger was packed well and came with one great quality micro usb cable with what seems like gold plated connections. The actual charger has a good sturdy feel and seems to be made well and out of quality materials. The black and blue colors look very sleek.
Performance
The two phones I own that accept quick charging immediately recognized the charger and indicated the phones were “Fast Charging” just like with the OEM units. I tried three different phones and using the Tronsmart voltage tester, I recorded the following MAX volts/amps with the screen off.
Quick Charge 3.0
- LG v10 : 9.19V/1.69A
- Samsung Note 4: 9.15V/1.28A
- Moto Droid Mini: 5.32V/1.16A
Again, these are max that I saw, they do settle at various levels.
NONE of these phones I tested support QC 3.0 so I did not expect any higher/faster results than the QC 2.0 model, but It is is supposed to be more efficient and charge even quick charge 2.0 devices slightly faster which I believe it does.
You can see the charger did a good job of recognizing the phone and applying an appropriate amount of power. I found that it charged my LG v10 faster than the OEM charger based on a percentage increased/15 mins. I have not charged it from dead with this device.
Overall impressions are excellent. It is well made, does not get hot, performs great and looks nice.

Nice review

Yes, Nice review. Keep them coming.

Now THAT'S how to do a user based review.
Thanks!

Thanks guys. This is now my primary charger and it's definitely faster than oem. Too bad we're stuck with the 808 processer and quick charge 2. ? I bet QC 3.0 is screaming fast.

I purchased this product mainly because I was sick and tired of running down one battery and then having to switch without a way to charge the first one. So at the end of the day I would have two dead batteries. This can charge the battery in your phone as well as a spare. You can charge any size battery in the spare battery tray, which is really cool.
You can see from the image how it works. Because of the stupid design of the Epic4g charging port, it requires a cable to be plugged into the top of the phone. There are two led's, one red for the spare battery in the back and one blue for the phone. There are two ways to charge the phone, USB and a wall plug. The spare battery requires that the wall plug be used to charge. The phone will charge with either the wall plug or the USB cable.
The dock does not fit any extended case. The Epic naturally leans back in the slot, but it can be wiggled forward a good inch.
From the 10 minutes I have had and used this thing, I would absolutely recommend it. Please ask any questions you have.
does it come with the spare battery??
No. It comes with the dock and a wall charger.
I think you may have sold me on one. I have seen these before with an OEM battery but since I have Yoobao and my OEM battery already I don't need another. The price is right. thats for sure,
Yea, I figured it would be great for my needs. I dont need audio out or anything like that. Just needed something to charge the batteries while im not using them. Works flawlessly for that.
The blue charging LED on this thing is seriously the strongest LED I have seen. Huge blue circle on my ceiling.

Umm...ok. Not sure why you posted this since it seems like a pretty standard battery pack. It doesn't have a Type C port.

So do I need a special forked cable to combine the ampherage from both usb ports to get the 4.5A in the title? :silly:
This headline is totally misleading.
If you want an actual battery power bank that works a treat with the 6P check out the RAVPower 20100mAh that has a 3A USB-C port that does in fact fast charge the 6P.

Choetech quick charger 3.0

I've got my hands on a choetech quick charge 3.0 wall charger. I've been using it on my HTC A9 for a bit now and it works great. I don't pay much attention to q.c 2.0 and 3.0 but it does make a difference when you look for it

The unit itself is very slim and easy on the pocket by having a straight design. The one thing I hate on wall units is when the power pins are facing to the side of the wall charger as it makes it hard to carry in the pocket.
Here are some pictures of it:

The info of this charger are the following:
CHOE Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 Wall Charger Designed with Lasted Technology
Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0: The latest, fastest and most efficient USB charging technology in the world. Up to 4X faster than standard chargers, able to charge compatible devices to 80% in just 35 minutes.
I'm very happy with this charger and so far I enjoy it. The products by choetech are my recent favorite. I've found their products to be at anker or even better than. The USB cables in their products last me while ankers tend to stop working a lot. Here is a picture of the included USB cable.
I did find an issue that causes an annoying humming when the unit is plugged into a power source.
I also might add that I'll be getting the updated version soon so I'll update this post if I notice any difference.
If you've got any questions regarding the product please do ask below!
What's different in the updated version of this charger?

A9 not yet support QC 3.0
Here are some images of my UK version of the plug. Brilliant device and use it with my A9. As always choetech turn out some of the nicest 3rd part accessories out there.
I have same charger. 5-100% in 90 minutes :|
What's your charging time ?
100% in around 85 minutes and the backup is awesome....in love with this sexy phone

[review] RAVPower 36W Dual Ports USB Wall Charger

Full disclosure, I was provided this unit by RavPower in exchange for an honest review. The first thing I noticed about this charger was the weight; it a heavier than my other chargers but in a good, sturdy way. The folding plug feels very solid as it snaps into place, and overall the construction seems very good. The size is nice and small, perfect for throwing in your laptop or travel bag. As far as charging goes, it offers USB C charging at a max of 29w for devices like a MacBook. With my Nexus 6p it was able to deliver nearly the full charging speeds, registering at over 2900mAh using Ampere. One thing I noticed is that this charger seems to have less lag than other aftermarket chargers I own. It quickly ramped up to full speed and stayed there.
The Type C port offers max charging speeds of 20V 1.5A, 15V 2A, 9V 2A , 5V 3A max, while the iSmart port will deliver 5V 2.4A max to legacy devices like your tablet or iPhone. Overall I am really impressed with this charger. It's nice and small, offers solid build quality and most importantly has great charging speeds.

Is it compliant? Many cheap type c chargers completely violate the USB Type-C Spec now.
I don't have the setup to test, but their other type c devices are so I would imagine this one is
thank you for the info
That's weird.
I got my charger two days ago and when I'm charging my N5X via USB C jack the current is just around 1400 mA no matter which cable I use (Apple, cable matters).
Does anyone have the same issue?
/edit
After updating to Stock N it's all fine. Came from DU 10.5.

USB-PD 25W PPS Charger ?

With my S10+ and S9 before it, I had several multi-port USB chargers where one support QC 2.0 or better for fast charging. Other than the OEM charger, I haven't seen any other chargers explicitly support the 9V/2.77A USB-PD 3.0 PPS standard the Note 20 Ultra uses. I have seen some USB-PD 45W chargers that say in the footnites that they do not support the 25W standard so this makes me wary of others. Grateful for any experiences others have had.
Even I am looking for an answer to this. Anybody found anything?
There's a few on Amazon I've ordered, I will update when I try them out
I got a car charger that actually does pps. And also a battery tank as well. Both charge the phone at 25watts (super fast charging).
You guys only looking for wall chargers?
I'm interested more in a power bank if possible

Just looked up. Omni goes for 200 bucks. Thats a lot of money for a portable battery bank. But amazing features. ?
