Hello all !
I try for about a hour now to change my boot animation on my rooted Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. I got a bootanimation.zip from a website that I want to install on my phone. I sa that for Samsung devices, the bootanimaion is the bootsamsung.qmg file.
I converted my bootanimation.zip in a .qmg with the Samsung Theme Designer soft and replaced it in /system/media but now when I try to reboot, there is no bootsamsung.qmg or bootsamsungloop.qmg animation displaying.
I think it could be related to the crypt_bootsamsung.qmg file...
Do you know where I failed or what to do ?

I try to set a custom boot logo but i9003 is using .qmg files.
i only found ONE .qmg download , didnt like that one....
if you want it : multiupload.com/CCPCDXZIKE (astronauta animation)
now i removed the bootanimation and its better then the samsung bootlogo ;D
just go to system/media and rename or delete bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg

We dont use that here we have much better ways of changing bootanimation look here:THIS HOW WE DO IT... say thanks to VIvEK if its usefull

For XXKPH and XXKPM, you can also flash CF-ROOT and just apply the boot animation of your choice by renaming it to "sanim.zip" and putting it into the "/system/media" folder, replacing the one already there.

i try it but it only works with the .qmg files...
Problem with deleting
Why when i try to delete bootsamsung.qmg bootsamsungloop.qmg and shutdown.qmg it says deleted but it is still there?

I was following a tutorial and it said to put a file named "samsungani" and the "bootanimation" zip file into system/bin and the bootanimation zip into system/media. It worked great. Then I downloaded a more exciting one (made for galaxy y) and replaced the bootanimations in the bin and media folders. Now it just stays on the hardwares loading screen without loading a bootanimation?
I hope i'm making a simple nooby mistake.

I made the same mistake too, on 2 devices.
If you have CWM installed, reflash the rom withot a data wipe only a cache wipe. You will keep all your data and your normal bootlogo will come back. Try a different one next time.

I dont have a backup to flash the system with. I am using the s5363 galaxy y so CWM dosent work.
Where can I get the original Samsung boot animation?
Inside any stock rom and probably inside any custom rom as devs dont usually remove the files .
Location System / Media
Bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg
Note they are Boot Animation Samsung QMG format . A QMG editor is required to open .

I Have Made a custom SAMSUNG Boot Animation For Any ROM having .zip format bootanimation support like Cyanogen.. not for stock samsung rom as it have .qmg format

Can ya tell me how to enable .zip bootanims on my grand 2 (tw 5.1.1)
Here I have included a zip file containing all of the stock boot animation files for the Sprint Galaxy S6. I needed these files at one point, but could not find them online and had to reset my device to get them. So, I guess I am taking the time to post them now. Note that these files can be used on any Samsung phone that uses qmg format, but they are the stock ones for the Galaxy S6 for Sprint (SM-G920P). Also note that THESE ARE NOT FLASHABLE.
