Huawei honor 3c IMEI fix - Miscellaneous Android Development

This is a tried and tested method and it does work. This worked for me when EVERYTHING else failed and that includes MTK tools, mobile uncle tools, reflashing signed stock rom innumerable times. Thankyou @Chrizzly92 for this!!!
Follow this method this will surely work! Kudos to the developers!!:good:
IMPT YOU NEED TO HAVE A ROOTED PHONE SINCE YOU NEED TO PASTE A FILE IN THE /data/nvram FOLDER.
So first follow this section [Format EMMC with SP Flash Tool (Full Format)] with the help of the guide made by @codelover for honor 3c and then reflash your phone with the signed B108 international ROM. Then root your phone by the following method
Unlock your bootloader using the method given in the guide, then flash a custom recovery through spft and flash UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.40.zip attached with this post with the help of the custom recovery.
After following the above method, download ES File Explorer from play store and grant it superuser privileges.
NOW THE METHOD TO RESTORE YOUR IMEI
1. Download the attached imei.zip and extract it.
2. Run imei generator.bat

}
3. Find your IMEI numbers on your phone product box or remove the battery of your phone and you'll find the IMEI numbers written there.
Then input your IMEI numbers in the command prompt window which is opened by imei generator.bat
4. A file will get generated in the folder where the bat file is located.
5. Now transfer the generated file onto your sd card or your internal sd card. Copy the file and navigate to /data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI/ and replace the MP0B_001 file with your generated MP0B_001 file.
6. Restart your phone and wait for a few seconds and VOILA!! Networks have been restored!!:victory:
7. Now to make this fix permanent (yeah, up till now this was a temporary fix i.e. IMEI will again be lost after a factory reset), flash the UPDATE-ModemFix-MY.zip attached with this post through the custom recovery and reboot.
DONE!! :victory: Now your IMEI has been fully restored and will remain intact even if you factory reset your phone or flash a new ROM. And by chance if u break the IMEI again, follow the above steps again!
Feel free to ask any questions regarding this issue . This saved my ass BIG TIME!! THANKYOU TO THE BLESSED SOULS WHO DEVELOPED THIS GENERATOR and the guide by @codelover!! And hit thanks if this post helped you

Just crossing out all the possible problems... you formated your emmc right?If not, it can create problems. Before applying the UPDATE Modem fix, did it temporarily fix your imei problem?

Thanks for reply,
I have formatted emmc (full format), flashed the b108 signed rom, unlocked the bootloader, installed twrp and rooted the phone, boot and the phone with no signals and imei null, created the MP0b file and put it in the sd , replaced it with the one in system files set permissions and reboot and the signals showed, then I flashed the my-modem and everything was good and signals were there, then I factory reset the phone and again back to imei null
I want to relock the bootloader again and leave this rom_messy thing :/

Backup your IMEI using MTK tools when you get the signals. Then instead of using UPDATE modem fix to make the changes permanent, use MTK tools to restore your IMEI.

What?! You sure that you aren't looking at the serial number? There must be 2 IMEI numbers at the back of the phone which you'll be able to see after removing the battery. If for some reason there is only 1 IMEI number present, then enter the same IMEI number twice when the tool asks for the IMEI numbers.

[2 in 1 TUT] [GB] [ICS] 1. Unbrick your Galaxy R. 2. Downgrade bootloader to v2.0

Hi guys and girls!!!
peoples are always worried about getting their device bricked so that i m making this tut to recover ur phone in only 3 steps, u dont need any special hardware or dont need to dissemble ur phone u will just need a usb cable and windows pc

READ THIS FIRST
this method is dangerous as it will format the whole system and all the partitions on your phone. this will also format ur EFS partition so if ur using this tut for downgrading bootloader than its strongly warned that u backup ur EFS folder otherwise u will loose ur IMEI number.
this whole process will wipe ur internal sd card, there is no way to recover/backup it as in bricked phone u cant mount ur storage.
if u have 2.1 bootloader and want to downgrade it to v2.0 so that u can use usb jig to reset binary counter u can use this method but this method is risky so its recommended to backup all ur data and specially EFS folder to save ur IMEI number.
if u r on bootloader 2.0 and dont have usb jig and u want to reset ur download counter than u can use this method but as this method is risky so better buy usb jig and use it. use this as a last option. and dont forget to backup EFS and SD card otherwise u will loose ur IMEI and data stored on SD card.

BACKING UP EFS
there are many ways to backup/restore EFS partitions is out there but using efs backup pro is recommend, this tool works like charm. u will need to root ur phone first to backup ur EFS partition. (those who have bricked their phone, there is no way to backup ur efs in bricked phone so u will have to give ur phone in ssc to reprogram ur imei)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1068193
some peoples says that after restoring backup made by efs backup pro their imei gets messed, they r unable to revert their original imei. if u have lil bit knowledge of ADB u can use this method its best method to backup imei.

NOTE FOR ICS USERS.
This unbricking tool is working on ICS also. but after this tool completes flashing u wont be able to flash stock ROM via odin directly to solve this u have to do a lil change in process.
after unbricking tool completes flashing, remove usb cable and reboot ur phone. phone will automatically boot in download mod as its not having OS.
now open odin, plug in ur device and flash ur desired stock ROM.
(thanks to UnknownzD for finding this solution.)HOW TO DO THIS???
STEP 1: DOWNLOADING REPAIR PACKAGE AND SETTING UP DRIVERS
Download the attached zip file and extract it to any directory like "C:\\SGR" or whatever u want. now remove battery of ur phone and insert it. now press VOLUME UP, HOME, POWER KEY together and insert usb cable to pc. ur pc will detect hardware named APX.
now open device manager. (right click on my computer>properties>device manager). u will see APX named hardware with yellow triangle on it. double click it and select update driver. now select "BROWSE MY COMPUTER......." option and it will ask for directory chose the directory in which u have extracted repair package. windows will show u warning ignore it and select install driver anyway.now see device manager in serial bus tree it should display hardware named NVIDIA RECOVERY........
STEP 2: FLASHING THE WHOLE FILE SYSTEM/BOOTLOADER
now everything is set for flashing the bootloader to ur bricked phone. open extracted folder in that u will find a file named GTI9103.bat open it, u will see command prompt window. now connect ur phone in APX mode as described in step 1. (to confirm that ur device is connected in apx mode u can look in device manager for hardware named nvidia recovery..... under serial bus tree). now after connecting device type 1 in opened command prompt and hit enter. now this tool will start flashing on ur sgr. after flash ur phone will reboot and download mode will appear as device starts.
STEP 3: FLASHING STOCK ROM AND FORMATTING DATA PARTITION
now open odin flashing tool (i faced problem while falshing with odin 1.86 so i recommend to use attached odin 1.80). remove usb cable from phone and connect it again, odin will detect phone and yellow mark with com port should appear. now this is important. here u have to check "RE PARTITION" in odin and click "PIT" buttom in odind and choose "p5.pit" file from extracted folder. in pda select the stock fw u want to flash. now check odin for this things "re partision, auto reboot, reset time is checked. in pit selection pit file is selected and in pda ur desired fw is selected." after checking this hit start and wait till flash finish. After flash ur phone will boot and will show error that /data is not found and ur phone will stuck at bootloop. Don't worry its normal as the flashing process have wiped data partition and its not ready to be used by os so phone won't boot. To solve this just boot in recovery mode by holding VOL UP + HOME key at boot. (U can use both stock and cwm recovery) and format the data partition and reboot. Ur phone will boot now and will work perfectly.
If u have backup of EFS than root ur phone and restore ur efs folder so that u can recover ur IMEI number.
If u dont have efs backup dont worry. Simply give ur phone in ssc and claim that phone is not receiving network. They will fix it for free
(If ur warranty is over, they will charge u for this)CREDITSXiaoyuz for making this flashing tool.
F3nix for sending me this flashing package.
UnknownzD for testing this tool on ICS roms and finding a workaround for odin flashing problem on ICS.

Copying via root explorer only backup files, permissions are not saved with the files. If you restore later, the permissions may conflict and the IMEI get messed up.
So, it is better to use tool such as EFS backup pro that also backup permissions.
Will this tutorial work for my only "USB Bricked" SGR? If yes, then which steps should I follow?
Actual matter:-
-Doesn't charge via a wall charger nor USB cable.
-Download mode accessible.
-Reverted back to Stock Indian ROM as well as stock recovery.
-Doesn't detect on any PC. Also tried MAC. Not even in download mode.
-Can't charge at all. Have to charge my battery by putting it in my Sister's S2.
All i did was google for the zip. Glad I could help..

OK Good at least its booting now, no one can help you in this you need to take it to Samsung Service Center and tell them that all of sudden my phone is not working properly and network is not there....
Before doing this make sure you are on stock ROM and without CWM flashed on the device...
A question -> Does the unbrick process require downgrading bootloader? I suppose not. Correct me if I am wrong.
And if not, can xlm13x separate the two processes of downgrading for resetting counter with usb jig and unbricking the phone. Currently it looks a little confusing.
Also, anyone who has just bricked his phone may be a bit panicked and may not be paying full attention.
Just a thought. You may choose to ignore
Sent from my GT-I9103 using XDA
Downgrading bootloader and unbricking are actually same things, if u follow steps of this post actually it wipes the whole system parttition (the whole root folder, including efs and bootloader). And than it writes it back but it will write bootloader 2.0.
So in both cases (unbrick, downgrade bootloader) will have to follow the same process that's y I created this 2in1 thread.

[Q] Formatted NVRAM using SP Flash Tool, what should I do?

Phone: Cherry Mobile Titan (Rebrand of Konka w990/Spice-mi 500/Axioo Picopad GEW)
Processor: MTK6577
Hello guys, this is my first post as I could no longer find any solution on the internet. Hoping some experts could help
I accidentally formatted the NVRAM of my phone using SP Flash Tool. The new update didn't have the option not to format it. Now my IMEI's are lost. Although it is still possible to restore them using some methods. But none of the methods I have found were permanent. A simple wipe/data factory reset from CWM Recovery removes it instantly. Is there a way I could restore the NVRAM, or at least make the restoration methods permanent?
Thanks in advance guys!
EDIT: I tried flashing all available ROMs (SP Flash Tool Based / Flashable Zips) but still it shows an invalid IMEI. I also tried restoring a backup of my stock ROM to no avail.

hey guys .at this picture error how can i solve this error?
h t t p : / /u1306.hizliresim.com/1b/l/p975s.jpg
first, you`ll need to root your device. refer to here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2332783
follow the tutorial step by step, if you brick your device i will laugh at you. if you got questions, ask them before doing random stuff.
if you got it rooted, you can recover your IMEI with different software. i will link one in this post later.
for questions - use this thread or PM me.

I think your phone is dead. Is the phone detected when you plug it in to your pc via USB?
phone isn't dead. root it first, recovering imei is easy then. cannot explain more, im on smartphone right now.

so, here is a tool to generate the IMEI`s of your smartphone. you will usually find them in the back of your device. push the generated file to /data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI/ and DON'T FORGET TO SET FULL RWX rights. (with ADB, cd to the mentined folder and set MP0B_001 with chmod to mode 777, in root explorer just check every box for read write and execute. otherwise phone cannot read the IMEI.
What a lame answers. Especially ones suggesting to root phone.
They guy clearly told he is able to restore MP0B_001 in phone, but its SOFT-IMEI and is lost after wipe/factory reset.
@ Original question by ToldarkenHansam, which is kinda outdated, but considering lame answers here:
To restore HARD-IMEI in NVRAM hidden partition use SN Write Tool or Maui META 3G. They are able to write hard IMEI and calibration to NVRAM partition.
@ kokabunga - if you have nvram.bin backup you can easily resore it with SP Flash Tool. Just open your scatter file with any text editor, find a __NODL_NVRAM section and remove __NODL_ part from it. Reopen scatter in SP Flash Tool and you'll be able to check NVRAM partition.
It might not be able to upload it without other parts selected. But you can you Options->Write memory, then manually enter start address, which will be show on download/upgrade page near NVRAM and length (your nvram.bin length) - that will always work. Be careful to write correct address thou.
Sidenote: all suggested methods before only touch SOFT-IMEI, stored in /data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI/MP0B_001. Its lost with any wipe/reset, because whole /data partition are formatted. Then the whole /data/nvram directory (if it's empty) are restored from hidden NVRAM partition on EMMC. If you've corrupted your NVRAM when it won't restore correct IMEI ofc. With all methods mentioned above (i.e. replacing MP0B_001, echoing to pttycmd1, using mtkdroidtools, mobileuncletools and others) will only edit MP0B_001, i.e. soft copy of IMEI, which will be lost again with next hardware reset. Sure you restore your IMEI that way every time you wipe/reset/upgrade firmware. But its more solid to fix your IMEI partition with SN Write Tool / Maui META 3G so it will be correctly restored automatically from NVRAM at every wipe/etc.
EDIT: @Chrizzly92 this software are very outdate. It generates 24 byte MP0B_001 file, used by old MT6573/6513 platforms. Newer 6575/6577 uses 120 bytes MP0B_001 which are different. If you put 24 byte MP0B_001 generated instead from imei.c software, your phone will be buggy and will be constantly loosing IMEI every few hours until reboot. It's better to use MtkDroidTools or terminal method (echoing to /dev/pttycmd1) to correctly restore 120 byte IMEI file.
n9770, mt6577, no problem at all with the generated files.

NStorm, thanks for your awesome explanation.
I do not fully understand the nvbin flashing part.
I also have a backup I believe, but I am unsure.
I do have a proper nvram backup, so the proper files that are overwritten on flash.
With SP flash tool I get error 8038 when trying to flash.
Firmware upgrade is not working either even with all partitions.
I tried to remove __NODL__ from the nvram to fix it, but no luck.
Can you explain how to make that imei file and flash it with dd command or anything?
Would be awesome to get this problem fixed!
thank you
[update]guess what, you can do it with mtk droid tools 2.4.8 too!
I tried that before, but I used a backup I made after the issue.
Found an older one and it seems to work![/update]
guys..for permanent nvram, imei error or invalid use sn write tools.

3. Extract the file using 7zip. Then extract the ZIP file inside.
4. Open SP_Flash_Tools.. select the extracted files earlier and select the scatter file.
5. Everything will be pick automatically.
6. Take your phone battery. Press start and wait "Searching" and connect your Phone (without battery) using USB.
7. Make sure you have the driver. Installed the driver if necessary.
8. Wait until you get "Doughnut" OK button. Warning : Never disconnect the cable during this operation as it'll brick your phone forever.
9. Once, OK. please disconnect your cable. Put the battery into the phone.
10. Make sure the battery at-least 80% before you perform the CWM steps.
Good Luck! If you need any further guide please revert here.. I'll try to create another 'empty' ROM after this if there is a request. Thanks.

Hi there..
before perform any update please... and please backup your ROM.. that's the reason "MTKdroidtools" being develop.
Use the application to gain "temp" root to able you to get the image files.
Then create SP Flash ready files from the backup image files.
If you don't have the backup ROM don't be hesitate to search it in google and XDA forum.. if your phone is "unique" please ask your friend. Loan the phone for a few minutes to make a backup images.

if you have CWM backup so you can install CWM on your phone and make a backup of current OS, then put the CWM backup in it and restore it.
if you have MTK Droid tools backup then you first make a flash able backup by choosing MD5 file from the backup. then it makes a new folder !file_to_flashtools . this is your flash able backup with scatter file.
Open MTK flashtools and select the scatter file and choose download or upgrade firmware which you like. connect the PC with battery or without battery , choose the options for battery.
make sure your android adb interface driver and preloader driver and cdc drivers are installed ?
how to install drivers ?
on your phone and select development and check debugging option and connect with PC. PC install drivers automatically if you have windows 7 . stop that process and install drivers manually . second time switch off your device put the battery out for 15 sec and put it again but no phone on. just off mode. connect with pc and install its preloader driver. Now press the power button continuously on phone device its ask for CDC drivers. install it and now your drivers are done.

Huawei Enjoy 5 (TIT-AL00) - Install Google Play store guide

This is to show you how to get Google Play on the Huawei Enjoy 5, which standard Chinese Stock ROM does not have Play store enabled.
Note: when unlocking the phone and installing custom recovery, it might mean that the OTA updates don't work anymore.
Since we have not yet had an update since I installed this, I could not check, but this is what is said in the Huawei unlock site...
Credits: my sincere thanks to andrik22, who guided me through the whole process...
Prerequisites:
Huawei Enjoy 5 phone (TIT-AL00)
Huawei Unlock tool (attached)
ADB drivers (attached)
ADB / Fastboot software (attached)
CWM Recovery file (attached)
GAPPS Pico for ARM64, Android 5.1 --> Download from Opengapps.org
Steps to complete:
1. Install ADB Drivers
2. Unzip ADB software in C:\adb
3. Unzip CWM_Recovery.img in C:\adb
4. Copy the GAPPS file into C:\adb
C:\adb should look like this now:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
5. Now got to the phone and write down:
Settings -->about phone --> Status--> IMEI 1 + Serial Number
6. Connect phone by USB to computer
7. Enable USB debugging on phone --> slide down the notification area and touch "USB connection options", then on the bottom of the screen enable "USB Debugging"
7a. Copy the GAPPS file from C:\adb to the root of the external SD card on your phone
8. Unzip and open the Unlock tool (you might need to disable the virus checker, as this will be flagged and deleted, at least this was the case with me) --> fill in IMEI 1, get Product ID, write that down.
9. Go to the Huawei site to get your unlock code (log in with Facebook, or Huawei ID, fill in the required information product type = Smartphone, product ID = TIT-AL00, serial number from the phone, IMEI code, Product ID). Your unlock code will be below in Red)
10. Startup command prompt (Windows key + R, type cmd, enter)
11. In command prompt, type "cd \adb" to get to the adb directory
12. In command prompt check if device is recognized (typing "adb devices" in the command prompt should show you this)
13. Now reboot the phone into fastboot by typing "adb reboot bootloader"
14. This should reboot the phone into fastboot mode (black screen, only showing "fastboot>" on the bottom
15. In the command prompt, type "fastboot devices" to see if the device is recognized.
Your screen should look something like this:
The next command will unlock your phone AND make a hard reset... if any data or settings would need to be preserved, please make a backup!
16. Now type in the command prompt:"fastboot oem unlock XXXXX" where XXXX is the unlock code you got from the website
17. Then type in command prompt: "fastboot reboot". After this, your phone will reboot and reset.
18. When Phone is rebooted, make sure USB debugging is on again (same as point 7)
19. Now reboot the phone into fastboot by typing "adb reboot bootloader"
20. This should reboot the phone into fastboot mode (black screen, only showing "fastboot>" on the bottom
21. In the command prompt, type "fastboot devices" to see if the device is recognized.
22. Now we are going to flash CWM Recovery: type in command prompt: "fastboot flash recovery CWM_recovery.img"
23. reboot into recovery by typeing into command prompt: " "fastboot reboot" while holding VOL+ on the phone.
24. When the options screen on the phone appears, press VOL- to select the recovery mode. This will boot into CWM recovery.
25. In CWM recovery, select "install ZIP" and select "From Memory card" and select the Open Gapps file we have copied there in step 7a.
26 When flashing is done, type into the command prompt: "adb reboot" to reboot the phone.
This should reboot the phone. first 5 minutes it might be very slow as it is optimizing (Google) apps, but then Google Play store should be working on your phone!
Attention!
When installing SuperSU you can NOT get ROOT!!!
You will receive a cyclic reboot. And for the restoration of the phone need flash original recovery, and then install the firmware version B128 from the official site (update.zip).
Links for firmware version B128:
TWRP recovery
Original Recovery
Official page TIT-AL00
Firmware version C00B128 from the official site and mirror. Size: 1,2 Gb (The Chinese have made a mistake, inside the archive file located in the upgrade "dlaod" - is wrong, the folder should be called dload.)
Firmware version C00B132 from the official site and mirror. Size: 1,2 Gb
Firmware version C00B135 from the official site and mirror. Size: 1,2 Gb
Firmware from the official site installed only from original recovery, so if you have installed CWM recovery, you must first restore the original as it is written above, and already from it to make a clean install.

It worked perfectly now. Google Apps are installed. Thanks a lot, guys!
One more gotcha: the Huawei Unlocker.exe didn't work for me when executed directly from the .zip file, even though it's only one file so I expected that to work... Perhaps it self-extracts... Anyway, you need to unpack the .zip file first and then execute the unlocker .exe

do you know where we can download that firmware?
and did you test that already? might be good to have a more westernized ROM available, so also the EMUI badges might work for whatsapp for example...

Manufacturer again changed the method of obtaining the unlock code.
You need to go to the phone account Huawei. For example, Huawei club, HiApp or Huawei Cloud+.
The report said that you did not go to these applications for more than 14 days.
The second option - for unlock to write their e-mail data (down - contact us).
thx for answering, first solution didnt work, so i sent mail, hope i will get some positive answer.

Unfortunately, there is only a version of the installation software VPN, included in the service with Huawei phone with the expectation of 14 days.
I have not tested it should work in theory.
Perhaps you can write in support of Huawei in your country - that they may request an unlock code from colleagues in China.
Hi, I still have not solved my problem, so I have one question.
Will it be possible in the near future root this device?
Or i can trow it in the trash.

Even if it will be able to get root, too, need to unlock the bootloader on it.
You have tried to write an e-mail?
Send an email to [email protected] Email them the following. They usually email you back and tell you to do go online to unlock your bootloader and it should work on the website, or never email you back:
Hello. I keep getting an error when trying to unlock my phone on the unlock page.
Model: TIT-AL00 (Or whatever model you have)
Serial: Put in your phones serial number here. (You get this in About phone, Status)
IMEI: Put in your phones IMEI number here. (You get this in About phone, Status, it's IMEI1)
Product ID: (Go into your phone dialer and dial *#*#1357946#*#* and it will give you your Product ID, or use Huawei Unlocker)

GSM network blocked

Good night guys, and happy new year.
Yesterday (December 31), the GSM network of my X2 blocked out of nowhere, and now, is asking for the NCK code to release the network. Also when I go to check the IMEI number, it appears only zeros. I researched the internet on how to get the NCK, but I did not find the methods of deblocking reliable. Has anyone had this problem? Does anyone know any way to solve this? Strange to say, since I've been with the device for almost 3 years and it has never happened before. And to make matters worse, some apps are no longer working, like google play, gmail ...
Thank you very much in advance,
I have the same problem
I put my SIM Card into another phone and it works without any problems, so it guess it's a problem on the X2 side.
I did a factory reset, formating the internal card, reinstall the system and restore a backup, none of them helped
I tried to do the same, and it did not work, either.
Do you use Magisk? If you do so, it's known for being the culprit.
Yes, I installed the newest version of Magisk.
I deinstalled the app without any success to solve the problem and then I reseted the phone several times also without solving the problem.
Does anybody has a clue where this information is stored???
Thanks in advance

Uninstalling the app won't do anything because Magisk modifies your kernel (boot.img) which you must restore to the original one from a TWRP Backup or use the Magisk uninnstaller.zip.

You just need to restore your stock boot.img. There's no EFS partition here because this isn't a device with a Qualcomm chip.
For root you can use SuperSU 2.82-SR5 + suhide.

Yeah, it should be good. Maybe you should install your firmware with Stock recovery and dload method. Then a factory reset shoud fix the problem but don't flash Magisk.
How to install firmware with Stock recovery ?
whick files belong to "firmware" and how to do?
I need step by step teaching :crying:

I saw that you have a GEM-702L with parts from GEM-701L firmware which might also be the issue. You must use a firmware made for you hardware variant or debrand to GEM-701L firmware which requires you to do some extra steps. Check your build number and post a screenshot.

I repair 2nd Imei of Poco X3 pro Vayu from UMT RSA method in eng Rom. I get backup of QCN. it shows imei1 0 imei2 (86*************12) but when I flash global rom. it shows NV data corrupt. I again flash ENG rom. write that backup QCN it shows Original IMEI's but when I flashed Global Rom It shows nv data error again. although Original imei of that Phone. I erase efs from Fastboot that also doesn't help me. what is the problem & how to solve it.
can I flash custom rom for mobile work normally without sim?
or custom rom doesn't help?
if any firmware that solve my problem & phone work normally (without sim) kindly tell me.
