Does anyone know where I could find hack for Nobis nb7850s which equipped with Allwiner A31s CPU? I am also looking for ROM file which can not found from official source.
Thanks,
This nice tablet seems to be universally ignored by the Android dev and hacking community, and its manufacturer. It is locked down *tight*. If you do enable developer options all you have access to are Process Stats and Revoke USB debugging authorizations - which is useless because you can't enable USB debugging.

Hi,
I have a WellcoM A69 mobile phone I would like to connect to with Eclipse for debugging purposes. It is running Android 1.5 cupcake. I'm a n00b here so I can't post a link to the specs, but it's easy to find them on Google (you may need to use Google translate for Thai language translation as this phone is for the Thai market).
Even though I enable the Development USB Debugging option, Eclipse doesn't detect it. Is there something in the ROM created by WellcoM that would prevent USB debugging?
I saw this with a MID Android tablet I tried before as well. Can they disable the debugging option even though the menu option for this still exists? Or perhaps there is something else I have to do?
For lesser known devices, what can I do to get access like this? How can I find out how to reboot the device, perform recoveries, install custom ROMs, etc.?
Thanks,

The main thread is at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=976605 but I can't reply to it (too new). I know there is some sort of security setting I need to change to put it in developers mode before the program will work...but can someone tell me what/where to make the chances. I can't seem to find it. Thanks!
OK, found that. You need to enable USB debugging mode in your phone (Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging).
But when I plugged in the phone in debugging mode, it needed to install ADB drivers and can't find them. Where do I get them?
You will need to install the Android SDK on your computer. google it.
Apparently you also need Java SE Development Kit 6 Update 25

Hello
I've got a Memup 704C, aka Coby Kyros 7048
And I just can't seem to connect via ADB (usb)
this comes with a RK 2918 chipset and Android 4.0.3
I've checked the win7 drivers, and it appears alright. on the system devices...
things I've done so far
re-installed the Android SDK
checked RK drivers
started using ADB.exe 1.0.29, instead of 1.0.25
Of course debugging is enabled, as also "allow mock locations"...
On a previous model, I've used pdanet to make sure it was well connected to my pc, but in this case, the device just doesn't appear anywhere else, besides the control panel... (on the "Devices and Printers")
is there a way to connect via usb to this tablet, in order to use Eclipse to perform some debugging on my application?
I've tried to use another tablet (same brand, model, and specs) but it didn't connected also
Ive also tried to use another pc, but no success. I've got 8 other tablets still in the box, but I don't think a third one will do the «trick»
If I turn on "usb storage" I can access the file system...
I'm going nutts on this one.
Hello... anyone??
Couldn't find firmware (Allwinner & AllwinnerTech dot com), couldn't find USB drivers (never could get pc & tablet to see each other) - frustration & ignorance (I'm newb as it gets) allow me to ask why you need a Win device to root an Android device? I still don't know the answer to that, but I successfully rooted my tablet without a pc & here's how I did it:
1) dl these to your tablet:
-- "framaroot 1.5.1" (source: xda-developers "Alephzain" THANK YOU) :good:
-- a file manager (source: google play store - I have ASTRO)
-- "root checker" (source: google play store)
2) pre-root tablet settings:
-- settings>security>device administration> enable "unknown sources"
-- settings>developer options> enable "usb debugging"
3) run "framaroot 1.5.1" - it's done in an instant. run "root checker" to verify. :victory:
4) go back into settings & disable "unknown sources" & "usb debugging"
After reading so many pc req'd root methods, I'm really curious to find which devices this method WON'T work on (& why).
This tablet was a gift & something I felt safe using as a learning tool before trying anything fancy on my LG MS910 phone.
It already has ICS 4.0.4 on it & is obscure enough where it won't surprise me if I never find a 100% functional JB ROM (I keep reading about touchscreen issues) - but little successes (like this root) motivate me to continue learning & experimenting.
Thanks for letting me share.

android 4.4.2
Click to collapse
Are you looking to enable USB debugging?
Try this app
Some kitkat phones don't have the enable ART option for example, because of partition size issues. If you don't have it, you probably can't use it. Flashing a custom ROM could get your the options your are missing though.
Well there is a way to unlock developer options in android 4.4.2 - 5.0 but it works only in some devices. First go to settings -> about device -> build number and tap on it until it says "you have become a developer". Only works if your ROM really has developer options.
