Nandroid Backup Restore Error

I attempted to restore from a Nandroid backup and it failed. Noticed
that all my Nandroid restores fail with the same error. Here is the output. Thanks.

The solution that worked was to wipe data/wipe cache/dalvik cache. Install another ROM via CWM. In this case was the Galaxy Rom HD. Reboot, let it be for about five minutes. Reboot into Recovery and then restore the Nandroid backups.

Failed to mount /data (invalid argument) during backup

Hey there
So I followed the guide available here to unlock and root my phone. I thought of installing a custom rom, but wanted to do a backup with twrp first in case something goes wrong. When i try to do the backup of all partitions, twrp displays 'Failed to mount /data (invalid argument)' and says backup failed. But when i attempted to backup 'boot' only, it went through without any problems. Is there any way to fix it? I'm a noob user so a step-by-step guide would be best. Thanks!

"E:Unable to find file system (First period)"?

Hello,
I was flashing Resurrection ROM on my Mi4i device and due to problems I decided to restore the nandroid backup and it worked on the first time..Next day i tried PACMAN ROM and due to same problems i again tried to switch to nandroid ...But now it wont work, when i try restoring it suddenly an error stats "E:Unable to find file system (First period)"? and recovery(TWRP) starts working for further restoring process and an error stats saying RESTORE FAILED on the top and "E:extractTarFork() process ended with ERROR=255" at the end of process...I've tried reflashing recovery and recopying backup from my pc..but nothing helped

BUMP! I am still searching for help. Basically same error but without the error specification.

same problem on my S4 Mini, resurection remix, cant restore the back up.....

I had the same problem when I was starting to restore the backup that was being made to the ROM stock of my phone. I started to restore successfully started Then the system successfully but then gave me error "E: Unable to find file system (first period)" and as the backup that was made of ROM stock was INICIO DATA SYSTEM AND how to restore The backup come all checked boxes, I uncheck the data box and then just checked the box started and SYSTEM restore the backup and did not give me the error I was given before, backup it with ice Recovery (TWRP) on my Alcatel Pixi 4 phone (4) I hope they function

TWRP Backup - What to select?

I have just got this phone, I have moved from a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, and on my SGS 7 Edge when i wanted to create a TWRP backup all i needed to backup was:
Boot
Data
System
and this would allow me to restore to a fully working state.
However when i do this on the A7 2018, the backup completes but when i try to restore, it bootloops and i have to flash the firmware through Odin and re-flash the recovery and re-root.
There are a lot more options to Backup when using TWRP on the A7, there is:
Boot
Cache
Data
Recovery
System
EFS
modem
misc
cp_debug
System Image
Vendor
Vendor Image
odm
What from the above do I need to backup to get a restorable backup for the A7?

Backup failed system.img on twrp

Backup failed always i try to backup all data on twrp but system.img failed what gonna do for this?? Thanks for help
