Need Help on Bootloop, How to unbrick XT1033 from bootloop? :( - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Help ! Help ! Help !
First of all My power key is not working
I was using stock rom 5.1 in my Moto G falcon xt1033 and was so curious about android M and CM13 . So I installed Teamwin TWRP recovery and flashed Official Cyanogenmod 13 (nightly) with nexus 4 gaaps.
It was running smooth then i installed Cosmos CM12.X theme from CM Theme after upadate of theme i got msg " Unfortunately, System UI has stopped. "
Due to not working of my power button i used google device manager to restart phone by choosing Erase my phone .
then my phone is gone to bootloop. Now i can see only Flashing screen of " teamwin '.
Please help me . How to fix it?
Thanks in advance.

You need to get fastboot / ADB working on a PC / Laptop. See FAQ Question 6: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2537119
The following command will get TWRP Recovery working:
fastboot erase userdata
When in TWRP Recovery, you can push a ROM.zip to phone using this command:
adb push ROM.zip /sdcard/

on my moto g xt1033,
after, installing ROM CM-13.0-20160820-SNAPSHOT-ZNH5YAO0J1-falcon
Then i, installed Gapps = ARM_6.0_micro (opengapps.org)
then everything is fine play games, etc.
i installed super su from play store, but unable to update binary!
so boot into recovery and flash UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
now i stuck in boot loop,
(Earlier Point)now what to do?> and after installation of rom twrp asking me for partition modification- Keep Read-Only OR Allow Modification. i select allow modification. so where i go wrong?
NOw stuck in boot loop, i can able to in Fastboot and select recovery also,
so what do i do, option 1-> wipe everything n install rom , gapps again.
option2-> without wiping install rom (like doing overwrite) onalready installed rom.

@Nile786 - Might be worth flashing a more recent version of SuperSU: https://download.chainfire.eu/1003/SuperSU/SR1-SuperSU-v2.78-SR1-20160915123031.zip

@lost101
Thanks for Ur help, that SuperSU zip file, I flashed in twrp, it really worked for me.:good:

I didnt get anything from the post. you have to be little bit specific.
i mean you
1. unlocked bootloader(fine)
2. installed twrp(also fine)
3. installed cm13(great)
4. you reverted back to stock rom??? How from twrp, flashfire or fastboot.?
and now how are you trying to install twrp? from fastboot?
Flash twrp image with fastboot, start TWRP, reboot recovery within TWRP, then twrp sticks... profit.

TWRP is not sticking...
1) Start the bootloader, flash TWRP in fastboot with the command: fastboot flash recovery twrp.img (Replace twrp.img with the name of the TWRP img file)
2) Press VOL DN to start Recovery and select it, TWRP should start... When prompted if you should allow changes to system, say YES or allow or whatever so that is allowed to mount system as read-write.
3) In the TWRP main menu, select Reboot, then Reboot - Recovery
4) The device will restart and TWRP will start again, if asked to allow changed changes to system again, allow it
5) Go to Mounts and make sure Mount System Read-Only is NOT ticked
6) Press Home, then Reboot and Reboot Recovery again
TWRP will start again and be set, it will not go away unless you flash something with a recovery.img in the file (custom ROMs do not normally contain this file).

At what point? What command are you using to perform the flash?
I'm sorry... I've just done this on numerous G3's and what you are describing doesn't just happen for no reason... either the initial flash was done incorrectly, the process to set it was not followed, or there is actually a defect in the device (which is unlikely if TWRP boots even once after bring flashed).

NEVER USE KINGROOT OR KINGOROOT on a Moto G3 with Marshmallow, it will soft brick... We have seen at least a half dozen specific examples by experienced users... Somehow you got lucky, but I would never recommend this method to a user.
Now, once rooted Flashify is a viable option.

[SOLVED] Mi4i continuous reboot issue, Fastboot not detecting, MI4i stock recovery

I wanted to try brand new Nougat ROMs. So, I flashed twrp using Mi4i Toolkit and took backup of my MIUI8.
I tried many ROMs and decided to return to my MIUI8 nandroid backup.
But when I tried to restore the nandroid backup, It went successful but after restoring, Phone started rebooting in each 4-5 minutes. Searched and found that many people were facing this issue and they stayed on custom ROMs just because of this issue. So. I thought to create a new thread so this major problem can be easily solved.
How I got it fixed that,
REBOOT ISSUE
Download Full stock MIUI ROM pack here : http://en.miui.com/download-263.html
1. Boot into TWRP
2. Wipe Dalvik/ART, Cache, Data (Internal Storage not required to wipe)
3. Flash ROM zip.
4. If It gets failed, No need to worry.
5. Go to advanced options in TWRP and select "Fix Contexts".
6. Try flashing Again.
7. It is successful now. Boot device and Perform a full reset ( again deleting Internal storage is not needed.)
8. Here you go, No reboots now, You get brand new performance of MIUI ROM flawlessly
Hit thanks if it works for you or ask me in replies.
Fastboot Not Detecting
It has been noticed even after installing Minimal ADB and Fastboot drivers properly and performing all adb commands flawlessly, some computers can't detect devices in fastboot mode. Here's the solution.
1. Download Minimal ADB and Fastboot here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
2. Install and extract in a folder
3. Open command prompt in the folder.
4. connect your device in fastboot mode. (By holding power and vol- key, you can enter in fastboot mode)
5. Type
Code:
fastboot devices
and press enter
6. If it detects , then you've no problem.
7. If it doesn't detect go to device manager on your PC ( Press Windows+X, M on win10)
8.It might be detecting your device with some name, look for it.
9. Once you find, choose to uninstall its driver
10. Now click on action in menu bar and "Scan for hardware changes"
11. It now detects your device. If It doesn't, Uninstall and Install ADB drivers again and repeat above steps.
12.
Code:
fastboot devices
now should be showing your device.
MI4i Stock Recovery
Found stock recovery on MIUI forum for MI4i but there's a problem with that. It shows option to wipe External SD (which isn't supported for MI4i), So I doubt this could be pulled from the same MI4i.
So, I backed up Genuine MI4i Stock Recovery from my MI4i with flashify.
Steps:
1. Boot into fastboot mode.
2. Connect with PC and open command prompt in the same folder of fastboot and ADB
3. Put this file https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B98eukQ9ePc-NnljcmxjWWJvUHc in same folder
4. Type
Code:
fastboot flash recovery mi4istockrecovery
press enter
5. Cheers! You're now on stock recovery.
6. Boot into recovery mode to verify.

Which ROM?
This issue is called Bootloop.
1.Flash twrp through cmd
2. Wipe everything ( except the internal storage, as it's not needed )
3. Try repeating the same.
If you again face the issue, try downloading flashable zip of the same ROM and try flashing via twrp.

The easiest way to do this is by dowloading fastboot ROM for your miui version. Once you extract the files, there will be a recovery.img inside.
Then u can flash the recovery via fastboot flash recovery recovery.img to return the recovery to stock.
Done.

@croperas yeah that was the problem too, cause when I had finally my sweet rom, syberia os (the only android 12 available atm for op6) I tried to go back to the recovery but can't, tried reinstall everything but I couldn't so after some research couldn't find anything, but anyone who had problems with recovery almost always had problems with incompatible versions (like twrp for android 10 but had android 11) so I then realized it isn't still available a custom recovery for android 12 for op6. So after erasing everything its all fine. Thanks a lot guys really appreciated.

I have the same problem after flashing OO 11.1.2.2. If I try to boot into any older version of twrp I receive a crashdump, if I try to boot to twrp 3.6.0 it gets stuck to logo. If I use the command "fastboot erase userdata" do I lose something?

I don't use twrp anymore. Attached is Magisk patched boot for OP6 11.1.2.2 I patched from the latest payload.
fastboot flash boot_a magisk_patched-23000_OP6_11.1.2.2.img
fastboot flash boot_b magisk_patched-23000_OP6_11.1.2.2.img

Install the twrp installer directly from magisk
What I did was trying to install Lineage OS 18.1 (the latest nightly from Jan 11 2022) with Lineage OS Recovery. Following the official wiki I always got stuck in the lineage os boot animation. Never got past that. Tried to fastboot boot twrp.img but TWRP stuck on logo. I think I never tried to boot twrp with the userdata erased. I think I will try it.
Anyone trying to install the twrp, check out SHRP recovery for OP6/t. Boot the img and flash the zip from that thread. tested works with both OP6 and OP6t in OOS 11.1.2.2.

stuck on bootloader?

hello friends,
i have recently unlocked bootloader, and tried to root and install twrp custom recovory.
but as usual i got stuck with the bootloop of recovory mode.
i was using realme 5 android 10 with realme ui.
today iam going to share the files ive used init.
note: please dont ask me if something happens to your device, this worked for me that doesnt mean they will work for you to.
what you need to have? : twrp Recovery, custom rom -> custom rom is really important.
note twrp works for both colouros and realme os
twrp:twrp file download
adb and fastboot: adb and fast boot files, extract it
the above adb file contains recovory.img, dont use it. use twrp
follow these steps:
1) move twrp file into the adb folder.
2) boot into fastboot and follow the commands from commands.txt
boot into twrp Recovery
3) install the custom rom you have downloaded.
---------
after installing dont just boot into system format it and then boot into it.
______
i hope this will work for you.
---- i have found all these files in the 'xda form' thanks to all the people who shared these files
