What exactly are you trying to say?
I'm looking for a custom rom for this phone.
First, this is not a ROM request forum. Second, it's generally considered rude to ask a developer to make a ROM. Developers for the most part do this as a hobby, in their free time with no compensation outside of any donations they may receive. They do not work for you. You are welcome to start reading and researching how to build your own Android ROM.
Please do not make further posts of this nature.

Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.

If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.
Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!

Comming... . soooon.......
nice to see some development has going on!
I'm maman_ on the xiaomi forums, and I'm planning to compile aosp 5.1.1 or 5.0.2 for the Mi 4i. Any help will be very appreciated
currently I had downloaded the android sources, and cloning the kernel source to the `devices` folder. If I'm not wrong, the next step is constructing the device tree for mi4i. any pointers?
also seems that xda user dh.harald has been succesfully integrate the wifi drivers into the kernel, which is a good news.
also new thread in the development thread will be good too
Waiting fo relase its will be awesome
thanks for u r work
Thanks
Thanks for giving ur time highly obliged
CM
Now that a few people are trying to port CM to the Mi4i, I wonder what it takes that it will be officially "supported" by CM?
can i request for official support form custom recoveries like TWRP 1st instead of jumping to custom rom development??

I understand, but if everything works, how is the process to have it officially supported?
i couldn't find a similar thread or question asked about this. Does anyone know the ETA of marshmallow's availability (CM13 maybe) ?
You can search the development and original development sections. Below is a Marshmallow ROM. AOSParadox team is also working on one.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/one...nt/experimental-homemade-android-6-0-t3225725
It is pretty much AOSP though.

It's generally never advised to ask for ETAs hence why you don't see threads like yours. Just wait patiently for the devs to bring up the source and implement features. If you're in a hurry learn to code and do it yourself
NB: I pressed thanx by mistake.

Hello
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
Each device has its peculiarities that should be noticed before installing a O.S. Even, as a learning playground, you will surely need to experiment with your own device. Given your report, we could not determine the Manufacturer & Model of your device in order to better approach your request.
I will have to ask you to create a new Thread where you could be as detailed as possible regarding your devices information and needs.
Nice regards and good luck.

ROM requests are not allowed. Also, if you want someone to build a ROM for you then you'll have to PM some developers here and ask them if they would be willing but you'll have to be willing buy another device like yours and donate that device to the developer. If you can't donate a device then you are wasting your time asking for a ROM.
If you can't or won't donate a device then you'll have to learn how to build ROMs for yourself. There are many guides for building your own ROM all over the Internet and there are many members here that have made their own recoveries and ROMs because their device was not supported by any developers.

As I'm in the same position with this phone I'm considering creating my own basic ROM for it. Although I'm good at IT in general I'm not a programmer or developer or Android expert so I'll need to ask one or two of my friends to help me with the compiling and makefile aspects of the task (according to a Youtube video).
My question is how much time my friends would need to put aside for this (as long as I do the downloading and use my PC to do all the compiling work).
I don't even want to ask them if it will take hours of their time.
dude it is not problem for me

Hours would be an understatement, more like days weeks or even months to iron out all the kinks.

Do a Google search for:
"How to root (type your device's model number here)"
Go to system settings>about phone and look around in those settings for your model number then use that model number in your search.
If it doesn't find anything for your device then there is not a known method to root your device.

If a developer that has the skills to build a ROM actually owned one of your devices or had interest in building a ROM for that device, ROMs would already be built for it.
Since there are not any ROMs for it, that means that no developers own the device, developers only build for devices they own and then share their work with the community. This device is not the kind of device that a real developer would own or be interested in building for, it is not "new" or "cool" enough.
If you want a developer to build a ROM for that device, you have to be willing to buy another device like it and donate it to a developer(if you can find a developer that is willing to build the ROM for you, you have to find them, they will NOT come to you). If you can't or won't donate a device to a developer then you won't be getting your ROM unless you or another user of the device or you and several other users of the device get together and get to work learning how to build a ROM.
Mid-range to low-end devices usually don't get support from developers, some of these devices might get/have ROMs available but that isn't because an actual developer built them, it is because a user of the device or a group of users, that are not developers, takes it upon themselves to build a ROM for the device.
If no developers have built ROMs for it, but you are determined to get a ROM, then you need to get to work learning how to build it for yourself, you stand a better chance of getting a ROM that way instead of waiting for "someone else" to build a ROM for a device that no one is really interested in.

Specs are not what really matters, it's all about how well the hardware components are made, the mid-low end devices typically do not have good quality parts, regardless of how awesome the specs look or what processor it has. A really good processor on a low rated/cheaply made motherboard isn't much to be excited about.
