Galaxy S3 Neo with Cyanogenmod 12.1 stock e-mail client missing? - General Questions and Answers

Hi, I found a lovely rom here on XDA, though cannot find a default e-mail client.
I can add e-mail accounts in the accounts section of the settings , and they sync, but I can not find a way to read those mails.
Where is the default e-mail client.
Am I missing something?
I can find a com.android.email folder containing the attachments, but no apk.
The rom I am using is:
[ROM][5.1.1][UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 12.1 for S3 Neo.
Update, the email app is removed by google, it is now merged with Gmail.

There is one for me

Can't open PDF Attachments with Email Client

I apologize if this has been asked before, but i haven't been able to find what i need through search tool.
We're demoing a Galaxy Tab here at work, and one thing we have got stuck on is the email client. We use Domino email server, so when setting up the email account options, we chose "other" for the account type. This works, we can send and receive mail just fine; however, there is one problem. When we receive a PDF attachment, there are no options to view/preview/save the attachment. We've installed Adobe Reader from the market to see if that would help, but no luck.
We can receive text files and other files and view them without issue. We also tried sending the same PDF attachment to our test gmail account. The gmail client opened the attachment without any problems.
Any ideas? Is this a strange issue with the "other" account type ? We're stuck.
Well it works fine here using the email app (not the gmail one) with a gmail account
Maybe because i updated to Firmware JM6? I don't know..
I have a corporate account configured on my tab (Zimbra) and everything is fine using the standard mail app (I can fetch and open attached pdf files).
Have you tried to configure the account through Accounts and Sync in Settings, instead of using the mail configuration in mail app? Don't know if it an be different, but I have configured that way and it's working .. just remember to disable contacts sync if you don't want to mesh contacts from corporate
Install Blackmoon attachsave from the market

[Q] Cyanogen Account Sync on CDMA Hero

I just completed my first root. Installed Cyanogen 6.1 Stable (Froyo) and overclocked using SetCPU. My knowledge is quite limited as I just switched from WinMo to Android 2 days ago. I installed GAPP but it only allowed me to sync my Google contacts. I located the Gmail apk but it will not auto-sync my messages. I have to manually initiate send/receive. When I go to settings/accounts, Google shows up but it only displays the option to sync contacts and not mail or calendar. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I've spent a considerable amount of time searching for a solution to no avail. Thanks.
Ummm....did I post this in the wrong place?
I am using the gmail app, not the email app. Calendar, email and contacts all sync.
One think to note is when you create a calendar event on your phone make sure you pick the calendar with your email address, otherwise it will not sync.

[Q] Managing email

I am trying to set up the best handling of email-on PC and remotely on Android devices.
I am a long time user of Comcast for my email address, so I am hesitant about giving that address up. I primarily access my email from a PC and like to download and back it up (using Carbonite). I also like to set up folders to store and sort my email.
However, I would also like to be able to access my email from the Android devices, deleting, replying, sorting as I do on my PC and have the work done on one device sync with the other 2.
I recently purchased the Samsung Galaxy S3 and just got the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014.
So, my question is: What is the best means of doing this, from the standpoint of best PC email client and best Android app? Is this possible with Comcast or would I be better off just transferring over to using my Gmail account?
Am I being to overly simple by suggesting that IMAP is exactly what you are looking for?
Maybe I'm missing something too, but Gmail (and most other web based e-mail services) allow you to retrieve e-mail from your preferred e-mail account and also let you use that account as your "sent from" e-mail address. As noted in the previous response, you should be able to accomplish this via IMAP. Just sign up for a web based e-mail service and follow the instructions for retrieving e-mail from other servers,

This is true. I have 3 different accounts mapped through Gmail. I can respond to each account as if it were coming from its native email.

[Q] Outlook/Hotmail Email Issues

Is anyone else having issues getting the email app to retrieve server settings/account details for hotmail based accounts? (I have this issue on a few ROMs, only occurring today and I can access my email via windows applications/the website.)
UPDATE: Flashed stock email APK over PA Gapps and all is well

Hi Xda,
I have my pop emails configured on my phone on Gmail's latest app which allows users to create there on pop/imap emails within gmail app. So here is the situation. I have a pop email account personal one not gmail. There are quiet a few sent items in it. I want to take a backup of those sent items. Is it possible? If yes, What is the best way to do it?
