Hi there. I am new here to the site, so please help me with my problem..
I have an HTC One E8 phone and the unit is so interesting so I rooted it using kingroot. Apparently, the IMEI of the phone was "erased" after I successfully rooted it with the said app, making me unable to make calls or send text messages. I tried getting the IMEI on the packaging of the phone but it was tampered for unknown reasons (maybe one of my kids do tamper it! Hahaha  ) I also tried looking in to the solution myself online, and after a lot of research that I made, I found out that the best thing would be unlocking the bootloader first then flash TWRP and the a custom ROM so that it will work again. But, when I tried to go to the bootloader mode [pressing VOULME down button + POWER button] I got some sort of chinese characters, very different from the white bootloader screen that most of the HTC phones have. with these, I can't do anything else. I am so stuck right now so please help me with this. I definitely owe you a lot. Thanks for any suggestions.
NOTE: btw, the serial number of my phone is R21D95GAYVH. If you need more information so that you can provide me some solutions, I am gladly willing to give it anytime. :good:

Hi everyone, it think now someone could help me
After my HTC TP2 verizon, they give me a sprint one. I've tried to flash hspl but it's impossible, tried flash stock rom, the process stopped at 1% and told me INVALID VENDER ID. I can put it in bootloader and it's shows RHOD400, 32M SS-BC SPL-0.63.0000.
when i boot it it stops on a black screen where it's written touch pro 2 test only not for sale.
How can i get it running? Please help me
Sounds like you got some developer model, perhaps the bootloader is different enough so HSPL will not work...
Why would Verizon give you a Sprint branded TP2...? That makes no sense whatsoever.
I've taken that with a friend, not verizon give it to me. So how can i try to flash hspl? please help me

Re-read my last post. It sounds like you got some special dev/test model, where the bootloader is different enough causing HSPL to fail.
I am not skilled enough to determine "why", all I can do is speculate off of the output you provided.

You won't be able to use a sprint device on Verizon service without some hacking too.
You will not be able to get the HSPL to work on this phone because it looks to see what phone it is before it unlocks it. With a develppment model there is no way to know what the id's being used are without hacking the phone.
The only way is if you could get the devs to edit the unlocker for you. Good luck with that. They don't even answer their help desk requests for this app at this point. It is abandon-ware as far as I can tell.
Just pick up a replacement off ebay for like $50, or use this one for parts and replace the system board from one with a busted screen.
What do you mean by development model, and where can i find the developper s site?

A development phone is one that is provided to a company before the official release of a phone for the purpose of debugging, and software development. It is usually labeled not for resale. These phones frequently are non-standard. You will need to contact HTC to find out what developer it was assigned to before you would be able to find out what the developer's site would be.
Best advice, just get another phone. You will not get this one to work unless you are a software developer and reverse engineer.
thanks

someone say something
I highly doubt anyone will be willing to do this for you. From my understanding this is how phones are cloned. Example: say I sent you my efs files, and they matched exactly with the hardware of your phone (yes the hardware changes in model lines sometimes) and you installed my efs files on your phone, you'd be running the exact same phones as me. And carriers would see 2 of the same running on their networks. One would be shut down for good, permanently, never workable again.... I don't think anyone wants to risk that.

i am not living in USA, in my country AT&T not working, if i use your EFS files your phone is not damaged, EFS recovery files including only radio wifi and network information, some people share his EFS files and nothing is happening but i cannot find D850 EFS files
Sorry 1986 Its not gonna happen
Other options insurance or call LG tell them you were upgrading your phone and your power went out. Maybe they will fix it for you for a small fee.

Hello,
I've searched through xda and other websites but couldn't find a proper answer -- my apologies if this was already asked and answered in an existing thread.
I have purchased a S6 from Amazon, but the device is branded with Swisscom, with an awful boot logo and sound, and a few specific apps.
I'm waiting for a nano sim, so for now I don't know if the phone is also simlocked.
I intend anyway to install custom roms, so I don't care much about this, however I can't find out whether the bootloader is locked or not (in which case, I'll have to send it back to Amazon I guess).
Can someone assist with this? The device is a SM-920F, I made the OTA update to 5.1.1 upon powering it (which might have been a bad idea actually, from what I read later..). Not sure what the bootloader and rom exact versions are, but I will add them to the post if necessary.
Thanks in advance!

Yes bootloader is unlocked. As far as which firmware you can use, you'll have to wait til you find out if its an international unlocked G920F. If so, you have many firmwares to choose from, just Odin and boot. Then recovery and factory reset and your CSC codes will all be lined up (that's just what I do) and happy flashing.
Thanks for the feedback.
Just got the nanosim, which registered just fine on Orange France, so the device appears to be unlocked and operational.
I'll proceed with rooting etc. in the coming days.
Cheers
Hi guys, I've googled high and low and I can't seem to find anything that I a)understand or b) feel is relevant to my situation.
I bought a HTC on ebay, it arrived, I put my sim in and realised it was rooted. The phone doesn’t work on my network, I knew this when I bought it so I bought an unlock code but due to the root, I can’t seem to enter it, it just says no sim inserted.
Ideally I’d like to remove the root, I’m not a technophobe and learn pretty quickly, but I just don’t understand all these different versions of firmware etc.
I followed the unlockr guide and found out my CID is VODAP001 but the main-version is blank so I don’t know which roms or what have you to download.
I’d be happy leaving the rooting as it is if I could enter my unlock code, but I can’t figure out how to do this either. Is anyone able to help me? I don’t know what’s been done to the phone, the seller is ignoring my messages, I can’t return the phone as I (stupidly) missed the description where it stated the phone is rooted.
If it helps, it says im using cyanogenmod version 13.0.201xxxx and I've seen TWRP when booting to recovery mode etc. I've downloaded a few files, used an all in one mod or something from hasoon but as yet, the file system is unchanged.
I've seen something called sunshine which apparently unlocks to any network but as I've just forked out £100+ for the phone, I don't have the £25 the guides say it charges to unlock
Thank you in advance.
Phil

I bought a second-hand galaxy S10e that was advertised as being stuck on a boot loop. I fixed the boot loop by flashing with a stock firmware, but was greeted with an frp lock that I triggered in the process. I contacted the seller about it, but he said he bought it second hand himself and has no way of contacting the original owner. I've tried a couple things and thought this through, and I decided to ask here whether I missed anything.
First, is it possible to read the google email associated with the frp lock from the device in order to contact the last logged in owner? that would make this a lot easier if I could ask them to unlock it for me.
I assume this isn't possible, since I couldn't find anything about it. what are my other options? while recovering from the boot loop, I flashed a very recent firmware, so all of the 'frp bypass' tricks I see advertised don't work. I also wasn't able to flash a combination file.
Does anyone have any experience with this, and any ideas I could still try? Bought the phone for my wife, and I'd hate to see her angry :|

Can you elaborate on how you achieved this? So I and others can follow the procedure too?
