Hi everyone. Sorry for my bad english, and sorry if i posted in the wrong forum this thread, i don't know where to put it...
Yesterday i flashed the stock ROM for my Lenovo A536 Smartphone. But then i started it and noticed, that there was a notification alerting me to put a Sim card in Slot 1. So i don't have 2 SIM Card Slots but Only One Slot. I checked the phone, and it's running like i charm. But i really wanna know if i do something wrong?
Build Number is: A536_S179_150403_ROW
But before i flashed it it was something like that: A536_S173_and i don't remember the rest..
And once more i'm sorry if i post in the wrong forum...

Maybe the IMEI number is not present.
Dial *#06# in the dialer and tell whether it shows the IMEI number.

It seems you have flashed a ROM which is for a variant of your phone which has dual Sim.
So, you have two solutions:
1. Either flash the correct stock ROM for your phone.
2. Or, using MAUI Meta 3G (MTK Droid Tools), flash the IMEI number for the SIM1 (Google it)

Thanks, but i can't find the correct rom. If you have any clue where i can find it(because i've searched every possible variant but can't find it, only ROMs for dual sims).

Yeah, i tried this site too. Nevermind, i'll stay with this ROM now. It''s not a big deal anymore. Thanks for your time
Can anyone give link to download flashable zip that i can put in sd card and install for a536 .
after change the rom of my lenovo a 850, dual sim the second sim slot not detected no chip and no network please help
i try 3 diffrent official rom on my phone. but also i have the problem for second sim card.
IMEI might be invalid
Try to find out if your IMEI are unknown by your phone.
I had similar issue after I flash a stock ROM on my A850. For some reasons I could not use my two SIM cards as previously. IMEI of both SIM slot could were not identified by my new freshly installed Android. I had to do some engineering tricks by using "Engineer Mode MTK Shortcut" from Google Play and I followed tutorial on Youtube on Invalid IMEI. Lucky enough, my sticker inside my phone was still intact and could set those IMEI digits back on this phone. IMEI is a 15 digits code. Your phone has 2 IMEI.

it has one IMEI . after flashing the phone the imei wasnt known . then i register that with dongle . one slot only be active.
You have to register both slots with their respective IMEI. Was quite easy for me:
1) Install Engineer Mode MTK Shortcut from Google Play
2) Look for some video on Youtube about "Invalid IMEI on MTK Phone". Commands for registering the second IMEI has slightly different parameters than the first one but it works. All detailed in few videos that I cannot post URL but easy to find.
Problem not solved
I also have same problem and the problem is that the phone after rooting it was showing only one sim with invalid imei and the second sim is not being shown at all. It looks like it has become a single sim after rooting. Please help in detecting the second sim.
Hi, so i had the same ROM and sim card for like 2 weks and nothing happend. Today i wake up and see this:
"INVALID SIM CARD
NETWORK LOCKED SIM CARD INSERTED"
And it asks me to write a password or some thing.
What the hell do i do? The ROM i use is a 6.0.1 i think from France because my country didn't have a marshmallow update. The sim card is from Poland.
Please help. I will appreciate any advice.

the marshmellow rom designed here have issues that may show up in the future as they have been modified from the official release.
boot into recovery and try wiping the caches. if that does not work. You may have to do a factory reset.

This message is for carrier locked phones. Is your device carrier locked or unlocked by default?
Me and my friend both bought the mate 9 from the same store. He has the new update but when I try to update it I don't get anything.
Does anyone know what is the issue or how I can officially update my mate 9
He just update his phone from b136 to b138.
Try swapping sim cards between you and him.
Are you both have huawei id registered?

Huawei is known to sometimes restrict upgrade deployment by IMEI and operator so switching SIMs might trigger it.
Alternatively you can use FunkyHuawei.
Sent from my MHA-L29 using XDA Labs
I had to laugh a little, we all bought ours from the same store.
Try without your sim card in it also. Could manually flash with funkyhuawei also.
Not sure why they are limiting the update to imei, it's crap idea from them.
Probably to spread the load on their servers.
Or there are slight component differences.
I can confirm that swapping sim card will instantly detect updates to download since I was in C636B110 before. Even a dead sim card from the region that allows the update will work as well. In my case, I swap my Canadian Rogers sim with a dead HK sim and it detected updates available.

Hello,
I have a Honor 8 AL00, and i wanted to flash a custom rom into the phone.
I encountered the problem where it showed Error 7/E1001 while flashing the rom.
While reading the replies of a rom i found this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/development/rom-t3606257/post73158733#post73158733
I followed the instruction and it worked, and successfully flashed the rom.
The problem is that after i open the phone i found that no sim card were detected, even though there are one.
I decided to change the custom rom but still it couldn't detect the sim card.
So now i reverted back to L04 internation rom and i am using it.
But i wish using the custom roms, Any solutions? Thanks!
Nope, no solutions, im in same situation. Till developers dont make 3G sim cards work i cant use any of the custom roms.
well its a 4g/lte sim so i dont know if it changes something...
also, i had a pin in the sim card so maybe thats the problem

Can you try switch back to stock and then see the behaviour. Or remove pin there and cone back to custom.

Is it a 4g sim and in sim 1 slot? If any of this is NO then it may not work on custom ROM may be. Similar issuess were reported for 6X but nit sure if that exist in other models too
