My battery life is about 5 hours turning on 3g and screen, using apps such as facebook, browsers...
I get between 10 to 30 hours, depending on usage and settings. Screen On - time varies between 3 to 7 hours, average around 4 to 5 hours Screen On-time.

According to your stats, you had a "screen-on"-time of about 3 hours. That should be the reason for that high battery drain. The display is always comsuming the most power. Just saying...

yeah I suppose. I just left phone last night to see how much battery was used. it used up 20% I had nothing in background and apps were closed via greenify. on 4.4.2 I only lost 5-10% during night sometimes less

NEW Samsung Galaxy S5 losing battery really fast

My mom's old iphone last longer than my new Galaxy S5. I put brightness to lowest and I'm not running anything that should drain my battery. I have to charge it about 2 times a day. This phone is new, I got it 2 days ago. Is this supposed to happen? Even when I turn off the display, it lost 3% in about 45min. I'm starting to think they gave me a bad battery or charger.
I paid full price for this phone.... not cool
That doesn't sound right I have had mine on for a while here are my battery stats

I would factory reset and if problem persists try another battery, even if you resolve the problem a spare battery will always be handy.

I wonder if it was always like this or if it's a reason for the bad battery compared to the first firmware in March?
Yes, it's normal for exynos.

It's normal, he works like that. 6 on and the other two only on when necessary. And no, doesn't drain battery, the work queue are optimized for nice idle sleep.

How the hell is that possible? Just switched to the S8 from my OnePlus 3 where I easily got 7-8h SOT.
Now I'm on the second charge and only got 5h

S8 or S8 Active? This thread is about the Active, which has a 4000mah battery vs the 3000mah battery of the regular S8
