I have the MT7-L09. Ran the Lollipop update, lost the ability to choose LTE/4G data. Tech support told me to factory reset. That restored LTE/4G, but caused me to lose many other features - motion control, 5X5 grid, Huawei keyboard, etc.
Huawei tech support is frustratingly useless (repeatedly told me to contact Google ). I've read all through these forums, but there is such a massive amount of information that I can't find exactly what I need to do. After factory reset, it says I'm running Lollipop, B329.
What steps can I take to get my goodies back? Please take pity on my dumb ass and point me in the right direction?
Flash again full b329 or back to kk and then update to lp

Thank you again.
I followed the instructions, but the install failed at 95%. It rebooted, I put in all my settings, it downloaded all my apps again. Still missing 5x5, motion controls, keyboard, etc. For the heck of it, I moved up to Marshmallow. I still don't have 5X5 and now I have no themes, the nav bar won't hide. I have motion controls though.
This is very frustrating.

Hello,
Try this to get the nav-bar auto hide functionality back:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-7/general/guide-restore-hide-navigation-bar-emui-t3374122
Its strange that you dont have 5x5 (in MM, if you hold down on the desktop, you should get Wallpapers / Widgets, etc. there should also be a More Settings option,
where you can then change the Home Layout - 5x5, etc). I've learnt from experience to never do a factory reset, as that makes different options disappear for some reason. I would try to go back to a clean KK, and then install LL and MM again, without doing any factory reset, that could get your Motion Controls back.

That's what I get for calling tech support! I should have just come here and asked first and I never would have factory reset.
When I go to the Home Layout, I only have 4X4 and 5X4 options. I do have motion controls again, so that's something. I think all that's missing right now is the grid, the keyboard and nav hide. I'll take a look at the link you gave me on that. Thank you!

I'm in the United States. How do I tell which ROM I should be using? When I went to check my phone, it says:

By now, I suppose you know how to downgrade back to KK. You are already on MM, so you first need to flash the transition package B500, then flash LP B326, check if you now see vendor and country info. Let us know what you see. Then flash transition pack B300, followed by KK B148.
if you have already tried all other suggestion without success,
you must know that Mate7 was not officialy sold in USA, as i dont see this phone on official Huawei regional site .
Anyway
you can fix all your issues this way
Install B500 : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzKA9jiieekaS1JtT1RhTWdtczg/view
Then Install B327 (will fix vendor information):
https://mega.nz/#!dhxCgDiY!xE_iZYGyZ8g1IepsDhPMWFDkWekEIg7qLI-C-6hJiis
and report back
then i will tell you if you can upgrade to MM
So far, so good! I've successfully flashed B500 and B327 (thanks very much for the links, mutahharbashir!)
Now when I check it says:
Vendor: hw
Country: meafnaf
So, I'm reporting back. Can I move up to MM now?
Now you must flash b326 for africa and then you have update to mm

Looks what he write about hw!!! This it's for Africa and he can flash 2 ROM dedicated b326 and b329. If you see @bleu.ember added screen about update for mt7-tl10 but some time when you have mt7-l09 you have this update to
Since I'm not sure which files I should be installing, maybe for now I will stick with LP. Everything is working properly now so I'm happy. Besides, there are things on LP that I like more than MM.
I have another phone just like this, with the same problems, but I didn't install MM on that one. It is still on LP B329. To fix that one, do I have to flash B500 and then B327? Or do I only do B327?

is there any way to solve snapchat not logging in on roms 7.1.1 ??????????
Hi! I have this same problem!
works fine for me. using latest Resurrection Remix
I tried 4 different 7.1 roms and snapchat worked with none of them. Tried to unroot and stuff but it didnt work, decided to downgrade to good old 5.1.1

Snapchat does some funky license checking. Basically it doesn't want to work with the latest version of Android. I found that a fix for that is to reinstall the app a bunch of times and also reboot the phone. That sometimes fixes it.

So i think i'll install this rom cause:
-B181 is up to date (actually B180 is the latest stock official)
-it's rooted (adblocker)
-no bugs with capacitives buttons
-fingerprint scanner enabled while rooted
@gaguga & others :
I've got an honor 9, STF-AL00 rebranded by chinese seller to STF-L09.
I'm actually on stock B180 rooted with supersu 2.82 SR5 and twrp 3.1.1-1.
I'm still encrypted : i didn't format again after installing supersu.
I loose the capacitives buttons since I installed twrp on recovery while on B180.
Any advices to install this custom rom before i'll try?
Should i backup something before?
Trying this rom from rooted stock B180 result in being stuck at unlocked screen indefinately with "booting now".
I managed to restore to my previous working state with the twrp backup i made just before.
So I'll guess I'll have to downgrade to B120 prior to install this, like stated.
Yes,in first post ist this information:
Install only if you are on a 120 firmware.

You must have downloaded the wrong version of xposed. Try it again and make sure you get the one for SDK27. I did it through Magisk and had no issues.

Rooting alone should not affect your battery life. Various mods can and will, for better or worse.
Mine has improved, albeit slightly. Power management on this phone is excellent out of the box.

could be a simple fix. check to see what is keeping your phone awake. I use better battery stats from playstore but I know there are other apps out there that can identify partial wakelocks.
