Greetings,
Thank you for using XDA Assist. I don't think that's possible but I will move your question to the Verizon Note 5 Q&A forum so you can get expert advice from the users that own your device. Good luck!

Did you ever figure this out?

They are required to SIM unlock it if you own the phone outright.

Found a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III. How can I unlock it?

I found a stock Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III. In the "About Device" section, it says the model is SCH-I535. I'm extremely new to android and rooting, etc. This is my first android phone.
If possible, how can I unlock this phone to use for T-Mobile USA? Also, if it does unlock, will I get 4G data speed on the phone?
Thank you,
Jason

its not going to work properly on t-mobile...yet I should say.
fyi check my guide in the dev section...section 7 directory, should be a link to unlocking device for gsm capability.
How about attempt to get it back to its owner?
OK, first off the carrier will never give you the owner information. Second, other than calling the number in about phone there is no other way to get it to the previous owner. You can try calling the most recent dialed to try and get it back to the owner but if they already claimed it as lost on their insurance there is no going back. They do not stop the claim.. Third, I will not tolerate abuse on my forums.
Thank you for your cooperation

galaxy note 5 unlock
I'm trying to do the same thing as in being able to unlock the galaxy note 5 via sprint. what is the best route to do so?
Your all talking about unlocking these Note 5's. I am assuming carrier unlocking. If so, which verizon Wireless bands do they work on if any at all? And can any one confirm it for a fact? And yes, I have done serched. And have found zero hard evidence to my question.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Verizon-blocked bootloader

I have Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Verizon. Is blocked bootloader.
I wanna root my cellphone and install custom rom. Somebody know how bypass this protection?
I think as of right now, it's IMPOSSIBLE to root Verizon note 5 and it will stay like that in the foreseeable future

You should check out the forum before asking. If you want root sell your Verizon Note 5 and get the T-Mobile variant.

That won't work if he's on Verizon!
If you're on AT&T, sure no problem.

But you won't get HD calling, VoLTE (so no simultaneous voice and data) or WiFi Calling unless the IMEI is whitelisted and Verizon won't whitelist the IMEIs of the TMobile Note5.

Carrier Unlocking Verizon Google Pixel for T-Mobile

Hi all!
I was looking at a Verizon Google Pixel and was hoping to unlock one and use it on T-Mobile.
Are there any challenges with unlocking the phone?
Will it have all the correct bands for T-Mobile?
Any other information would greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
It will work, and all Verizon LTE phones (since a few years ago) are carrier unlocked.

I am pretty sure all Pixel's are unlocked no matter where you get them from.

Just to be clear, it is carrier unlocked and will work fine.
But if it is updated to 7.1.1 and is not already bootloader unlocked you won't be able to unlock the bootloader.

If you still got tracphone call them they will unlock it. If not a paid service is more than likely the route you will have to take. I've had tracfone unlock devices for me before

I don't think I can call tracfone directly from my country. The phone was a gift from a friend. And I can't get in touch with her. Do you have any idea what will be required of me if I can contact tracfone?

To cantact them for unlock you normally have to have active service through them. I would double check to make sure the device is even capable of being on your network. I have a Verizon j3 2018 and its unlocked but does not support the frequencies of the other carriers in my area
