Database Info

403 error for new Nexus 5

Unlocked bootloader, TWRP recovery and Cataclysm ROM installed. I'm getting 403 error when trying to update or install apps from the Google Play Store, I've tried every major fix such as clearing cache on the store, removing proxy settings and reloggin my account. Any thoughts?

Gapps was included in the ROM zip, I have no idea how to do it manually.

Before digging into that..delete your existing account and begin again.

Was that what you meant 'relogging'? Try again, but reboot after you delete your account.

Did you perform a full wipe before flashing Cataclysm???
Is this problem occurring only while installing apps via playstore? or does it happen when you install a apk file as well??

I wiped and also wiped cache and dalvik cache.

Two things I'd do:
1) Wait...it could be a legit server error and nothing you can do on your end...
2) Use the wait time to learn how to flash Google framework.

1. I don't think so because I remember it updating when I first used the phone just two hours ago, before flashing anything.

Tried to install Purity ROM with newest Gapps but I still get the 403 error..

Nothing as far as I can remember, only unchecked the messages thingy in google play store. The one at the top in settings for the app.

You can't do anything as I found out. You just have to wait it out. It's a Google problem not at your end. I just waited for 40 minutes or so and the downloading was possible. There are may users with the same problem

Here's what you want to do:
Backup all your personal files and store them on your computer, just in case.
Go into custom recovery and wipe all partitions EXCEPT INTERNAL STORAGE.
Reboot to download mode straight from recovery
Flash the firmware via ODIN (This will unroot your phone and revert ROM, Kernel, and Recovery to stock)
Your phone should boot, but if it doesn't, you need to reboot into stock recovery and perform a factory reset (THIS WILL WIPE ALL PERSONAL DATA ON THE PHONE)
Just restore your data from your backup and you should be good.
You'll now be on the newest firmware. Let us know how it goes.

Hello, I got an annoying problem, some adware was installed on my S5, and I can't find it, I scanned with several apps and nothing was detected.

Looks like an IAP add to me.Try deleting the last app that you installed.

That's what I don't want to do.

You could try antivirus but I doubt that will work.if all else fails,you have to do a factory reset

Try booting into Safe boot and install AV/AMW app. Usually holding the volume down + power during startup will do the trick

No, impossible. Every downgrade need format system and data and internal storage. It's easy try to hard reset the Miui 11.

Understand, but whether you do a downgrade or you do a hard reset you lose the data of the internal memory.
Make a backup of your data or copy an Pc all your files.

Absolutely no, hard reset is one of the silutions, I don't know how you did the update but I know that before an update you do a hard reset. Alternative make a downgrade with Miui tool and then update.
