Me and other users have detected that when browsing xda sometimes appears a popup from www.itt-edu.us and if it is pressed it directs to app 360 light from google play. I have already done factory reset and chrome cleaning but it still persists. Can someone help us please?

I had a problem with xda forum app in android market. every time i'm click on a thread if i'm sign on i had force closed but if i'm not i don't have any problem. is there any way to fix it? it easy for me to access favorites if i can sign on
xda forum app has problems on many devices besides the GTab
Please make an effort to search the threads before starting a new one.

Possible solution for you there.
Would greatly appreciate if there was a report button on xda app, then I don't have to switch between pc and phone(I don't use phone browser much). If I have posted it in wrong section or if someone else has.
Also, just a wish, it would be great if we could delete posts, which nobody has replied (then you don't have to worry about losing info).

You can request the XDA app feature in this Thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=841646
Also, deletion of posts is not possible/doesn't implement to normal members because its the privilege of a Moderator.
Re: Report button for xda app
I read it elsewhere that they didn't allow to delete, because they are scared of losing info (something along those lines ). But if we were able to delete un replied posts, if we solve it or find a link, then it wouldn't be a problem would it
Ps:thanks for the link

There is actually a [Solved] tag working in Questions and Answers section if the purpose of Thread becomes solved. Don't know how it works, but have seen in that forum. And I don't think deletion of empty threads would be possible at all for the Thread Starter, and the nearest bet would be to report it to the Moderator for deletion. App called Forum Runner does have the report function, if you used to browse XDA majority of the time from the app.
EDIT: And deleting Thread just because you've found the solution is not a good idea, because if you've posted the link inside it maybe it would save somebody else or would be helpful who're on the same situation.
Hi guys,
Wondering if anyone can help me fix this issue. Only started occurring today for some reason after a reboot.
Basically I'm logged in to XDA with the app, however I can't reply or view notifications etc as it comes up with an error "security error (user may not have permission to access this feature)"
The same error occurs when I try with tapatalk.
Strangely though I'm still getting notifications like before, I just can't view them when I open the apps.
I can log in with no problems using tapatalk on my iPad and using web browser.
Tried clearing cache, reinstalling apps, wiping app data and reboot with no success.
Is there any way to get these working again?
Also, this doesn't happen when I'm on wifi. I searched these forums and google and found one post from 2011 saying to uncheck 3g compatibility in settings but I can't find that setting anywhere in the app or in general phone rings

Same issue, i thought at first it may have been redirects through tapatalk servers breaking. Disabled those, with crappalins. After doing that it persisted and then found links from 2012/13 where the problem existed and they said that any links that involved search would be disabled via applications to help server load(as they were under heavy load)
I can't confirm as nobody else is talking about it but I'm still effected on/off. Hard linked threads like "Q&A" of any given device will work but things that require a search like "participated" for your username don't generally work.
Not a solution, but sharing of sufferage.

Do you also have the same problem with the XDA app? I find it really strange that this behaviour occurs over 2 apps.
It's also started occurring intermittently now ; may work completely fine for 3 days then it breaks for a couple of days.
I don't use XDA app but it's not the app. All times I've read of it both apps are effected. Its server side whether mobile portal overload or intentional dispersement of traffic by server Admins.

I have a somewhat similar problem, I can't seem to use this app while on my home wifi, but if I connect to my mobile network (Verizon) the app loads and works perfectly. My home wifi always causes the app to say failure to load, even though everything else with my home wifi works. Ive tried clearing data, uninstalling/reinstalling. No luck.

First of all, you revived a thread from 2014 lol.
And second, around the 30th of November, XDA will have a big update, including the app. So your problem may be fixed by the upcoming update. Read more here : https://www.xda-developers.com/big-changes-to-xda-forums-are-coming-soon/
Can anyone please help me with a problem to use this forum?
Normally, my member ID is 5806611. Apparently I can't access it anymore, the way I used to.
When I try to reply or access my "settings", I get this (screenshot):
http://prntscr.com/6whc6q
Regarding that info/post:
1) As far as I know, I have 60+ posts.
2) I have no idea why I should be restricted in using the site.
3) " the administrator may have disabled your account": If this happened, is there any reason for that, or can it be corrected?
The only thing that possibly went wrong, in the last few days, was problems with my password, so I had to reset that password a few times, since I had a lot of problems to log in. Problems started when I linked my Google+-account to my armadiljo-account.
So: what can I do to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Jo
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I can view your member ID and it looks like your user name is armadilijo. Have you tried signing on with that name? I'll ask a moderator to take a look and see if there are any other issues.
Thank you, and you're right. That's me (armadiljo is the correct spelling, but that's not the issue )
I can log in with the name and my password, I can browse topics, but I can't reply. Not on my pc (win 8.1 + chrome), not on my iPad (latest iOS + safari).

I'm getting lag when I use the horizontal scroll buttons at the bottom of the app drawer, anyone got any solutions for this? I unininstalled the logcat app as people said this could be the problem, but the problem is still happening, any other suggestions? The problem disappers after reboot but after I use phone and some apps for a while the problem happens again. I have a Xperia Z3 and on firmware 23.5.A.1.238.
