Wifi Tether / Mobile Hotspot toggle widget or shortcut? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6

I'm looking for a way to toggle the mobile hotspot off and on programmatically. New phone, stock, 5.1.1, and tethering works just fine via the quick settings. However, since it's not called using the native intent, locale/llama/tasker cannot start and stop it.
Does anyone know of a 3rd party app that will toggle this, or a shortcut, or the full intent path?
Thanks!

Accessing Wifi settings via Launcher

Hi, I'm looking for a way to access the WIFI settings directly from Ultimate Launcher. Is there a file somewhere that opens them?
I mean the settings where I can configure a Wireless network to be Work or Internet.
Thanks a lot...

[Req] auto 3g toggle?

Does anyone know if theres an app that will turn off 3G except when needed? ie only when checking email, internet, facebook, etc?
I'm not looking to toggle the 3g manually, I want it to Automatically toggle the 3G network to save battery life.
If this doesn't exist, Is this possible to create?
I appreciate ANY feedback on this!
I am using such an app on Windows Mobile. It sounds fairly easy to do it on an app-to-app basis on Android as well.
If I have the time soon, I'll try looking into it.
Window Mobile Longlife is exactly what you are looking for.
wish it was on android though. or at least a determined date.

Click to collapse
you can try APNDroid (use the widget to toggle when you need)
you can get the 3g on/off widget by curvefish from the market for changing this setting quickly (its actually a bookmark, but it lets you accomplish this in two clicks)
apndroid and juicesaver both have widgets that can turn off both 2 and 3g networks completely.
I'm using Toggle Data widget. Unfortunatelly it's not automatic. Now I'm trying to find something similiar but reachable from statusbar. Anyone?

hiding wifi?

Tethering in infrastructure mode?

Got my SK all rooted and set up this evening. I use a third party tethering app called WiFi Tether for Root Users. I can use it in ad-hoc mode just fine. When I try to set it to infrastructure mode my devices can see the new network, but can't get an IP address. A notification icon appears says "Mobile AP activated" and I'm wondering if it is interfering with the third-party app.
I have the paid version of Titanium Backup, but I can't find anything in the list that appears related. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get around this?
No one has tried this?
I've used built-in app to create 'mobile AP' and it worked just fine in infrastructure mode. Is it really necessary to use 3rd party app for this?
I'm not sure. Does the built-in feature tattle back to T-Mobile that you're tethering when you don't have the feature?
Sorry, I'm not using T-Mobile. Got 1800Mb/month at unlimited 3G speed for 5$, no matter how I'll use it.

[Q] Removing data icon when connected to Wifi?

I know I can hide it with a Rom but I want to hide it on a Stock rooted M8.
I haven't found that option in the xposed apps Gravity Box or Sense 6 Toolbox.
Anybody know how to hide that data icon when you are connected to Wifi?
I just found some kind of glitch
So after tinkering around with an app called 4G switcher, I've found a mode that allows you to make calls (have to disable assisted dialing) texts, and use data without displaying the data connection icon unless you are using it.
What I did was I switched the radio mode from LTE/CDMA+EvDo to LTE,CDMA.
this makes the phone think it's in GSM mode from what I saw in the app Lte discovery, and in the data settings where it says cdma or GSM/umts mode. Will post pics.
