Hello everyone!
I have purchased from an asian store this gear, actually I noticed a great problem.
I am italian so the s-voice command languages preset are different from mine, I thought it was so easy to install different languages and just connecting on a pc.
So this is my question:
How can i install s-voice italian language on this asian gear?
I can't always speak english just for beginning the call on my note 3 it's quite different the pronunciation of the names.
Anyone could help me?
Hey, do you have any news regarding this topic. I get a Hong Kong version and there is only french, chinese, korean, englisch... available.
This should not be a problem but you have to pronounce Names like englisch which is quite annoying due to I am german.
I am also in contact with Samsung though, since it is still a Samsung Item and they should take care of what is going to sell here in germany.
So if there is any chance to add languages to the gear, tell us! We would realy appreciate it!
The one who give me a solution that works, will receive € 75,- from me.

Hi guys,
Just got my Sensation a week ago and it's been bugging me but I'm unable to change the language to English (Australian). The only languages in the list are Asian languages. I know it probably makes no difference, but it's just been in the back of my mind the whole time Does anyone know how to possibly 'add' Australian English to the list?
Thanks!

Hello,
I've purchased an HOS from a retailer in Romania. I've received a device which was intended for France.
No biggie, but I'm not able to change the system language - I have only English (France) as a viable option.
Is there a way to change the "country" of the device ? I'm not interested on the Google Play market, but rather the device "ID".
I really need you help to point me in the right direction...
So when you started the device first time and the guide came on. You couldnt choose anything but english?
I could choose from Deutch, English, Espanol, Francais, Italiano, Netherlands and Portuges.
No Romanian whatsoever.
If I go to Language and keyboard, the language is reported as English (France).
I got same, my phone is also from France...
I think it should be possible to do so somehow, as the soft should be same for all devices.
Please see my post HERE it'll get you fixed up.
Man, it worked like a charm.
Don't really understand why wasn't available from the initial selection.
Greetings and recognition upon you.
Glad to help.
Hi everyone,
Hope this is the proper place to post this. I wasn't able to find a forum specific to the GT-I8552.
Anyway, I picked up this phone last week while on a quick trip to Taiwan. Didn't have much of a chance to use the phone while there and now that I am no longer there, I'm surprised to find that the phone does not offer any Chinese language input options. There are a total of 45 different languages shown under the "Input languages" options, but no options for any version of Chinese.
A friend has a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 purchased in Canada and her phone is setup to use the Samsung keyboard. On the space bar, there are options to switch between the various languages by swiping it. In her case, she can easily switch between English, Chinese (Simplified) and French.
I would love it if such an option is available for the Samsung Galaxy Win. Does anyone know the secret of enabling or downloading the Chinese languages?
This phone has been fantastic for me with the exception of no Chinese. Please help! Not sure if it can help, but I am attaching a screenshot of the specifics for my particular phone.
Thanks so much.
Kenneth
Hello everybody,
First off I'd like to thank all the developers and contributors to this Forum, you're doing a great job :good:. Although this is my first post, I've been following this forum for a while now and learned lots of good things.
Now the problem...
I have a Samsung Galaxy Core LTE (SM-G386W) from Fido Canada. It only came with 5 default system languages (English, French, Korean, Chinese and one more - don't really know what it is) and I'd like to know if it's possible to install others. I bought this phone for someone that doesn't understand/speak any of the languages above, I'd like to enable/install Romanian language pack.
Phone is rooted. I tried already a bunch of apps such as Language Enabler but the results aren't satisfactory, a few app names and messages get translated but the menus stay in English. Besides when I go to Language and input menu, it shows me Romanian (Romania) selected but if I press on it, the drop down list still only shows the original 5 languages I can chose from. Therefore I assume the enabling is not permanent nor complete.
I also tried flashing a ROM from the similar model in Europe (SM-G386F) but it didn't go through.
Any ideas anyone?
Thank you.
Hi mceuca
i have the same problem with the exact model phone.
How did you solve your issue?
Please help
Just got my Frontier a couple of days ago and was very disapointed to again see interesting features removed by Samsung for my country (France). They are too often doing that (e.g. yahoo finance side apps on S7, etc...)
This time, handwriting was not on my gear S3. Here is how to activate it if not available:
Go to settings
Then go to keyboard/input mode
Replace the input language with 'English US'
Verify that this time, handwriting is working when entering a message
Go back to keyboard input language and add your home language (do not remove english US)
Verify that handwriting still works.
Note that just adding English US did not work for me. I had to remove my home one and choose English US first.
Hope this helps
Yes, and you need to do this even if your default language is currently English UK! This video explains the required settings change in detail:

Seems bazaar that the handriting oprion only works when set as English US
