Request: lockscreen SMS preview to work with AOSP Android Message App?

With SenseUI, the HTC SMS app allows for an SMS preview to be shown on the lockscreen below the gray arc. Here is my dilemma: I want to uninstall the HTC SMS app and replace it with the AOSP Android Messaging app because the HTC one is too slow. However, I need that SMS preview on the lockscreen.
Is there anyone out there that is able to and would be willing to mod the AOSP SMS app so that it displays the same SMS preview under the gray arc on the HTC Lockscreen? Of course, we would have to be running a stock SenseUI ROM (nfinite's stock deodexed ROM, in my case).

[Q] Widgets name labels showing in old style

Hi All,
I'm having problems with some widgets name labels. They appear in old no sense style, with a gray padded box around them. (see image, it's kinda hard to describe)
Is this a application issue because a widget is not the same as a shortcut? or is there anything i can do about this?
Got it in a couple of apps, GO SMS and SMS unread counter.

Widget =\= shortcut, even if the widget is a shortcut.

[REQ] Super Simple but Sexy RSS Widget

All I want is a small widget that shows number of unread items in your Google Reader account. NewsRob and D7 Reader both have widgets that show an unread count but they are both just ugly application icons with a number attached. There are so many pretty unread SMS/Gmail widgets out there... can someone hook us up with a good looing RSS one?
Have you seen the email widget from the Asus Transformer? Think something like that. Anyone up to this?
