I had search for raw photo on Alcatel idol 3 and I found a topic here in XDA about Alcatel Idol 3 raw photo and I used the app mentioned in the topic freedcam but it doesn't worked. I had try a lot of different apps but I can't use raw format (DNG, NEF...) all the apps say that my divice is not compatible so... I want your help in raw format, know someone how to shoot it? Or why it is not compatible?
Thank you and sorry for my bad English...
I already found an app Snap hdr camera it shoots in RAW DNG really well and have all the manual settings.

Since G Flex 2 has full compatibility with Camera API 2, i have buyed A Better Camera witch is on sale. I have tried in past other apps that can make RAW DNG, but the problem is the same, i cannot edit the photos in Lightroom/Photoshop without converting the photo with RAWTherapee, is thare any workaround to edit the photos in LR/PS withat converting the photo?
Hi. I've just been trying to delve a bit deeper into the camera pro settings. I'm sure I read that the camera can capture in RAW file format . I have seen no mention of this in settings menu. Or if it captures automatically in RAW & JPEG how do I find the files? I have looked for captures in a file explorer but can only find JPEG files.
If it does capture RAW files, I was just looking to transfer them to my computer to play around with in Lightroom that was all.
Thanks for any advice.
EDIT
Doh! I've just found it in the camera settings. Apologies for waste of forum space!
Where??
I would assume the sensor takes binned photos by default, but can someone confirm with a GCAM to take some raw dng photos?
Even better.. if anyone has DNGs from GCAM for download that would be great.
thanks!

The output of the main cam is 27mp. 108mp raw stream doesn't work currently, though that might change in the future.
I'll take a random shot and post the dng in a reply.
Anyone know if raw dng photo capture is capable on this phone? And anyone know what sensor is used? The stock app does not seem to offer raw. It would be unfortunate if raw is not supported. Presumably the sensor is decent but Samsung stock software is usual not very good. 3rd party camera software rules, if raw is capable.
I tried using the pro shot app in the play store. No luck. There is a Samsung system app that crashes when trying to take a raw picture. Kind of annoying, I really would like to be able to take raw pictures because I use Lightroom to clean things up. Cleaning up a jpeg in the edit app on the camera/gallery pretty much destroys the quality by double compressing.
This is really frustrating because I'm sure the camera sensor is capable of taking raw images it's almost like Samsung is trying to prevent it at the OS level just to prevent people from having a good camera feature in a mid-range phone.
No RAW. You can download the Camera 2 API Prober to see all the feature it supports. It supports Camera 2 Limited (Full or Level 3 are better).
Yes, Samsung limited it at the system level, the processing is done by the kernel and the software only receives the result in JPG or HEIF. That's why you can't really use other camera apps to improve the results either.

The main camera (f/1.8, 0.8µm and around 1/1.7X" sensor size with PDAF and OIS) can either use a Samsung s5kgw1p sensor, commonly known as the GW1 or a Sony IMX682.
No camera2api LVL3/FULL support. Disappointing. Is there any way to port it?

Do you able to capture raw/dng using Lightroom camera app?
Hello everyone,
Is it possible to tweak, bring 50MPX raw from the S23 Ultra for S22 Ultra? Or even 24Mpx would be great.
Thanks
none ?
I believe you only have two options, or 12 or 100 mpx maybe some additional app from the play store ?
I got an Update yesterday, bringing OneUI 5.1 and Expert RAW and many more features from S23 Ultra to S22 Ultra. Check for Updates maybe

The 3:4,108MP option is not available in Expert RAW.
Choose in the normal camera save raw and then 108MP and you get a jpg and dng file for each photo. Sadly Pro mode is locked at 12MP.
Yes it locks to 12Mpx in Expert Raw, so that's why I asked if someone can tweak it to make 50Mpx possible like S23Ultra, or at least 24Mpx...

"Normal" camera mode does not save any image in DNG. Only Expert RAW and Pro mode does. The phone does not save any images taken using the 3:4, 108MP mode in DNG; only JPG.
