Looking for wireless dock - LG V10 Accessories

So, I realize there are many cradle/docks out there that offer wireless charging. What I'm looking for is one that can be angled, and that will charge my device as quickly in horizontal mode (so I can use it as an alarm clock on my nightstand) as it does in vertical mode. Any recommendations?

I use the TYLT wireless charging stand. It doesn't quick charge this phone, but no wireless charger does afaik. It works both horizontally and vertically though, and it will definitely charge it over the course of a night.

I'm getting this one tomorrow. I'll let you know how it works. It doesn't work. I tried different chargers.
I got this flat one for Christmas and it works really well too. The V10 doesn't support wireless fast charging but it's still very quick.
I use an app called Battery Graph Widget Pro to track my battery charging performance and usage on my home screen. I'll try and get the mA charging values from Ampere later for the stand.
The wireless qi back I'm using is this.

I received this one from Amazon on Sunday. The only negative I noticed when evaluating which to buy was that this one had an audible beep whenever it connected to device, however I also noticed in the reviews section a step-by-step guide on how to disable the beep. I decided to take a chance since the instructions seemed very straight forward. It arrived and I went ahead and did the procedure to stop the beep, and I am happy so far. I wanted one that would look good whether I had the phone upright or horizontal. Only negative so far is that the bottom doesn't seem to have rubber feet so it can slide around if you bump it. Also, the placement of the USB cable port could be better. Here's the link:
http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IR0CQ8E?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

I have tried a number of wireless docks, and the Tylt is hands-down the best of the best. Yes, it is more expensive, but there are zero issues with it and the OEM Qi back. No noise, no heat, 800-900 mA consistent charging at any position...fantastic dock. Learn from my mistakes and save your money until you can afford one. You will not be disappointed.

lovely, thanks

I've used the Samsung hockey pucks, the fast wireless one is really good. I dismantled one and built it into a plank to put in the dash of my car. For stands, the Samsung one sucks. It's concaved, so what 3 coils are in there won't reach the back of the V10. I have been using the stand from Verizon, it's got a much better angle than the Tylt. Tylt is 45 degrees, so it's not easy to see laying down, and the Verizon is at about 60 degrees. Bummer about the Verizon is I've killed 2 in a month, so I'm not giving it a ringing endorsement. I have seen the Choetech T516 on eBay and Amazon for less than $30, and it may be what I get next. 60 degree stand, aluminum frame.

I have been using the Choetech for a while now and can say that up until a few days ago, I LOVED it! The other night I woke up in the middle of the night to see that even though I had been asleep for about 5 hours, my phone was only about 35% charged. Ever since then, it has been charging at a fraction of the previous speed and I have no idea why. I no longer have my V10 in favor of the S7 Edge, and love the angle the Choetch offers as you alluded to, so I'm not sure where I go next. I thought I'd try the Samsung fast charge angled puck, but if as you say it is concave, that won't be a good option either. Thanks for your reply! :good:

I've been using "iDOO 3-coils Folding Qi Wireless Charger Dock" I purchased on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015MUAO0I/ref=s9_acsd_hps_bw_c_x_6). Small, and folds up (~ size of a cassette tape case). I keep one by my bed and one in my bag for work.

Looking at that now - not fast charge though....

I think if you're using the Samsung phones, the Samsung upright would probably work. The issue with the LG v10 is the sweet spot for the charger is right about the middle of where the concave is at its lowest on the charger. The fast charge puck I use next to the PC is great, works extremely well, and I Frankensteined one into a box about the size of my phone for the dash, and works well. What I noticed on the Samsung stand is the sweet spot for the LG is just a tad south of center, real noticeable when you have it in portrait mode, you have to move it to the right just a bit. When I built the one for the car, I had to do the same thing, move the coils to the left so it centered better. Glad to hear about the Choetech, I was just about to order one on eBay, but Verizon let me exchange the flipping out Qi charger I got from them for a Tylt, so see how it goes.

Thanks for the info on the Samsung one. I may give it a try, although the angle also appears to be a little shallow. :good:

I have been using currently this one http://amzn.to/1r2XAll Phone is not overheated, no any sound. And there is a led (green when charging and blue when the battery is full). Really like it. I have purchased the black one.

FYI, I am no longer having this issue. I simply unplugged the Choetech and plugged it back in, and all is back to normal. Just in case I talked anyone out of trying it, I can say that it works perfectly. The only reason I am looking for a new one is that I want one that offers Quick Charge.

Review: Note 4 Wireless charging cover Samsung EP-CN910IBU

A quick overview for those who might be thinking about the OEM Samsung wireless charging replacement back cover for the Note 4. I also get into a bit of risk vs cost analysis towards the end.
I have compared both the Qi version and the Powermat version. This information applies to both. They are physically identical. The only difference is which charging standard they support.
Model EP-CN910IBU
Output 5.0v 800mA
S/N RCIFA
MSIP-REM-SEC-EP-EP-CN910IWK
Made in Vietnam
MSRP $39
Be aware these replacement covers add thickness to the handset.
Stock handset (non charging cover) plus glass screen protector: 0.360"
Handset plus EP-CN910IBU wireless charging cover plus glass screen protector, 0.425"
The charging cover adds a net thickness of 0.065." While this doesn't sound like much, it is enough to prevent most cases / enclosures from fitting over the charging cover.
These measurements are taken with a precision micrometer (certified to an accuracy of +/- 0.002")
As a common reference, an average US $0.25 quarter measures 0.065."
Imagine wedging a layer of quarters in between your phone and your case. Chances are it won't fit. Do you really want to use an $800 device with no case? The only case option would be a dimensionally forgiving non rigid rubber bumper.
When used with a Duracell powermat, the charging works as expected, albeit at the slow 800mA charging speed. The sensitivity of proper placement of the phone, centered on the powermat is still an issue. Even a small 0.25" movement out of center will stop charging.
Here are some simple calculations that allow us to directly compare *maximum* charging speeds using the basic electrical formula of Volts x Amps = Watts
Standard Wall charger 5V x 2A = 10W
Samsung adaptive fast charger 9V x 1.67A = 15.03W
Samsung wireless charging cover 5V x 0.8A = 4W
This comparison shows the wireless back covers charge at a rate of that is 60% slower than a standard wall charger and 74% slower than the adaptive fast charger that shipped with our Note 4 devices. In my opinion, this wireless setup is only practical for overnight use and possibly as a trickle charger in an office / desktop environment. It is not practical for use as a primary daytime charging system during frequent and heavy use of the handset.
The cover was $39, the powermat was $50 for a combined cost of $90. Car charging cradles are presumably another $50-$70. As a completely wireless charging solution, this costs about $200 and takes 3-4 times longer to charge.
I purchased this setup as a safeguard against damage to the usb port form a lifetime of plugging in charging cords. I have experienced usb port damage / degradation on previous devices.
Conclusion:
Consider that most of us carry an insurance policy through our provider for about $7 / month ($168 spread out over 2 years.) If you ever use the insurance due to damage, theft or loss, we pay a $200 deductible. Consider that most of us will upgrade to a newer handset within 2 years. This gives us a combined contractual insurance cost of roughly $370 across the 2 year lifespan of the device, and only if you end up replacing the device for *any* reason, not just usb port damage. Otherwise you pay only the ~$170 over 2 years.
The cost of "physical" insurance by way of wireless charging and a rubber bumper case is well over $200 all at the time of equipment purchase.
In my opinion, this high cost and slow speed of wireless charging is not sensible. I will be returning the equipment and returning to corded charging and my favorite case. I will keep the contractual insurance thought At&t. This risk vs cost analysis with corded charging is acceptable to me.
Thank you for your thorough review. I just purchased the official case yesterday from Samsung with a 50% discount coupon, after which, I started researching reviews and cases for it and found that many of the cases I was contemplating on purchasing were no longer fitting. I previously owned the Note 2 with a stick-on qi wireless coil and it worked great so I was leaning towards the same solution for the Note 4 but reading reviews about them seemed to point that the fact that it interferes with the NFC module. I use SoftCard (formerly ISIS) on a daily basis so this leads me to use the OEM back.

this is a silly "review" and an even sillier analysis.
It completely ignores the fact that all your data is on the device and if you ever have to replace it its a huge pain to back it up and restore it.
It also completely ignores how fragile the device is without a case on it.
It ignores the problem of fumbling around trying to find the correct way to insert the usb cable into the microusb slot (and if you insert the wrong way the tab can snap off) in the dark and trying to mount it on a car charger when you want to just get in the car and drive. it ignores the fact that wires running everywhere make a mess.
I have an iblason armorbox case and the samsung wireless back. Case fits perfectly, when i want to charge i just throw it on the charger. phone doesnt get below 90% throughout the day. I have an ebay 6000mah wireless charger in my bag, a wireless pad in my bedroom in a box and a wireless car charger. When i get home i literally throw the phone into the box and its charging instantly. i put the phone on my car cradle and it charges instantly. I put the phone with a rubberband in my bag attached to the wireless charger and it keeps charging while in my bag. no wires required. once a week i connect the usb cable from the 6000mah portable charger to a computer and leave it. overnight it gets topped up and ready to use for the next week. ive dropped the phone twice already (bumped it off a table and it fell from a placement on top of the car to concrete) with no issues. i dont have any silly insurance and the phone is zero hassle. i can use it in the rain, snow, dust, mud etc without worrying. the phone is always at 100% (never gets below 90%) and i dont need to worry about running out of battery.

Thank you for your opinion. I will keep mine.
I backup on a regular basis and restoring is easy.
I agree the device is fragile without a case.
I don't want the armorbox or otterbox or any other case that significantly increases the dimensions and bulk of the handset.
I don't charge in the car because I have short drive times.
I don't care for having to box or bag my phone throughout the day.
My job is not at a desk so I can't let the phone sit on a charging pad while at work.
I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on three or four wireless chargers to be distributed throughout my daily locations.
Wireless charging isn't mainstream enough yet to go completely wireless across all devices within reasonable costs. Other devices still require the cord mess. I am an "all in" or nothing sort of person.
The main reason for keeping the insurance is replacement in case of theft. Any new electronics are theft targets. I have had 2 phones stolen in the past. In one instance, I located the thief, removed a few teeth and repossessed my phone. The other went offline as soon as it was stolen and was untraceable. The insurance saved me from buying a new $600 handset out of cash.
Regardless of either of our subjective opinions, I mainly wrote the review to post the facts and figures of physical size and power output limitations. I will wait for resonant charging technology to be released and re-evaluate the cost benefit at that time. My analysis and opinions are there simply to get people to think about the pros and cons.
Wireless charging is way overrated imo. It charges much slower and you still need to have a cord for the charger itself (obviously). It literally takes almost the same amount of time to plug in the USB cord as it does to find the sweet spot of a wireless charger. At this point it's simply a novelty imo. Nothing more.
Each to their own. Any good 3 coil charge base has an enormous sweet spot, so hunting for position is not an issue at all.
If you get calls at night a lot (for work or other), the wireless charging is a god send. Trying to plug it in multiple times in the dark is ridiculous.
Now, when we have reversible connectors, my opinion might change.

I hear you man, I'm not saying it's totally worthless, but it's a very niche product imo. Like you have pointed out, it serves its purpose for some people. But I think for the average Joe, plugging in is just fine.
I do see where you are coming from however.
I have been reading about wireless charging for a couple years and never really pursued it on my Note 2 because I was with Verizon and they naturally removed it as they typically screw up phones somehow. I saw so many people that loved it and would go to great lengths to enable it. I decided after switching to T Mobile a couple weeks ago that I would give it a shot. I bought the OEM back and a cheap qi charger off of eBay and was disappointed with having to adjust my phone on the charger to hit the sweet spot. I decided to buy a Tylt charger and wow what a difference! I can literally place the phone on the charger in my case with no concern of finding a sweet spot because the whole charger is the sweet spot. It even works great through my wifes thick leather case. I love it and I find the rate of charge to be at least equal to a standard charger ( not fast charge) and that's great. I watched some netflix last night with my phone on the tylt (45 degrees)and it actually charged while streaming. I haven't personally plugged a phone in for more than 2 years since I just swap batteries out of my Samsung spare battery charger but now when I'm working or surfing at night my phone is always charging wirelessly and I never wake up with a phone that's less than 100%.
Even though it subjectively feels like wireless is as fast as a standard wall charger, it is not possible.
Manufacturers specification for wireless chargering is universally 800mA, or 0.8A.
Check my math in the first post. At 4W wireless chargers are less than half the speed of of a standard 10W wall charger.

"well over $200"? The qi charging back is $40. I got a 3 pack of Qi chargers for $60 (nokia, they come in a bunch of colors) so I could have one by my bed, desk at home, and desk at work. Numerous others are available for $10-$25 on ebay and other retailers. I'll happily pay $100 (qi back + 3 docks) or so to never touch the USB cable, fumble with a cable end in the dark, or try the cable backwards. When charging is easy you don't care about charging speed as much. 0.5 seconds to dock or undock (without even looking) will spoil you.
While I have multiple devices, I end up keeping my devices for 3-4 years with secondary uses. So even if I do get something new within 2 years I don't want the secondary device to die just becuase of a horribly designed charging cable that makes my first nokia dumb phone from the 90s look awesome. Imagine that after almost 20 years of USB might someday actually be reversible, maybe in 2015.
Never understood why the audio jack on today's phones is robust, easy to use, and impossible to get backwards. You could use it 10 times a day for a decade, yet most rarely use it. Nokia used to use a similar connector for charging, I could manage to plug it in with my eyes closed an one hand behind my back. To charge a phone daily you end up with a tiny fragile usb connectors that's easy to get backwards and difficult to get in correctly on the first try without careful examination. Already lost one phone to usb, I'm trying to avoid losing a second.
Both the microusb connector and expoxied in batteries reak of planned obsolence to me. Thankfully the note 4 can minimize both problems.
Oh, one last thing. The Qi Chargers do lose some efficiency. So if you get a charger that's USB powered you end up with a poor charging speeds. So I'd get one of the ones that come with their own wall wart. I use the nokia DT-900 (which comes with it's own wall wart) with my nexus 5 and it charges pretty quickly.

I have the wireless charging S view cover in combination with the S5 charging dock. I agree with what you are saying. The charging is really slow. Especially for such a high capacity battery used in the Note 4. I would not buy this setup again.
Does the qi back protect the camera?
Yes the qi back protects the camera lens in terms of keeping the lens from scratching on surfaces when you set the phone down. The added thickness casues the back cover to extend just past the lens.

Actually, Ive found that it does not extend past the camera lens, it makes the camera lens functionally flush with the back. Im a little disappointed in this and sort of wish it was "slightly" thicker. If it was, i think i would end up going caseless. I may end up doing what the OP described and going with the regular plugin. The batter last so long, i dont really plug it in except right before bed, and even then, i dont even need to charge it overnight anymore....

Best wireless charger for galaxy s6

Hi XDA members
in your opinion what is the best wireless charger for galaxy s6
hope everyone give us the price and the link for the product
Well it really depends on your budget. In my case, I am on a tight budget so I'll probably settle on TechMatte Wireless Charger that is priced not more than $25. However, I would really like the official Samsung wireless charger that is priced at $45 on Amazon. It is good-looking, sleeker and has functional LED light indicator.
Here is a good article about S6 wireless charger:
http://www.androidauthority.com/best-wireless-chargers-samsung-galaxy-s6-600922/
Honestly anything that has 3 coils will do well for you. I recently purchased this charger from Amazon, and it's amazing. You don't have to play with alignment as there is more than one coil.

Yep.. ^^^^ what eep02b said.. I have the same exact one and it charges ridiculously good. No issues whatsoever. I've used a variety cases and it charges them with no issues. The thickest case I have is the Caseology and the Supcase.
I don't have the S6, but I do have the official Samsung charger.
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Wireless-Charging-Pad-Packaging/dp/B00UCZGS6S
I'm using it for my S3, that has a wireless receiver inside since my charging port is rather finicky these days. It works fine for that and it's nice that it's low profile, which is what I wanted.
The downside is that since it's flat, not very useful if you wanna watch movies and such, but that doesn't bother me since I only use it before I go to bed. I generally don't run into alignment issues with it, but always a possibility with the single coil setup.
The official Samsung one works with any Qi enabled device, though if you are using it for any other device, besides the S6, like I'm currently doing with my S3, the LED indicator will not tell you when it's fully charged. It'll just tell you when it's on the pad.
I don't mind since I just use my phone's LED indicator light to let me know when it's fully charged. But, keep that in mind, if you want to use it for phones other than the S6.
The 3 coil setup is better in that you won't run into any alignment issues like you can run into with single coil set ups. If you get something like this TYLT charger, you can definitely watch movies and such since it's propped up.
http://www.amazon.com/TYLT-Wireless-Charger-all-Phones/dp/B00DG8NUC8
One other thing you wanna keep in mind with wireless charging in general. It will NOT charge your phone as fast as using the AC adapter (especially since it has fast charging capabilities) the phone came with. If you wanna charge your phone fast, wireless charging isn't the way to go. It's more of a convenience thing. Figured you knew that, but a friendly reminder never hurts.

Both works great, no issues at all. Might get the QiStone+ later on so that I can have a portable battery with wireless charging capabilities.

I use an app called Ampere. Had to use the option for the older testing method to get it to work with the S6.
The Samsung Wireless Charging Pad for Galaxy S6 works just fine for me.

My TYLT Vu only works reliably when my S6 is placed on it in landscape orientation. It either doesn't work, or works intermittently in portrait orientation.
Do you have this issue with yours?
No, the only problem that I have with it is when my phone is fully charger and then the screen of my s6 lights up and the sound of the wireless charging plays, and its keep on doing it ever minute or so... I don't know if its the charger fault or the device itself
I have 3 of these around the house, work just fine for me, and they come in different colors and shapes;

I just got the new belkin charger and works great so far. Been using a cheap one from eBay and works good too.
Waiting on more from eBay soon and I'm sure they will work too.

Mine does the same thing on the Choe 3 coil. I stopped using it. Wish there was a way to fix this without root.

I have the same issue, the wireless charger charges my phone just fine. I have 3 separate ones and they all do it, once it gets to 100% it keeps making the charging noise on and off as it looses a bit of power and starts charging again, kind of annoying when it's by your bedside lol. Anyone know how to fix that?
I have the official Samsung charging pad, works like every other wireless charger. Not sure if it was worth the $40 I got it for but the charging LED is handy and it isn't too bright to sleep with (my opinion). It doesn't have any starting/stopping charging issues at 100%.

Just bought this a few days ago, absolutely love it. I've set it down maybe 50 times, never missed a charge or needed to re-position it. For $25, you can't go wrong. Only minor down side is the surface is pretty smooth, so people without a case, I could see this sliding off. I use a clear Spidgen case, and have no issues at all charging with the case on.

3 Coils Qi charging stand for the Note 4

I just bought a high quality Qi charging stand that I think would worth a shot at $35.99. I love its modern aluminum design and its large charging area with 3 coils. I tried it for several days and it works great and stable with my Note 5.
Here is the link: http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Char..._1_23?ie=UTF8&keywords=wireless+charger+stand
However, it needs an additional wireless receiver when charging my wife's Note 4. So make sure that your smartphone supports it before you splash out on a wireless charger, or you'll need to buy an extra wireless receiver or a case that enables wireless charging.

Nice stand works very well!

Samsung is selling wireless charging cover for Note 4 on Amazon, http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Wireless-Charging-Cover-Galaxy/dp/B00OP5SAAI/
Little bit expensive, but it works great.
I ordered this for my Nexus 5. This wireless charger worked amazing with it. I think it's perfectly suited at the bedside or office. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to buy a great quality product.

As for bedside use, I'm more into their wireless charger with lightning sensor, as the light can go off in the dark.

Does it really make sense to get a single coil or three coil? The coils effect the coverage of wireless charging area but do not effect the speed of charging, am I correct?
3 coils charger can charge with a wild area, nothing about charging speed.

Wireless Charging & Cases
Has anyone tried to use the Samsung wireless charging back with a phone case and had it work? In other words, how much "stuff" can be between the coils and the receiver and maintain charging ability and speed?

I use it with the flexible TPU case. It works fine for me, no problems at all.
In fact, it even works for me with the Wireless charging SView case flipped back and placed between the charger and phone. That definitely leaves some gap between the phone and the charger.
What case are you thinking of?
If you're not in a hurry, it's worthwhile to keep an eye on chargers on eBay. I picked up a Keedox folding 3-coils charger for less than $20 (normally $35+) with a well-timed bid, and it's excellent. I also picked up two plastic Chinese 3-coils charging stands for $20 each. Those aren't as good, but they're good enough for my old S3 on my nightstand and my wife's S4.
I do NOT recommend getting charging receivers on eBay, though. Every one I tried from eBay failed within days. I ended up replacing them with receivers off Amazon.
How's the speed though? Been wanting to get a wireless charger but the thought of me waiting for a long time for it to charge is a turn off.

It's slower than wired charging, of course, but when do you charge your phone? If you charge it overnight, then speed doesn't matter. And if your wireless charger is on your desk, it charges every time you set your phone down. That beats the pants off "Doze" in Marshmallow.
If you need a quick charge, just unplug the cord from the charger and plug it into your phone. I never need to do that, myself.

Dock or Cradle for the G5?

I really miss wireless charging, and was hoping to find a dock or cradle I could pop my phone into so it can charge. There are a ton of Type C docks on Amazon. Anyone buy one or have any recommendations? Let me know!
Would not recommend this type, worked ok plugged into a PC for charging for a few weeks but not so well now. Never worked for docking to PC, always throws up errors - works fine with same cable (not the one supplied cos that was rubbish) and adaptor.
Haven't had a chance to test second battery charging capacity but judging by main bit it'll be bobbins.
It's also unstable, so if you go to swipe the screen (or even lightly brush it) it'll topple.
I was looking at that one..But it doesn't look like it would work with a case (out a thick one). I ordered this one from Amazon. Waiting for it...I'll let you know

I was looking for one open on the sides and deep enough to get up into the case.
Waiting for it...I'll let you know in a couple days.

Basically the same as the one I wouldn't recommend. Even if it charged well, it's still pretty unstable and wobbles massively when you touch the phone. You'd need to stick it to something to stop the wobble.
Hmm... I'll keep searching
Edit: THIS OR THIS ONE
I bought this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017K46T1M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's been great. Holds the phone firmly, sometimes too tight to get it off, but you'll get the hang of it. It's adjustable so it fits a case too.
It was a little finicky with some 3rd party QC2.0 wall chargers, but works fine with the LG Charger, Tronsmart charger and Anker chargers.
Just a quick review of my impressions of the WeCell dock.
I found it to be quite sturdy. Doesn't want to tip over, but you do require two hands when taking it from the dock as it's too light. Could be fixed to a surface to fix that. If your looking for something that doesn't take much space on a bed side table...it is space saving.
The USB connector pivots about 20 degrees which can make it a little tricky to dock, but after using it a few times I found it easy to dock properly.
I noticed that you should use the provided cable with the stock lg charger to get a proper charge. Was a little inconsistent with the Anker charger.
Overall it's a ok charger, but if your looking for something to use one handed, might want to check out the one posted above.

Safest wireless charger?

Anyone knows of a reliable and safe wireless charger for the S10+?
Most claim to have overcharging, overheating and overcurrent protection and I would think the phone itself must have protection to stop the charge if the charger starts acting weird, however, a chinese wireless charger from amazon completely killed my phone.
I got one on Amazon of the brand "Pictek" and left my phone overnight and in the morning was extremely hot all day (average 45° C or 113° F), battery drained extremely fast in 4 hours then phone died completely with no way to turn it back on (I tried everything and didn't even go into recovery mode)
Also, the samsung ones don't have very good reviews either and I tried one of my samsung pads (one of the first generations, not fast charge) with my galaxy buds and they got extremely hot really quick and that doesn't happen with other wireless chargers so I discarded that one as well.
I'm temped to try something like anker or yootech but even those have a few one star reviews stating they melted or started producing smoke. I'm starting to get very paranoid with all these chinese electronics, just last year a car charger from an also "reputable" brand with a lot of reviews on amazon burned my passengers car seat when my car was like 2 months old
I use Samsung's fast wireless chargers (flat and angled) and they work great in my opinion. They have a fan located on the back to keep the temperatures down and are actually pretty quiet.
I use this charger and it's way small and works well with my Galaxy buds and S10+. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07H3QV49S/ref=cm_cr_arp_mb_bdc

do you have the galaxy buds by any chance? I was thinking on getting the newest samsung dual charger but $99 is too much plus I prefer the ones that are like a stand (angled) instead of flat. I feel is less effort trying to center the phone in the correct position
I was also thinking getting one of the previous generation duo chargers but there are some reviews on amazon having the same problem I had with the samsung pad and my galaxy buds but they are having the issue with the Gear S3 but I was wondering if the same would happen with the buds.
ShaneB 0 stars, either defective or a fire hazard waiting to happen. Really disappointed

Okay so this is what I've been needing to charge my Gear S3 Frontier watch and my Note 9 instead of having 2 chargers on my bedside table.
The flat charger states it's fast charging; however, on my S8+, Note 8, and Note 9 it slow charged it, the fast wireless charging stand, however, did charge my devices with fast charging.
Onto the more concerning part of this review. My Gear S3 Frontier watch would overheat using the flat charger. My watch would throw an error in red to use the original charger - odd. In addition to the error, my watch would be so hot that the metal would burn my skin when putting the watch on after being "charged", which it took 4-5 hours to charge 85% up from 60%. Of course I thought it was my watch but when I used the charger that came with my watch it was fine. So in conclusion, the flat "fast" wireless charger over heats any Samsung device placed on it whereas the fast wireless charging stand worked great.
I purchase every S-line and a new Note every year, and this is an unacceptable 1st party charger.

I have a stand at work in my office that works perfect with the phone and the buds without barely any heat on either but I don't remember the brand and it doesn't say anything, just the voltage and "fast charge"

I do have the Galaxy buds and have not had any heating issues.
I hear you on the angled ones. I use the angled on my nightstand and flat on my computer stand. I'm waiting for the fast wireless 2.0 charger that stands up before I buy it.

Just to confirm, the one you have that works with both the phone and earbuds without any heating issues is this one?:

No, the flat one I use for the buds and my phone, and the stand for my phone only, for obvious reasons.
Flat:

I've been using anker ever since, no problems here.
