With the update to 6.0.1 imminent, I am hoping to see three things
1. Improved battery life - Hoping that HTC have performed further optimizations to an already decent battery life
2. Quick camera launch - Similar to the Moto X camera launch action of wringing your wrists crazily.
3. Copy paste pop up lag fixed - The changelog of Android 6.0.1 states that it is fixed.. hoping it really is!
What are the changes you are hoping for.. and did anyone receive the update already?
And new emos too.

Just had a software update UK , not 6.0.1.
Security update and various other stuff.
I think only the US unlocked is supposed to get 6.0.1

I think so,too. That is the Reason why i have installed the US unlocked Version.
I've downloaded the OTA and going to install soon.
Did copy it off the phone first.
Had to restore the /system partition from the "system_image" partition image I previously TWRP backed up as something modified /system again. OTA worked afterwards, but only through stock-recovery.
I made the mistake of restoring the original boot partition which encrypted my /data. Had to wipe it all again.
I downloaded it but was told my system is modified, and won't install. I have a super cid of 11111111, wonder if that is it? bootloader is unlocked to.
Need to figure out the default unlocked cid for the US A9.
EDIT: Looks like it is BS_US001
OTA coming through now.
Got my M9 and A9 both downloading and updating.

You need to restore an unmodified (no R/W etc) original /system partition.
It seems that the US unlocked variant got a 500MB update including 6.0.1 without further clarification b(battery, camera improvements) while the rest got the 300MB 1.27.x base

Hello Which CID i need? I have the CID 11111111 but it seems not to working? I get the Message that i have modified the System. But i have only installed the clean Stock Rom. No TWRP and not Root. I think the CID is the Reason. Or i have to set the Phone to S-On?
The WiFi driver seems to be broken on the 6.0.1 update for Unlocked US (doesn't turn on) even though the OTA patch verified fine.

Hi all! I bought an HTC one s (S4) and i have some problems.
1. Battery life is not so good. I charge the battery every day. Battery is full charge in ~3 hours. Is this normal?!
2. Internet signal is weak. sometimes it completely disappears and it does not connect until i get on airplane mode and return to normal. that happens outside the city, in city my signal varies continuously from 3g to h, is not stable even if i standing still. I`m from Romania and phone is from another country because here is only with s3 processor.
3. Consume a lot of net traffic and i don`t know why. in half an hour consumed ~8mb only with whats app (is true, fb was runing in background and i recived notifications but i don`t enter to see photos).
My old htc wildfire did not have these problems. This things are normal or i must return the phone?

Battery life can be improved installing a custom rom (viper one s for example) Don't know about the other problems.
For the radio you may get it fixed with the custom rom.
Only one person is able to respond? come on, just no one knows the answers?
PS: i don`t want a custom rom.
You dont want custom Rom or you don't want to unlock?
There are completely stock custom roms.
If you unlock, get root on stock Rom.
Install custom recovery.
Then try installing different radio.
Or, unlock, supercid, s-off, return cid to og. , then return to stock Rom (ruu) with unlocked/locked and s-off device. Custom Recovery, Root and flash radio.

I do not want to change anything in software. If i get root on my phone i lose warranty. :crying:
Have you tried running the correct RUU? Maybe a fresh start will clear up those issues.
What carrier? Are you running JB or ICS?

I don`t know what is RUU .
The phone is not blocked to a specific mobile service (vodafone). Android 4.1.1 JB.
I use an adapter for socket. affect in any way?
I think your pretty limited.
Have you checked what signalfrequencies your country using? And what the phone uses?
Where did you buy the phone? Vodafone branded?

I read on gsm arena that the one s use:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 2100
My country have:
2G: GSM 900 / gsm 1800
3G: UMTS 2100 / UMTS 900
I buy the phone from Quickmobile. z520e is not available in my country, so it`s imported from another country (idk from where).
I have time until Monday to think if i keep the phone or return it and get back to my old wildfire. This probably i will make

Check cid with app in store. Cid getter or something.
Just to check which country the device is from.
Here on xda there is a cid list from all countries. google it.
If its not a eu device ask the shop if the can provide it as replacement. Or buy somewhere else.
Does it start with a providerlogo or somthing when booting.

To check.
Go to setiings/energie. Unselect fastboot.
Now power down device. Wait till fully off.
Now push volume down + powerbutton for a few seconds till you see the bootloader screen. Check all the info there.
Now use volume down to select power down or reboot. Confirm with enter.

Did you see the hboot version.
Since your still running 1.11 radio.
There should be an ota/update available for you now. To get to 1.15 radio.
It might improve some things 4 you.
However getting s-off and supercid (for custom roms) might be problematic afterwards.

first I would state which phone you had, the AT&T versions or international one.
You just want to root it? Easy Mister First you need a custom recovery. Pls use Google to learn how to get it after that write me and i will give you more introductions

I have downloaded the TWRP 2.6.3.0 and the Clockwork-touch-6.0.3.6-m4 from this forum. But I don't know if these are the latest versions for the One Mini, or which one to choose. :/
Also, is it possible to have the Sense 5 Toolbox on the Stock ROM? If not is ARHD available for the Mini?

I got it to work in the meanwhile, but I still don't fully get the Volume2Wake. When the phone is charging it works every time, but when its on battery its as if the phone goes to sleep, so it can only be waken up by the power button. Some times if I press the vol button to wake, right after I lock the device it works flawlessly.

and i even couldn't found the supersu zip in my sdcard by twrp

Hi, since yesterday i have root my htc but i have few problems with this so i want to return to the offial firmware but I don't find ruu or stock, i have tried to install with this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2659109) but nothing after the installation has been finished the smartphone reboot normally and nothing has been installed.
I have a htc one mini buy in France naked (i not sure if it's the good work in english, in other word without provider) and it is unlocked and tempered.

The RUU you have is for AT&T and not really for your phone, and requires certain steps to flash. You should stick to one of the stock roms here in the dev section.
There is NO international RUU for your phone. You can't go back to your original OS.

what hboot you used?

I use the original hboot, so even if i can't come back to the official can you have solutions for my problems which are:
- when I turn off my phone and I charge it there is a green screen and when I push on the button of music level the recovery appears, so I thinks it's a bug with the cwm but can I can fix it?
-I don't have anymore the buzzer when I push on a key even if I have activated the option in parameters
- can I always do the offical upgrade?

You can NOT update anymore from within Android using OTA updates. What OS are you ruining? What is your HBOOT?

To sum up: i have lost my warrantly, my phone doesn't work and can't enjoy of the future upgrade, I love android.
But normally I can re lock my bootloarder?

use TWRP 2.7.0.8 listed here on XDA One mini forum. If you had read around on here you would of seen all this info. And all the big updates are here in the forum... If future updates come around i'm sure someone will port them if they are important enough.

my signals been pretty good. my phone does reboot itself sometimes once in a blue moon. for the most part it's pretty smooth. bluetooth and data works great.

I too have not received Oreo OTA, but I installed OREO the same!
If they can't keep up with the OTA, they should just be more flexible and post the Zips, so that we can install ourselves. Android 8.1 already rolling out and they haven't fully rolled out 8.0?? So frustrating ?

The .1 is just a security update and there is no-one saying that they won't skip 8.0 and go straight to 8.1.
Judging by HTC update history I reckon it will be February to March, probably the latter half of March this year before we see an update.
Ruu's are always released after ota, if at all. The reason is that it's easier to pull an ota than to pull a zip that people have copied and ota is guaranteed to install, pc hardwares differ and cause issues with installers etc for the exe version.
I'm on the U11 CID J15 and just received the oreo OTA and now downloading.
