7" Android tablet with 2Gb RAM and good screen - Android General

What is the best 7"-8" Chinese tablet now(end of 2015)?
I would like at least 2Gb of RAM good screen and good battery. Also I don't need GSM (I have mifi) so I think it can be $10 cheaper without it.
Will use it for games and web browsing.

I couldn't find info about this tablet, in searches I was offered the Teclast x98 pro. (I think it's not yet released)
Thank you for your advice. Also all these device are dual boot with windows, is this the new trend?

[Q] Which chinese tablet? Quad-core, HD/retina, 2GB RAM, BT

I'll be shortly in China very soon and would like to grab a "deal-breaker" tablet. Please help me out, I have no clue which brand is popular enough to be supported at XDA and which model is expected to have less problems. I'm sure there are good ones, better build quality, that play nicely, don't crash, don't have HW/SW issues, etc. Some popular model!
I'd like:
- Quad-core A9 Rock 3188 or Exynos 4412 CPU,
- 10,1" or 9,7" HD/retina resolution 1920x1200 or 2048x1536
- 2GB RAM
- Bluetooth
- HW volume buttons
- sleek/thin design
- better battery (>7,500 mAh)
- smaller bezel if possible
- black or silver if possible
- USB charging as well, if possible
- case with a BT (full-size) keyboard that fits
Wishful thinking:
- XDA support (like ROMs, problems solving, tweaks, maybe even running Ubuntu on it)
- manufacturer's support in FW updates
Both formats are ok:
a) iPad format (4:3), retina (2048x1536): e.g. Visture V79HD, Cube U9GT5/U9GTV, Yuandao Vido N90 FHD, Pipo M6, Hyundai Play X900 , Freelander PD800, Ainol Novo9, Aoson M33
b) Nexus format (16:10), HD (1920x1200): e.g. Ramos W30HD (Samsung SoC), Cube U30GT2 (ugly), Huawei MediaPad 10 FHD (expensive)
- What model of the above would you recommend?
- Pipo M6 is a newcomer, just introduced!
- I like Visture V79HD the most (with BT keyboard), but the are no reviews on the net, no XDA topics, empty forum on Visture website. Scroll down for lots of pics:
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/2048...C-Visture-V97-HD-Rockchip-Quad/914676697.html
- Popular Pipo M9 is nice, but low-res.
Please be kind and suggest a model or two or three that fits! Thanks a lot!
The Samsung note 10.1 is a great tablet and has a thread on xda. Also the nexus 10 is good to. I think they both have 2 gb of ram but I could be wrong. The note has tons of case options. Not sure about the nexus. Either one is a good choice.
Press thanks if I've helped you!

Freelander PD800 HD
I have no experience with it from a software standpoint, but in my opinion, just by looking at specs and what would probably get you the most stability/bang for your buck would be the upcoming Freelander PD800 HD. The HD version specifically. It's going to have an Exynos 5250 (the same SoC as in the Nexus 10) so the weird choppiness and lag spikes and battery issues the Rockchip/Allwinner chips have is going to be avoided. It also has a retina display as per the original Freelander PD800. You can go check it out on Geekbuying. Kind of want one myself.
My two cent's
Pipo M6.
Got mine a little more than a week ago and am very happy with it.

I got Pipo M8 Pro which works like a charm, not bulky & more stylish than M6. I played with both but finally choose M8 pro. It does not have a Retina display but I don't mind even though I have Full HD display on my smartphone. I'm using ROM (FW) with SDK 2.0 upgrade for RK3188. Smooth & nice.
However, I also think M6 is a very good deal, especially after releasing SDK upgrade.

I really want to buy one of these. But I can't afford the $500+ price tag. I tried to buy one from xiaomi.com but after signing up, i couldn't verify my phone number to complete an order (I assume only China phone numbers work for verification). :what:
I wish I knew someone who lives in China and could buy one at the local price (<$400) for me and ship it to me in the U.S.
I guesses I'll have to settle for an over-priced MI2S instead.

Where did you buy from? I can only see a 16gb version from the xiaomi website? I need this phone!
I've seen a lot of people complaining that they received fake phones form aliexpress. just do a quick search and you'll probably see them.
Xiaomi itself doesn't sell or ship the phone out of china, but there's some online stores that sell it and ship it worldwide.
I've seen people recommending ibuygou.com and they have some awesome prices. When it's available again I'll probably buy it.
If anyone that has bought it could talk a bit about it and where/how you bought it I would be very thankful.

Finally i found a person to ask about p90hd.
Is it a 24bit color display?
How long battery is staying?
Is it kitkat preloaded?
Can you share a photo of the product if possible?
Because most images available on the net are bad quality renders...
Did you test MHL(if exist)/HDMI/Miracast features? Sorry i know thats too much to ask.

I believe it is 24 bit. Will have to check.
I was playing some racing games like Asphalt 8 yesterday for about 2 hours and used about half of juice.
Yes KitKat is there.
I left my tablet at home so I'll try to post some screenshots later but believe me it looks exactly like on official Teclast pictures
HDMI works flawlessly. I have a set up that uses splitter connected to my sound system which then connects to my TV and it worked without a problem.
WIDI/Miracast will have to wait until I get my Netgear PTV3000 I ordered yesterday.
Hope that helps.

I want a tablet

HI all, how's everyone? not been back for some time,
I need some help from you guys if possible.
I want a tablet, my partner has an ipad mini, I like it, long battery life, clear and cool to the touch, (ie don't get too warm on long usage)
Can anyone recommend me something?
I have made my own (very brief short list)
Lenovo Yoga
Xiaomi Mipad,
Pipo P8
Fire 7.7
My criteria is this,
7.9-8.9 inch screen
4:3 format.
stable Os,
ideally full android, so not sure if the fire can be rooted.
quad core, and can hold its own when running any intense apps.
won't get too hot when on long usage.
long battery life,
if possible 2Gb ram,
if no MMC expansion then need at least 32Gb
no more than £200, and as per my list, will look into oversea models
I do like the nexus 9, but out of my budget any other suggestions.

Mipad best bang for buck, infact, the price and the specs you get are bloody brilliant! Really really great value, I don't know how Xiaomi get away with it
Its about £230 (some places £180 but + import tax could be more, I say use EBay because you have buyer protection etc) I'm looking into buying the Mipad myself, (I currently have an LG G Pad, heavily mod'd)
The only downside (which is to be expected) is the OS on the Mipad MIUI (on Xiaomi phones Mi2 Mi3 Mi4 its great, but on thus Mipad its half finished, buggy etc.)
But hey I enjoy a challenge

Quad core, Intel, full HD, the casing around the tablet isn't pretty but its great specs for the price.

Not all quad core is good.this machine uses MTK8382 which is a very slow quad core machine.
And It's pretty Energy Hungry,It only could go on up to 10-12Hr.
Also RK3188?No please.A Allwinner A31 could win the RK3188...
2,I would not like to suggest the lenovo one is the warranty service. If your machine have something and you take it to the service centre, the day it fixed you will get "another machine".

The currently is a sale for Chuwi Hi10. I actually ordered it yesterday and will post my review when I get it (but this will take some time). I posted about it int he Windows 10 sub-forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-10/general/chuwi-hi10-170-black-friday-t3257969
The tablet has some really nice specs and, for a few extra $$, you can get a keyboard for it as well. That thread contains (my) affiliate link, but you have a direct link to the product as well.
thanks, the Chuwi Hi10 looks interesting. last i checked there was a lot of bad reviews for the teclast pro on gearbest, but i dont find them now.
