Very nice can u make Harman kardon or Beats work on A9 ?
What means "Edit for ACC"?
Thank you.
兄弟 ! Thank is work for me . :good:
Can anyone tell me which File i have to edit? Thank you.
Edit: Have found the File. It is under System/customize /ACC/default.xml
It is working. But if it is really a better Sound i can not say. Maybe. Maybe not.
Good find.:good:
I've got it working (somewhat) on mine. I can select Music or Theater mode when audio is playing out of the internal speaker, but I don't hear any difference when I switch between the modes.
I suspect that it's not actually doing any processing on the audio stream.
Yeah if it would've made a real improvement, HTC would be very boneheaded to not include the option out of the box

Does it make the speaker louder?
If not did you try boost it up with V4A?
Well it seems that nothin' change.. and V4A doesn't work at all.. i would love to get choice between beats, harman and boomsound like S-rom

V4A need root + SELinux set to permissive (you can do it by app or custom kernel)
I already try this but nothing work

I don't have the A9 yet, I have to sell my G4 1st but there is surely a way to make V4A work if you use SElinux permissive.
A custom kernel should enable it
So in the end this mod changes something in sound or it's only activating the boomsound speaker in terms of text only?

V4A sucks on A9!
V4A on HTC A9 is terrible!!! Don't even try to make it work on your A9. It makes my A9 sounds like a radio. ??
I get it via a custom arise and I really hate it. I wish I had backup my ROM if I am not a dumb flasher at that time. Back then I thought I could reverse flashing. But gratefully I use es file explorer to successfully delete it though I couldn't completely delete all of the arise's function.
I deleted the line but no change i have root, s-off

Hello, I am quite happy with my Note PRO 12.2 so far. The main problem is the sound quality. Is there a way to improve the quality perhaps through software?
Why Samsung does not move the speakers of their tablets to the front like the ones on the MacBook Pro Retina Display?

I installed ViPER 4Android. Very happy with the results. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223
It seems that it requires one to root the device. Is there a solution without rooting?
Have you tried using the equalizer?

Is it a software or hardware?
The thing I hate about most equalizers on Android is that once enabled maximum volume is decreased although the shape of the sound does change. Sometimes I just want more volume. .. for that a custom kernel and dsp manager are needed.

Software. I believe the stock one is MusicFX, and most serious music players have their own. Personally I use N7player.

Firstly, disable Adapt Sound in the application manager. It evens out the volume of all audio.
I've also disabled musicFX.
Some music app equalizers have a pre Amp increaser which boosts or decreases the volume to a level of your choice. Screenshot included.

That's N7 player, by the way. It has one of the more extensive equalisers I've come across. (those are the settings on my Note 3 but that's beside the point).

Hi all, just want to share, it's DspManager with new options and new audio value for Kitkat/CM11 based rom . This mod can boost system sound (speaker and headset) to make more powerfull.
Step: just install with cwm/twrp recovery
For headset, try new options at Equalizer preset
For higher ringtones ( all speaker sound ), in xLoud speaker:
- X-Bass, enabled + slight
- Equalizer, enabled + Beats Virtualizer
Happy enjoy new sounds
Use Apollo music player for alternative

You should try extremebeats and Viper4android .
your work is ages behind them.
Works with Poweramp?
EDIT: Works fine with S5
suwun pakdhe
using another equalizer may conflict with this mod?

What you are not comprehending is that this app AND v4a are based on the same source code of DSP manager which is open source. Both the op and viper520 actually added something to the code to make the apps stand out. At the end of the day BOTH apps are copies of DSP Manager and before you go on saying an app is copying another know the facts first.
FYI the changelog of viper4android does mention that the app is based on some of the DSP Manager source code.

I am happy to provide the info. The op is pretty much the only other person to add to the source code.

From my personal experience, the volume is just generally low on stock and drivers like Viper give a very marginal gain at best, and are likely to result in reduced quality audio since the speaker isn't that good. Its one of the few points of this phone I dislike. I also found that Viper is buggy and doesn't always work but you're welcome to try it
Viper4Android is the best sound mod, You should give it a try. It's not only the gain but the quality.

This is the official app: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223
If You have any issue try the LolliViper version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/themes-apps/discussion-viper4android-t2543796
For better perfomance You have to make it a system app. Using a root file manager like Root Explorer move the app folder located in data/app to system/priv-app.

i love my mate 8 its really a good device but i have only one issue with it, its the low speaker volume i noticed this since the first day i got it (speaking from an ex. samsung note 5 user) i can surely say that the note 5 speaker is much louder and its so strange how big the difference is so i was thinking that maybe i have a defective mate 8?
Hi people, this it's my first contribute for the poco community. I really miss Arise4Android but I don't want rooting my F1 (for now), whatever, searching for the better equalizer without root I found this app on a Moto G thread (¯\_(ツ)_/¯) and works well!!
FOCUS, the buttons don't got any animation, your only guide to know if it's running it's your ears (and the notification bar icon). I know, it's not the better option for increase the audio quality, but without root it's complicated found better options.
Tested on stable pie with my edifier oxygen earphones. Flat preset for me it's the best. Recommended lock it on recents and deactivate the battery saver for stay in background.

Thanks for the app, but this app just controls the built-in equalizer that you can easily adjust from "headphones & audio effects“ settings (image no.2) or from settings of any audio player such as Sony music (image no.1) or mi music player (image no.3).

Mmmm, i'm not sure for what, but in my poco the stock equalizer ever stay deadctive, Bluetooth or wired earphones, can't set anything and it's for that I'm looking every option as exist. Can be because I set Spain in region?
I also have the same problem with my POCOPHONE F1.
I'm in UK. Tried so many things to get a better equalized sound, but still no joy!
Grateful for any advice on how to get a better sound like with my previous old HTC ONE X with BEATS sound which gave a much superior sound than the POCO!

If you want better audio quality without root with Bluetooth earphones this it's the best option, if want equalizer with cable you can choose the Miui Equalizer, but if you want more volume download Goodev volume amplifier from Playstore.
Just got myself one of these lovely devices and so far I'm enjoying it!
One thing I'd like to "fix" though - I'd like to get either ViPER or Dolby working on this as it's the sound I'm used to from the Samsung side of things.
Has anyone managed it?
Thanks!

Thanks - that's very useful to know!
I did try this and whilst it does appear to work (no errors, no warnings, JamesDSP manager starts, etc) I didn't notice any difference in the actual audio output when changing options. Have you? Maybe I'm just going deaf!

It's a common issue with Audio mods and unpatched kernel/system, a simple fix is just to force stop and restart the Jdsp manager, make sure nothing is playing while you're doing this
Confirmed that latest Viper4Android works for me. On global WW .188 rom rooted.
Edit: After testing for sometime the inbuilt audiowizard sound effect equalizer will not work eventhough you can move the sliders and eq.
Noticed a wierd bug if you force close v4a then you will lose control of the app and you would not be able to enable or disable effects. So you will be having the last set audio effect of v4a. For that you need to do a Fast reboot or a full Reboot then a short enable and disable legacy and compatibility mode to get it working back.
