TWRP On Moto G Turbo Editon Xda Post >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/orig-development/twrp-twrp-moto-g-turbo-t3295098/
There is another guide to root Moto G turbo based on that Xda post.
How To Install TWRP Recovery & Root Moto G Turbo Edition 2015 > http://rootmygalaxy.net/install-twrp-recovery-root-moto-g-turbo-edition-2015/
According to the person who posted it on Xda, TWRP is not tested yet.

Restore your twrp backup, then reboot into system don't install supersu then after reboot again enter twrp then flash supersu. I wipe dalwik and cache after flash supersu, then reboot into system. DON'T ALLOW TWRP TO INSTALL SUPERSU .

Hi All, I baught this device, but worried for it's development. more than one month left, but there is no development for this device, what you all think? will this device be popular? will someone do good development for this?

It's the same :/ Stuck in bootloader warning logo
EDIT: Thanks, after a clean install of superSU 2.62-3 it works But now when I tried to enter TWRP recovery it show me a "no command" logo

Anyone able to root TE?

Yes its working.
Twrp not working properly.
Main thing you need to do create twrp backup and copy its to your laptop after that try wipe option.

That means,steps will be
1. Unlock Bootloader
2. Install TWRP
3. BACK UP TWRP
3. WIPE CACHE
4. Flash supersu
That's it?
And one more question
after unlocking ,all user data will be deleted?

Yes unlocking bootloader will wipe all data.
in twrp wipe option not working well.
Wipe will wipe all data..
follow these step...
1 backup your storage data on your laptop.
2 unlock bootloader
3 then flash twrp
4 then make stock rom backup via twrp
5 copy twrp backup on laptop
6 then try supersu file.

[Q] Help with root.

Hey, so i want to root my Moto G XT1033 16GB dual SIM running android 5.0.2.
I've bricked a smarthone before while trying to root it, so i want some help to root my phone the safest way possible. My warranty has already expired.
Obs: my phone is from brazil, i'm not sure if that changes anything.
I've attatched a screenshot if any other info is needed.
If you have a custom recovery installed you can flash it from there. Go here and grab SuperSU and follow the instructions.

SystemLess Root for Marshmallow Android 6.0 Stock Rom(unrooted and locked bootloader)

The official update of the MOTO G3 2015 is available over the OTA.
So , the next question is that the unlocking bootloader and rooting process still the same or if anyone else has any problem with the process.
Also , there has been a lot of buzz about the SystemLess Root but no proper thread for MOTO g3 is available.
So , if someone can guide me through the entire process of SystemLess Root
And if the SystemLess Root works properly with marshmallow update.
I am on MOTO G3 2015 Marshmallow Android 6.0 (Indian OTA update)
System Version : 24.11.25.osprey_retasia_ds_2gb.retasia.en.o3.retin
The very first thing you have to do is to unlock your bootloader if you want root.
It's not possible for Moto G3 I think..

Agree. And the procedures need to fill all the gaps of info that currently exist. For example, after unlocking bootloader, it would have been helpful to know that you need to reboot and let the system rebuild itself (which takes several minutes) before moving on to anything else such booting/flashing TWRP & rooting.

Can Anyone Provide me twrp recovery and systemless supersu for moto g3 marshmallow?
Has anyone had success installing superSu 2.76 systemless? I ask for this because I'm trying to install unoficial systemless xposed and it will only install systemless if supersu 2.76 is also flashed systemless (not updated via supersu app)
I managed, besides 2.62 beta, to get systemless root with CF-autoroot (2.74)

never, Never, NEVER EVER use a one-click root on the Moto G 3rd gen, it can and will brick it... we have seen tons of examples of it happening on Marshmallow. The rooting process has been refined and simplified and works on all stock Marshmallow ROMs...
1) Unlock bootloader
2) Boot TWRP and do a full backup and store it in a safe place (Seriously, do this... When you need it you will thank me)
2a) Flash TWRP (optional, but recommended)
3) Start TWRP by either fastboot or on the phone if you flashed it
4) Go to Advanced - Terminal
5) Enter `echo SYSTEMLESS=true>>/data/.supersu` press Enter and exit back to home
6) Flash latest stable or beta SuperSU zip
7) Reboot and enjoy root!

I never do auto rooting... I always follow the guides for any phone.... I was just enquiring of him if he had done it that way ????
As to your 2nd point I had done a TWRP of my stock rom for the merlin,,, and then like a dumbass i had kept it on my sd card (64gb ) which suddenly decided to die on me.... so i lost that...
Anyway,, when i try to put back my MOTO GTE to stock, i will flash the firmware and then try the systemless root,,, have never done that before..
thanks for the stepby step guide..
cheers

[TWRP][merlin] TWRP for Moto G Turbo

This is my version of TWRP built for the 2015 Moto G Turbo. I don't have the device and haven't tested it myself, but it has been reported to work fine. Using it is a try at your own risk procedure. Your bootloader must be unlocked to use this recovery. Fastboot mode is used to flash or boot this recovery. To enter fastboot mode, turn off your device, hold PWR and VolDn for 3 seconds, then let go.
Differences between upstream TWRP and my fork:
My original green theme
No SuperSU
No TWRP app
No HTC Dumlock cruft
Updated pigz compressor (slightly faster and more tolerant of corruption)
To temporarily boot this recovery:
Code:
fastboot boot twrp.img
To permanently flash it:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
The download is up on the downloads tab.

Initial Build
I've posted the first ever TWRP build for merlin. I don't have the device, so I don't know if it works. I do expect it to work though. You should be able to flash it permanently and not be forced to "fastboot boot" it as was the case with the osprey TWRP, since I am using a suitable kernel. Please let me know if this TWRP works for you.
If you are feeling adventurous and are running the Marshmallow stock ROM, I encourage you to try my experimental brand new "Squid Kernel r14" for merlin. First make a backup of your current setup, then you can flash the merlin zip from the kernel thread.
Nice work!

Moto G 2015 twrp recovery and motorola offcial update to android 6 Marshmallow

Hi !
(sorry for my english)
I have a big problem witch the new OTA update and my moto g 2015.
Last month i have root my moto G and to do this i have install TWRP recovery.
This morning i see that my phone have a new update ! cool !
So y answer yes to this update and when my phone reboot it's stop into twrp and don't install the new update.
And when y boot into system, after 2 minutes my phone reboot into twrp recovery.
So how can i install this update while twrp is install ?
Tanks for the help
You can't. You have to revert to stock recovery to do that. I'm also looking for a safe way to revert back to stock recovery.
Enviado do meu MotoG3 através de Tapatalk
Sorry but people need to inform a little bit before proceed t new procedure for them or the risk for a brics or bootloop is always there, it has been repeated several times that for Apply OTA you need the recovery STOCK... The other option is to wait that someone upload a TWRP BACKUP for your exact model.
So yes now you need to flash your 5.1.1 oficial rom and without root and without change the recovery try to proceed with the OTA
Enviado desde mi MotoG3 mediante Tapatalk
You must go into SuperSU and do a full unroot, then get the recovery.img file for your exact version/variant and "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img", and then assuming you haven't changed anything in /system that the upgrade script checks, the OTA can be downloaded and applied.
If this doesn't work, you will need to restore your backup you made with TWRP before changing anything (you did this, right?) or do a complete factory image reflash.

It will wipe system partition (all system apps and files). You can wipe system if you want to install new rom but there is no need for that. It's not recommended. Factory reset from TWRP is enough if you want to install new rom.

I can make a script for ADB, establishing kitkat bootloader and the bumped kernel and recovery to the stock 5.0.2 firmware. will need only root.

Why? You can flash recovery on 10f firmware.
Why you need bumped 10f kernel?
On 10f bootloader you can use any kernel/recovery.
