8 : after install completes reboot your device
note :
some devices have limited space under /system and the supersu app wont install
if you don't see the supersu app on your device attempt to install it from the playstore
more than likely the su binary installed correctly but there want enough room on the device for the app.
This recovery uses the CWM Recovery @vampirefo built for the Dell Venue 8 3830 NoModem original thread : Dell Venue 8, CWM, unsecure boot/recovery
You know it's annoying to find this on so many other forums. with other people taking credit for it. sad face : (

Just my luck lol. Had a feeling I would end up bricked for some reason, maybe I jinxed myself.
Anyways... everything was going ok, I selected trigger 3 to try first, reboots to droidboot (with "waiting for fastboot command") then I select recovery and get android dude laying down with a red exclamation point coming out his belly and it just said "no command" now I am soft bricked, only getting the USB symbal with the white line under it. Please help!

recovery.fstab may or may not need to be edited for some devices especially if the device doesn't use by label partitioning. What device do you have?

Hi, SDC
I know this has been ask before, I searched and couldn't find the answer though, I would like to get the source code for the launchers , I use the Linux version of this method, cause I don't have windows, and would like to convert the recovery.launcher triggers and so forth into a shell script rather that use binary file.
If you have a shell script already can you post it if not, can you post or give me a link to your binary files source code?

I'm going to post the source after I finish getting the thread put together I just wanted to get it up yesterday.
As for doing it through shell scripts the reason its binary is because if /system is mounted or any prebuilt binary has a dependency on a shared library it makes it extremely difficult some times impossible to stop services and unmount /system and such.
But I hope to have everything finish by the end of the day.

You use Linux or windows? If Linux, you may need to use my fastboot binary, anyway if using Linux while in fastboot mode use terminal type lsusb.
Do you see your device listed?

Root!
Thank you for this!
I successfully rooted my V8 3830 KK4.4 V1.33 no modem with T3 - in about 4 mins. tops.
FYI:
I connected and launched the launcher from the IntellAndroid-FBRL folder. Typed ACCEPT and got the green screen. Chose T3. The tablet rebooted into fastboot and files where loaded, But then fastboot turned red and said "device unauthorized" when CWM popped onto my tablet. (maybe it's suppose to do that, DK) and yes, US debugging was on, I flashed the SU zip, rebooted, all is well. SU updated and working fine. I was able to remove all the crapwear.
thank you SDC!
Quick question - Do any of the intel devices have unlocked bootloader?? Thought I read somewhere somebody was able to install a factory 4.3 or 4.2 on a Dell venue and the bootloader unlocked?
Hi all
Thanks for the job done on this forum.
I have a 2016 honda HRV with android radio locked
I would like to root it to install my own apk (not possible for the moment) they use an encrypted HAP as apk and that' the only installation possible (from Hondaappcenter)
the unit ru android 4.0.4
the unit have a chipset Nvidia Tegra T30AGS-Q-A3
more info and pictures on this thread http :// forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/heard-2016-honda-pilot-android-based-t3141346/page9
what i could do for the moment :
Open the unit
discover an hidden usb port
connect to pc via that port
install adb + android studio (sdk)
I need to install specific driver with this http :// forum.xda-developers.com /showthread.php?t=1119507
Active USB debug mode (don't stay crossed on each reboot you have to activeted again)
Now i can connect with adb + pc
As you can not use an apk, i try to root it (via windows 7 32 bits) via SRS one click 5.1 But no luck (failed)
retry with oneclick Android one toolkit 1.2.1 but stuck on loading recovery

Hi Fred,
The purpose of XDA Assist is to help newbies navigate the site.
It looks like you found a good thread for support here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/heard-2016-honda-pilot-android-based-t3141346/page9
For discussion about android head units you can also check out this section: Android auto.

It Definitely made a mistake by buying this tablet and i will detail my problems in detail
When i first bought this tablet, it went OK and two many Chinese apps were installed and uninstalled.
My problem started after almost 1 week of usage when my tablet started showing error for my memory card SAFE TO REMOVE android. i tried inserting multiple memory cards but no use. Windows partition never detected memory card till date.
As i bought from gearbest i raised dispute, after that they offered me two options.
First was that i have to send this tablet to China and bear shipping cost of around 25-30 USD (approx rate from India) also after receiving item they will give me full refund, i declined to bear shipping as God knows they will ever say that they have received tablet back or not.
Second they offered me partial refund, initially which started from 30 USD, finally i agreed for 50 USD dollar refund for purchase of 91 USD. guess windows partition was working flawlessly expect for memory card issue.
(NOW THE TECHNICAL PART FOR WHICH I NEEDED URGENT HELP)
After receiving refund i started going through various sites to check how to fix this issue(worse Mistake i believe)
i rooted my tabled( android) with tool .by spzjulien. tablet got rooted but now it is almost not working, touching is not responding, screen is also upside down, almost unable to do anything on android part.
After that i downloaded intel phone flash tool 5.3.4 as it was said for teclast website also i downloaded new android stock rom file Android 5.1 v1.06 for my tablet serial number H5C5. strickly followed procedure but i am facing error as sharing log file below and image of tablet and screenshot of intel phone flash tool i will send you in messages as i am unable to post here.
First i installed iSocUSB-Driver-Setup-1.2.0.exe, then IntelAndroidDrvSetup1.5.0.exe and in last PhoneFlashTool_5.3.2.0_win32.exe.
Then i opened "Phone Flash Tool" , clicked “Browser”button, in pop-up window and loaded the android burning file, then changed “Configuration” content as “update”, enabled development mode and usb debugging, then i connected tablet, it gets detected and then i clicked Start to Flash, tablet gets restart and almost after 4%, it gives me error as log code shared. fastboot error. i dont know how to fix fastboot error.
Kindly please help

Hi everybody,
Since a few years, I came here for several problems, and I always found the answers without ever needing to sign up. Many thanks for that !
But this time, I can't do otherwise.
I recovered a tablet, a Danew Dslide 904, with Android 4.2.
There is not much information on web, no drivers, no roms. (Even on the manufacturer's catalog, Thanks Danew.)
I would like to put CyanogenMod on this tablet. (or any real OS... please. just a real OS.)
So, my first problem was not having the drivers.
I use Windows 8.1 and Linux (Ubuntu, Mint ...).
On Linux Ubuntu, I modified the "android-51.rules" file and added :
"SUBSYSTEM ==" usb ", ATTRS {idVendor} ==" 1f3a ", MODE =" 0666 ", OWNER =" XXXX "
Since, the command "adb devices" on my shell shows me my tablet.
But, when I run the "fastboot devices", my tablet does not appear in the list. When I run any command for unlock ("fastboot oem unlock", with or without the option "-i 0x1f3a"), it gives me a "FAILED".
Something else, when I reboot Bootloader (Either by "fastboot -i 0x1f3a reboot" (wow, it works... ) or TWRP Manager, my tablet freezes on the Danew Logo, and a reset is required.
With great difficulty, I installed "Root Checker" (and Kingo Root, SuperSu, TWRP...). In "Bootloader", I have a "Unknown".
However, Root Checker reassures me by indicating "Manufacturer : Danew" and Model "Dslide 904"... (i began to doubt it)
I tried to contact the support Danew four times, without answer. By despair, I contacted them on their Facebook page. but nothing. (a wonderfull page, with almost no product, but many soccer article... wah...)
"French Brand" eh... hum...seriously, how to be taken seriously with brands like you Danew...
So, what can I do to use this tablet? by installing the "frisbee" app or "Boomerang"?
Don't hesitate to ask me if you need additional informations.
Hi and welcome to XDA , finally !
So , what exactly is your question ?
So, what can I do to use this tablet? by installing the "frisbee" app or "Boomerang"?

This one above ?
Well the answer is kinda painful , you know ... firstly , your tablet comes with only 1gb RAM which will make the apps to perform quite bad or not to perform at all
Secondly , Cyanogen has vanished , dead , dissolved , we have LineageOS now , kinda same but re-written like and your device isn`t listed on their device supported list
Porting a lineageos rom base to your device will be very difficult , a developer needs device sources , a custom recovery and due to hardware`s limitations , almost impossible
If you would like to try yourself I can find some useful links for you here on xda but personally I would say , leave the tablet as it is , sorry
Cheers !
Hello Guys!
Seems a huge discussion about android platform but i cannot see my related issue. i am presenting a clear note about all of my issue.
My phone details is
MTK 6737
Name: Symphony
Model: R100
RAM: 3GB
First i have flash my phone using SP Flash tools (format all+download). after that IMEI number not showing and not found anywhere. i have checked huge tutorial, youtube video, forum thread etc a lot but not correct solution. everybody says i must have ROOT ACCESS in order to adjust my IMEI number again.
I got two problem
1. Nvram error (wifi issue)
2. Invalid imei issue
I spend over 14 hours like a whole days with computer & internet to find correct solution. i have downloaded huge driver like ADB driver, CDC driver, MTK USB driver, SN Writer tools AND many more.
Maximum people says "MTK Engineer Mode" then i had opened that, unfortunately, CDC information not available in menu list. more than 10 root app used to get ROOT access but all are failed. i have followed more than 50 tutorial to modify scatter.txt file with navram.bin etc but failed.
Now, i am looking for help from expertise who know about this matter.
Thank you very much.
