Hi i currently have Moto XT 1092 retail version and i had got an Android update 6.0 few weeks back. I also had downloaded es flie explorer and accidently i had pulled up a moto app and then i rebooted the system into bootloader. There i deleted the cache and did a factory reset. After the whole process my phone was stuck in the boot lap withe android robot erasing something. I struggled for 2 days to fix it but nothing worked. Here are the steps which helped me overcome this problem and can help others as well.
1. Pls unlock your bootloader if its locked else not flashing of stock will work and it will show pre validation failed, invalid system image or pib signature error.
2. Download stock firmware from filefactory for your device. Mine was 5.1 XT 1092 XML file.
3. Reboot the phone in bootloader and use the fastboot flash method to flash syatem image.
4. The sequence is faatboot OEM lock begin and then rest commands and then end command fastboot OEM lock.
5. Wait for phone to reboot.
6. Automatically after the restart once yu connected the phone will ask for a new system update which is 6.0.
7. The rest is smooth and you will be good to go.
Let me know if you face any problem.
Thx
Gautam

There is only 1 main point that I wanted to share with others....
DO NOT EVER EVER TRY TO FLASH THE BOOTLOADER OF ANY ROM OTHER THAN 5.0/5.0.1 OR LATER VERSIONS AFTER YOU HAVE UPGRADED TO LOLLIPOP!!.
Let me tell you first what happen if you do so........
1.) 95% Probability of Permanent Hardbrick Device
2.)Intense Graphical Glitches[These can be get rid off by flashing cm12 or any Android OS 5.0/5.0+ since it has upgraded bootloader]
3.)You May NEVER ever recover your device again.
How will you recognize you are about to flash Bootloader??
It usually has a name "motoboot.img"
What if the name is different?!
Let this time the name is abcdefg.img
The guide you may be following will ask you to perform a command line query on fastboot by the syntax-
"fastboot flash motoboot "abcdefg.img"
Pay attention it still has motoboot in command line.
Now why this happens??
I believe that with the release of Android 5.0 aka Lollipop, the Bootloader of ROM has been upgraded and modified to work with ART system efficiently.
So if you flash the older Bootloader over an upgraded one, you are gonna regret your move completely.
What is Permanent Hardbrick?!
This is a state of your phone which cannot be recovered either easily or permanently. Your device becomes completely useless. You will only see a black screen. Neither you will access Fastboot Mode nor Recovery. Your Phone will become a showcase or in other words a real BRICK.
An Advice- If you are going to flash a zip via a custom recovery like TWRP/CWM/PHILZ. First do check it by opening that it should not have the bootloader image file. If it has, make sure you delete it and then try flashing it.
Now I will share my experience-
How I Downgraded successfully
1.) I Installed a custom recovery via fastboot. [TWRP 2.7.1][2.8.1 WILL DO IT TOO]
2.)Wipe Data/cache/Dalvik Cache/etc,..The normal procedure.
3.)Copied the ZIP file of Moto G Revolution G XT1033 4.4.2 Brazil Firmware to my pendrive.
4.)Make sure your pendrive is in FAT32 Format. if not do a format in FAT32.
5.)Connected via OTG Cable to my phone in recovery mode to TWRP Recovery.
6.)Mount OTG Storage in Mount Option.
7.)Chosen my zip file under flash option and flashed it successfully.
Cons: A water like wave keeps coming from the top of the screen to bottom while booting up but goes off as soon as you turn your screen off for the 1st time. then its all normal again.

Guys this is my 1st post here that is well laid. Hope you thank me if this helped you.
There's a tool called Motoflasher. It can do a blank-flash your corrupted bootloader with the latest one. But until today it only support 4.3, 4.4.2, 4.4.4. And for 5.0 will be coming soon. Motoflasher is a tool to revive your-corrupted-bootloader-device after do an accidental downgrade. :fingers-crossed:
Yes, but I want to know, what would happen, when you delete the bootloader. Will it still be under device manager. So will it get detected by windows?
Why would someone do that?!

Delete the actual bootloader from the phone?! I would not recommend you to do that. Coz bootloader is the final option for a device's recovery.
Hey,
I'm new to all of this so I really don't know what I'm doing wrong.
I got the normal Moto G running on 4.4.4, unlocked bootloader and rooted.
I've read that if no system files are changed I can just normally update the phone. So I flashed stock recovery (I had CWM before) using MotoTool AiO. But when I want to enter recovery it just gives me the "No Command." screen.
Only other thing I have different is, that I deleted some preinstalled Google and Motorola apps.
When I try to update the phone it just reboots after about 10 seconds telling me the update failed. (I always have to download the update again.)
I hope you guys can help me get to 5.0.2.
Thanks
You need certain Motorola Apps on your phone before the OTA update will work. Also, it's best to be unrooted.
Is there a way to restore the Motorola Apps? With the app i deleted them I can't, because I deleted them completely. (I didn't thought I would need them again.)
I'm not sure if you can find the proper APKs.
It may be easier to just flash back to stock and take the OTA update.
Okay, so I tried to get back a custom recovery so I can flash 4.4.4, but the problem is I still only get the no command screen when entering the recovery.
First I tried flashing CWM with the MotoTool AiO, but I still couldn't enter recovery, so I tried Philz Recovery, but I got the same problem there.
How the hell can I get a recovery, so I can flash 4.4.4?
You need to flash a completely stock ROM, including recovery.
You should download the stock 4.4.4 ROM for your phone and manually flash each partition using fastboot or mfasboot commands.
I tried it with help of this thread.
But it always says i can't find the command mfastboot and with the command fastboot it tells me it can't find the files and when I'm entering the folder it says it can't find the command. And even if I move the extracted files to the same folder (Where the fastboot.exe is) it tells me the files can't be found...
Like I said I'm new to all of this and little more detailed help would be appreciated
PS:
I still got the same .zip with the stock 4.4.4 I used to flash the first time (After that I deleted the system apps)
And in this .zip is an app folder with all the apks, so is there a fast way to just reinstall all of them?
Enable USB debugging and use the Moto AIO tool's Utilities tab to flash APKs to your phone.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2635706
In MotoTool when I'm in fastboot it tells me device not found (Minimal ADB and Fastboot can find my device, and yestery MotoTool could find it, too. USB-Debugging is active.) and when the phone is normally stared in the cmd window it tells me [failed] ... (Can't read the rest, because the window closes instantly), but MotoTool says the installation worked
You need to be booted into ROM in order to use the APK installer.
When installing an APK, you may be prompted on the phone screen to allow your computer to have access to the phone.
Okay I managed to flash 4.4.4 and then I could update to 5.0.2, thanks for the help.
That's great. Glad I could be of some help.
Hello everyone. I just received the 5.0 update, and I was so excited to update it, and when my phone started rebooting to get to the upgrade process; it opened the TWRP menu. And from there I couldn't install the update. (Yes, I did press update device, and it restarted like it went to update, but instead it just opened TWRP menu.
How can I reset my Moto G XT1032 GB to the complete stock, without boot loader, twrp and superuser? (My sister have the same MOTO G model, and her's isn't rooted, therefore the update went smooth) I have a Mac by the way.
Thanks a lot, I hope I can solve this annoying problem. I couldn't find any way to totally restore the Moto G XT1032 to the stock firmware.

You should flash back to stock using fastboot commands. Update all Motorola apps, and get the OTA update.

It's like 5 months ago I rooted my Moto G. and when I paste in a fastboot command it says: "fastboot command not found"
My Moto G is now stuck in a bootloop - I need to fix this :/
Do you have the proper dirves and mfastboot or fastboot files on your computer? Are you using Win7?
Hi, I have the following problem.
A friend of mine gave me a Honor H60-L12 with a problem with calls. No audio or microphone was working. It was a stock phone, with emui 2.3 and Android 4.4.2
I decided to upgrade it, and downloaded an h60-l12_emui3.0_4.4_5.8.5. That solved the problem, but now, I have a chinese phone, without google play market, or google account, AND, it only works on 2G. No matter what I set on the APN. Same sim card works perfect on another phone.
I tried to restore the phone with differents update.app, with the 3 button method and the local update method, nothing works. Is there anything I can do to get a normal android build on emui3.0 or i bricked the phone?
Thanks a lot
Go to fastboot and flash manually. Check the method to flashing rom through fastboot mode.
For this, you need to download the stock rom(miui 2.3 specificly for your version only, else it won't work) and then you have to extract it using "Huawei Extractor" to get the required files. Then those files can be flashed using following fastboot command.
- fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.img
- fastboot flash system SYSTEM.img
- fastboot flash boot BOOT.img
- fastboot flash cache CACHE.img
- fastboot flash cust CUST.img
- fastboot flash userdata USERDATA.img
I have tried this and I succeed.
Refer the below link(Its using multi tool):

Ashishakp, thanks for reply!!! My phone is now on stock ROM again.
I still have the problem with the chinese firmware version. Is there a way I can update it to the ROM that came with the phone? It was a USA android build, with google market and google account.
Best solution would be EMUI 3.0 International via OTA.
Is that possible?
I have a H60-L12, it was on B116 (but it was marked as B1116 in settings....) and it never got any OTA, even honor suite still say it's up to date. And when I go in "updates" it was like a simple OTA checking screen, not with the blue EMUI logo.
I was previously rooted so the bootloader is unlocked.
So I flashed the latest EMUI 2.3 (B121), only flashing recovery and system in fastboot. And it worked well. Now I have the blue EMUI update screen with the local update button. I put the update.app for EMUI 3.1 (B532) on the dload folder on SD card, used the local update button, it reboot but it say the update failed and come back to the B121.
Then I flashed the recovery and system from B532, but once it reboot it stay on the honor logo (with the powered by android at the bottom). But nothing else, I waited 5 minutes. Hopefully it was not bricked, I go in fastboot mode again and flashed back B121, reboot and all normal again.
I still don't get where is the problem. The 3 button method don't work too, but i tested under B116, it just take the honor screen without any menu to flash update.app.
Hi guys, I have an Honour 4C wich reading through forums i managed to update it to most recent AOKP 7.1.2 version (https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8l...t/rom-t3717536) for P8Lite Alice and everything was ok.
I can recall some years ago I had to change my model from CHC-U01 to CMH-U01 to update to 6.0 if my memory is right and recently flashed P8 Lite firmware (B896) in order to flash AOKP and device was running without problems.
I was running my phone in performance governor for gaming , forgot turn it off, My phone complety run out of battery while asleep i woke up put it to charge.
It charged a little and after it powered on by itself bootlooping into OS.
I'm now facing a bootloop, phone auto turns on when charging and bootloops.
If I enter fastboot and exit into a shutdown its stays charging ok. (Just to turn on by itself at some point)
PC detects fastboot just fine and I can fastboot, however, no matter what I Flash i can't get sytem to boot up properly NOR can i boot TWRP recovery.
I flash twrp into recovery, IT says it was flashed OK but when i boot into recovery it just open that EMUI menu with reboot into system , wipe cache/ and system restore (wich takes 1sec , says system restored but it doesnt).
I've tried to flash B896_Update.zip used HuaweiUpdateExtractor and flashed BOOT RECOVERY AND SYSTEM OK , but again, no changes... it boots into AOKP Logo when it should boot into Huawei logo if any changes took efect.
If boot into fastboot and press KeyvolumeUP, other eRecovery EMUI appears now with restart , wifi update and shutdown.
When I try this Wifi method it bootloops right after it says connecting..
Also I can't do a fastboot erase (cache...userdata..any) because it gives FAILED (remote: Command not allowed) ... my bootloader is UNLOCKED and command prompt is running in administrator mode.
Same happens if i try to run fastboot boot twrp_Recovery.img , download OK but FAILED remote: Command not allowed.
I have no way to do an ADB sideload and try to go from that because system doesnt boot.
Is it just HardBricked even so I can boot into bootloader and fastboot?
It is driving me crazy it feels like fastboot just "fake flashes" or something . Nothing takes effect ....
Hi Korreya,
Once I to had ended up in a boot loop when I had messed up during twrp (that was 1st time I had tried flashing it into a phone).
I eventually tried many methods, few of which you have also mentioned, and finally succeeded but I exactly don't remember what I had did so I'm not sure if this works.
Download the stock Honor4C ROM (I'm not able to post the link so you could just Google it) and copy the file named UPDATE.APP into a folder named "dload" (without the " , if there's no such folder just create one) on your SD card and then try going into the eRecovery EMUI and updating the system.
PS: Note that this would install the official stock ROM on the device.
Try it and do let me know if that helps.
Peace
