Hello,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
What device do you own?

So i booted up my phone today (running tweakstock v1.4) and the samsung logo is missing part of the "A".
Has anyone had this problem before? It just annoys me everytime I boot up the phone....
Lol... Sorry that is a new one... You could extract the image from another rom and just paste it in the right folder to fix it. It sounds more like you have something covering the a more than the a being deformed
Charged up post!
I thought the white Samsung logo before the boot animation was cooked into the phone and can't be modified.

You should be able to do it, as I've seen people modify the motorola logo. However, I think it is below the ROM level.
Try to reflash either just param.lfs or a full stock ROM.
I have a very persistant boot animation I just cant seem to get rid of. Ive tried several things and it still remains. can someone please assist me in deleting it.
thanks in advance

Hi,
2 more for you:
HERE
and HERE
Okay guys,
I have a Verizon Galaxy S III.
I have BeansCustomRom_B10 on my phone.
I had installed a lot of apps and random stuff so I wanted to revert back to my first backup I made right after I first installed this ROM.
SO
I booted into recovery, selected the restore, and it restored.
Only thing is. Is my display is stuck constantly displaying the boot screen animation!
This is were it gets strange. I may be stuck dsiplaying the animation but everything still works. I can unlock the phone and hear it unlock but all it's displaying is the boot animation!
I can access it through USB and ect, but for some reason it's stuck displaying this!
I can boot into odin mode but what do I do!?
I saw this thread but didn't know how to relate it to this device.
:crying:
Have you tried just rebooting the phone?

Yep, and I tried leaving the battery out for a while. Still doing the same thing
I bricked my phone when switching to non kexec roms and used odin to reset the phone. Once you have the right files downloaded from Samsung it's really easy to reset everything.
Are u running stock or somethin custom? Sounds like ur stuck in the bootanimation loop. Check this page maybe it relates to your situation. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1754612&page=4 Alter the numbers in the desc.txt file of the bootanimation.zip as shown.

My phone is working, but all it will display on the sceen while on is the boot animation. So, I can't do much of anything because I can't actually see what I'm doing on the screen.
Hmmm.......
Okay. I think I got it.
I just wasn't familiar with oden
I used it to flash back
i need help.....
My NS turned off suddenly and now iI can't restart it.....
I opened Picsart, a photo app and the screen went like in 3D then it turned off and now it refuses to start again.....
I need help I love my NS and have a lot of things in it....
how can I relaunch it......................

Dead Nexus S, see this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1842229
Send it back for repair. All your data is gone though, hope you have backup.

How about the basics:
Pull the battery, charge it for an hour or so... boot in either recovery or boot loader screen instead of just powering up.
If u get one of the above screens then ur fine.
If none of that works, then follow the link from previous post
Good luck

Hi, i tried updating my tab to the leaked 4.1 OTA and after following the instructions my tab wont boot. It will only play the boot animation then hang at the samsung logo for about ten minutes then go black. I cant get it into download or recovery mode, but when i plug it into the wall it shows the battery icon. Also odin recognises the tab while its hanging at the samsung logo.. i have heard talk of a usb jig but not for this tablet.. Can anyone offer any advice? thanks in advance
If Odin sees it a USB jig isn't needed.. Just flash the stock f/w tar and you're good
EDIT: fail... No download mode... Umm... Sounds like you're in a bootloop... No idea why recovery and download wouldnt work tho...

The good news is that the device probably isn't bricked. If it was unfixably bricked you shouldn't even see the boot animation.
It's figuring out how to fix it that's the hard part.
What you've clearly done as far as the ROM though is installed the rom improperly somehow. Might have missed as step in the process, or the ROM could have just been a bad download and no fault of your own. These things happen to the best of us.
Assuming that clockworkmod recovery is still installed, and you just can't get into it, you might try to see if you can access it using adb from your computer.
If you have abd installed boot the device as far as it'll go then see if you can connect to it with adb and run this command...
abd reboot recovery
Also try
adb reboot boot loader
If you don't have adb installed read this...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1853159
If that doesn't work (and I only give it a 50-50 shot at best as adb isn't always useful during the boot process, which is where you are stuck....then we'll think of something else.
Also please describe the steps you are using to try and get into recovery just to make sure you're trying it the right way.
And after it gets stuck at the Samsung screen are you turning it off completely by holding the power, volume up, and volume down all at once? That should shut the device off completely, which is where you need to be before trying to boot into recovery.
Thank you both! ! I managed to get it going

Please share how you got it fixed and what ended up working.
That way when someone else Google's the same probelm a year from now and finds this thread, he'll have the answer waiting for him. (See my signature cartoon from XKDC.com for a comical represensation of why not explaining what the outcome was is annoying)
Glad it got working!
Well i asked in the thread for that rom and it was suggested that the battery needed charging, I didnt think this was the case cuz my tab had been plugged in to the wall for about an hour already but I let it sit for a couple hours and it finally booted although it said there was 15% power left... its still charging really slow but it boots now!
