INSTALLATION
First time installing Resurrection Remix to your Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, or coming from another ROM
- flash TWRP
- Copy GApps and ResurrectionRemix-M ZIPs to your internal or external SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET
- Flash ResurrectionRemix-M zip
- Flash GApps zip
- Reboot
- DO NOT FLASH SUPERSU; IT IS ALREADY INCLUDED

RR bug: after each reboot, ROM says "optimizing this/that app"
If you flash a gapps package and get a force close on the keyboard, boot into TWRP, mount system, then choose the file manager option and delete /system/lib/libjni_latinimegoogle.so or flash keyboard fix.zip attached.
You will need to give your browser permission to access storage before you can download anything with it. Go to Settings-Apps to adjust permissions.
Please note:
I only sync and compile this rom. I use gr8nole device tree from Lineage OS 14. So every bug found in Lineage OS 14 is present here. Other's bugs found in this rom that are missing from Lineage OS 14 are from RR source.
I built this rom and I like to share it here on xda as it is. I'm not an IT programmer (my Knowledge in programming is very limited) and I do not have very often free time. If someone find a fix for a bug, I will recompile the rom with that fix. But I will not fix bugs by myself because I do not have the Knowledge and time to learn.
I will not respond to any comment except comments that will help me fix the rom.
After flashing as the new it is not possible to go next after choosing the language - the yellow button does not work.
On my T310 is working OK. After the first boot, I chose romanian language and it worked. I did not try with other languages. Did you install gapps and delete the lib file?

I clarify. Within opengapps, there arw several options to choose from (arm, x86,etc). There are 3 options to choose from, and i can handle the last one (mini, zero, etc). I just dont know what to chose for the first 2.

What tweak/mods you added in this ROM?? Have you set dpi as 233?? Cz on gr8nole rom, dpi was 213 and it caused screen flickering. Setting dpi as 233 reduced it to an extend.

The dpi is 213 default, but you can modify it to 233 from settings - display. After the restart the tablet is starting in safe mode, and after another restart everyting is ok and the screen flickering is almost gone.

Does that error message in the middle of the screen mean anything?
Also, can I flash this with a previous version of twrp (2.8.3.0)? I asked in your twrp thread about the error I got trying to install 2.8.7.1.

On variant chose nano or pico not stock. And the message in the middle of the screen is not important. The patch mentioned there is included by default in Cyanogenmod sources and this ROM is based on Cyanogenmod sources.

I don't know. Try to update to TWRP 2.8.7.0. I modified my TWRP thread and now there are three methods to flash TWRP: directly from recovery, with ODIN and with app (or DD command).
Big thanks. I flashed as in the OP, and upon reboot, it states that android keyboard has stopped, and I'm unable to type anything. I rebooted, and it still happens.

I've loaded other roms (slimsaber, bindroid, and others), and changing was faster than it is with this rom. Is there something somewhere that hasn't been enabled in the kernel to charge faster? I've looked, but I don't see any setting related to charging.
I did not enable fast charge in kernel. When I have time I'll check which is the charge current threshold, and if it is lower than the charge current threshold from stock rom I will modify it.

Well I've tried numerous times to get this ROM installed on my T310. I have been using gr8nole's ROM successfully but wanted to try this one.
Epic fail.
- I tried clean-flashing along with the Gapps noted in install post several times. Everything goes well until I reboot my Tab 2 or 3 times. After each reboot, ROM says "optimizing this/that app" and continues to what looks like a successful boot. However, after the 3rd reboot, my tablet goes into endless reboots seconds after getting to the home screen.
- I tried dirty-flashing over Gr8nole ROM: same thing.
I tried the Dec 20 ROM: same thing.
I installed ROM without any GAPPS: same thing.
Any ideas?

Regarding the "optimizing this/that app" after every reboot, I can confirm it but I do not know how to fix it. Any idea to fix this problem is welcomed. I encounter this problem on other devices with RR. Regarding the endless reboot, I can not confirm it. I use this rom from 20 dec and everything is ok (dirty flash the 25 dec built). Today I recompiled the rom, but there is a problem with youtube (same like in cm13) so I will not upload it.

Installation Instructions
First you will need to download the modified recovery from Here (Don't flash it!!)
Make a Backup as usual to your phone stuff like apps, Whatsapp conversations ecc....
Backup your internal sd content, because all its content will be lost so make sure to backup everything like photos, videos ecc....(you can copy the full content on a pc or inside a new folder of your external sd)
Now Reboot inside CWM or TWRP recovery which not includes new partition assignments
Make a Nandroid backup of your entirely ROM and backup it on the external sd
Install the new TWRP recovery that includes new partition assignments
Make a Reboot Recovery (To reboot inside the new one)
Wipe Data as ext4 partition (Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> Select Data -> Repair or Change File System -> Change File System -> EXT4 -> Swipe)
Make a Wipe for Dalvik Cache, Cache and System
Now you can Download the ROM from the Downloads section under this post
Once you downloaded plug the device on the computer , then mount USB Storage (Make sure that MTP is enabled)
If you finished copying your files than you're free to install the ROM now
Update Instructions
Download the latest build of Resurrection Remix ROM
Flash ROM usingrecovery
Flash Gapps
Wipe cache,dalvik cache
Reboot
Enjoy!

Yes you can flash it over the CM12 one, the Music player is working fine here
Can i flash K Kernel on this ROM?
yes it works fine now.. nice job you did there and the front facing camera works too!
but i when i connect it as USB storage.. "please insert a disk into revomeable disk" i can't access my SD card..
but well done man.. smooth transisition.. butterfly system.. no lags so far.. well im still downloading the gapps.. (deleted the gapps.. dumb me)
and im on power saving mode from the performace in the setting.. still good.. i'll see the battery now and flash gapps later.

how can i access the superuser.. cant find it
CM included now the SuperUser in the privacy guard so from now no more standalone app for SuperUser.
If the SuperUser request doesn't appear when it is required just go to developer options and you will find root access . I don't think it's required to go there because i already enabled by default

Thanks for the reply it took me 30 minutes to boot up but hey its Android 5.0 on a 4 year old phone.......:laugh::highfive:
Whatever rom it is it will always take some time to compile all applications. The reason why some roms take longer than others it's because of the applications present on the roms. Besides of the number, the size of an application matters as well.

maybe not so critical but this an issue.. my clash of clans are bugging out and hang out the phone completely.. while the other so far are quite normal

Unfortunately, I can confirm that the bug in sending sms with more than 160 characters, is also present here. Even using other apps (8sms, Textra, and others) is the same.
The option to split the msg over 160, also does not help.
Maybe it's a problem in CM12.
I believe that this issue will soon be resolved :fingers-crossed:
However, for the first release seems to be very good :good::good:

That's weird. I changed also to textra. And I send today an sms with more than 160 chars. And I didn't had the sending problem. The other person received the sms without a problem

cm 11 theme dont work mostlyon lollipop
try downloading cm12 theme as they are definately working for me

I like the lots of possible personalizations.
Using dark Themes the writing becomes almost unreadable....dark on dark...
Cannot install swiftkey: Setting crashes
apart from these two problems I found everything very good and stable.
I found another problem: cannot edit contacts , or better I cannot see what i write and what is written...white font over white background?
And onether one: no gps

all you can do is either increase the brightness or use better themes as i am not facing these issues

My theme was CM12 dark cartoon, the app you say doesn't work on this device. Now I've changed theme and it is better. But still no gps and no way to install alternative keyboard. Settings crash

Oi tanks for all of your work, great rom everything work's nicely, only a little bug, is not possible change the keyboard give error and close setings, everything work's very good ,y read you don't want reports bugs but nobody taks about this and y sink is important, tank you for all of your great work.
Is there a way to overclock the cpu to 1.2GHz and/or overclock the gpu to 384MHz?

till now (5 days, 100 or so apps) no issues

i already flash..but when go to system on resurrection image & animation oon screen ...i wait till 15 minutes still same..any advise

go to setting >about>tap on build number till it says you a dev
then go to dev options and enable root for apps and adb
use a root capable file manager

Hello! Installed on the T311 - freezes the video on scrolling with HW-acceleration and the overall impression of a certain inhibition, compared to 4.2.2. The first time in 5 android and so - like everything, I hope this trouble just because of the alpha version.

Yeah same issue here .. I think the reason is that the GPU drivers haven't been installed.. Otherwise its a really good and fairly stable ROM..

That's Samsung's fault. I had this problem too on my Galaxy S3 (same gpu).
Good ROM, but it has some bugs...
When ROM is started at first time it prepares mobile internet connection very long. Only reboot helped (I activated airplane mode then). But it's not critical. Important part is below...
If I add in quick settings more icons than it can be in panel, line with these icons just disappear. On CM12.1 these icons are shown normally, with need to list quick settings like I do this with notifications list.
I would happy to jump to your ROM if these bugs will be fixed

Replace Animation Boot with CM-12.1
Go to the following link.
Click on "view Raw".
Then rename the animation boot to bootanimation.zip.
Reboot, now your animation should be changed.
Guys please don't install this rom without doing full wipe, use official TWRP, then it's not my problem if give you issues without wiping.

With a file manager, like ES Explorer File Manager, open System/Media (root access are needed).

Installation Insturaction
- Make sure you are either on any Lollipop ROM or on 4.2.2 TW based ROM and
NOT on 4.1.2 TW based ROM
- Install a custom recovery with SELinux support
- Download the latest build
- Download GApps
- Take a nandroid backup
- Recommended - Full wipe and factory reset
- Flash ROM using your custom recovery
- Flash GApps
- For I9105 (without nfc) flash NFC DESTROYER
- Reboot.
- Enjoy!

HazyROM is based on the latest lollipop with some features from Euphoria OS, ghsr ask me to continue it, that's all

No difference i think, but GHsR is out of work for some time and Haky will continue to port the RR for us.

OK guys we have 2 notice one bad and one good xD:
-the bad Video recording is still not work, i use cm12.1 patches and I am compiling just Camera2 app just to not waste another time..
-the good new is I update the source to 5.4.7 once video recording fixed I will update..of course :good::good:
All works great except for the themes.
At first reboot installed themes stop working and the system return the message that the theme could not be installed.
Also with the preinstalled RR dark theme.
I have to uninstall all themes
like usually problems are happened only to me.
-java is rude me a lot specially when you have to reinstall everything again.
-I will buy external hard drive to save all sources :/

Installation Instruction
- Download the latest build
- Make a backup!
- If you were on CM 10.1 or a stock ROM prior to 4.2, upgrade to stock 4.2 first.
- Install ClockworkMod or TWRP recovery with SELinux support. Older CWM will result in a "status 7" error.
- Download the ROM and GApps
- Reboot to recovery
- Wipe data/factory reset if coming from stock or another non-CM ROM (You may get a "staus 7" error if you fail to wipe.)
- Flash the ROM and then GApps
- For GT-I9105 flash nfc destroyer
- Reboot your phone
- Enjoy!

You are not the only one, after i installed i have a lots of rebots,over and over again. But when i take out my sim card everything works fine...

I don't know, my sim is pin locked,after i put the pin, in the moment when the phone get the signal he restart, so now i want to take out that stupid pin and try again.

The problem is still there, when my phone get the signal is restarting over and over again,i tried other gapps too because i thought it's some sort of incompatibility or a bug or something like that but didn't help
Tested for about 12 hours. Battery is good!
I just have one random reboot until now. Everything works fine, except Titanium Backup that is unable to restore correctly data.
One thing: the boot is slow: about 2-3 minutes.

So the error was caused by the GApps package?
I'm currently recompiling RR.
We have to understand that this is an old device. Currently I think it's not even about being a "legacy" device, but a "historic" one.
If indeed the GApps package is the problem, I'd recommend doing a clean flash of the original 4.2.2 stock through Odin, install recovery, flash latest TWRP and try to flash this ROM again.
I expected a lot of errors using CM13/AOSP 6 ROMs and GApps packages. My phone is so damaged that I can't even properly use the USB port to do a stock flash. I'm currently running CM11 and I didn't expect any error. Truth is our phone is old. It can barely support new CM ROMs since KK. Errors are expected to happen. And sometimes (just like in my case) there is no explanation for it and it can be fixed just by testing. It seems the phones are reacting differently to everyone. And might depend on the flashing historic anyone did.

I don't think the boot is slow, but i saw thatm after boot, the phone vibrate and if you press the back or menu button it will vibrate again but on the screen it still show the RR logo, i think it;s more kind of a bug
The version I compiled today is online. Just so we can see if the problem was source related.

For now everything it's ok, anyway i use other gapps than OpenGapss, but the gapps i use now i tryed yesterday too and i got that reboots, but as i said for now everything it;s ok, i will come back to say if i find other problems xD

Is fixed,i tried with open gapps too and everything works fine :good:
Works perfectly (Y) .. Now i can admit that this is the best ROM I've ever tried
