As we all know, PIE is enforced in android 5.0+, so all executables built for old android releases need to be rebuilt
And here is wireless-tools for all architectures running android lollipop+
Source is also includes

Hi all,
i m trying to using Eclipse Helios for android application.
in my Eclipse Helios the minimum Android Build Target version is Android 1.5.
and according to my history of android version before the version Android 1.5(CupCake) three more versions are launched those are
1. Android Beta,
2. Android 1.0
3. Android 1.1
but in the build target there are not available.
so i want to ask these are not supported or any other reason.
please tell me What minimum version of Android Build Target supported by Eclipse Helios?
i m waiting for ur valuable suggestions.
thanks in advance.
eclipse helios (and by extension the androidsdk) starts at android 1.5
according to wikipedia there was only one device that had android 1 and 1.1 on it. (HTC Dream / G1) so it's safe to assume all other android phones have a newer version

Hi all,
I want to build Android from source and install it on a device. Simple build runs successfully so that I assume the environment is set up correctly. Question is: Is there a dependency between Android and the kernel version, i.e. do certain Android versions require certain kernel versions? Do I need to update the kernel on a device before installing a new Android version?
Thanks a lot!!
Mike
Welcome,
I have some (partially technical) questions regarding the lighter version of Android - Android Go (Oreo Edition).
1. Does Android Go provide full support for applications dedicated to "normal" Android? Has it been somehow trimmed in terms of compatibility?
Of course, I omit porting an application to newer Android version in general. Rather a comparison with "full" Android Oreo or other versions.
2. Does Android Go also support Project Treble enabled drivers?
3. Does the obligation of supplying Project Treble enabled vendor implementation and minimum 4.4 kernel version for devices shipping with Android 8 refer also to Android Go?
Device : zte nubia z5s mini nx406e (Android version 4.4.4 KitKat)
According to official information here
information summary:
Building recent old releases (>= 5.0 Lollipop)
Building really old releases (<= 4.4 KitKat)
(>= 5.0 Lollipop) (<= 4.4.4 Me) (<= 4.4 KitKat)
Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) – AOSP master: Ubuntu 14.04 (Trusty)
Android 2.3.x (Gingerbread) – Android 5.x (Lollipop): Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise)
Android 1.5 (Cupcake) – Android 2.2.x (Froyo): Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid)
JDK
Supported versions
Android 7.0 (Nougat) - Android 8.0 (Oreo):
Ubuntu: OpenJDK 8
Android 5.x (Lollipop) – Android 6.0 (Marshmallow):
Ubuntu: OpenJDK 7
Android 2.3.x (Gingerbread) - Android 4.4.x (KitKat):
Ubuntu: Java JDK 6
other information, Each version of Ubuntu comes by default with a certain version of JDK, and not all versions of Ubuntu, you can install all versions of JDK, starting from there, it looks like this:
Ubuntu 14.04 LTS ----> openjdk-7 ---> Source
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS ----> openjdk-8 ---> Source
* Then i ask: to be able to work with this device that works with Android version 4.4.4
then I should better use Ubuntu 14.04 LTS ?
Sorry my English is bad
