OnePlus X - will I be satisfied? - General Topics

So few days ago I ordered OnePlus X and can`t wait for it, but as far as I go I`m getting worried that the specs is too low for 2016 smart phone. I`m planing to use it at least 1.5 year and I want it to work as fast as any high-end smartphone. So I`m asking you guys if that Qualcomm® SnapdragonTM 801 processor with 2.3 GHz Quad-core CPUs; Qualcomm® AdrenoTM 330 will satisfy me after a year or so? I`m planning to use a stock android rom with a custom optimization, for the most time I will be using this device for web browsing, messaging and few basic games/apps (For example: Crossy road, Youtube, Spotify) the most important thing for me that everything would be working as fast as possible. What do you think? Is this device is the right choice for me?

You could read some review threads in the device sections general area here,

And decide for yourself. But if you must ask others , then here's a dedicated thread for such questions,

True Story :good:
I would say the only way to archive it is over clock the chip to 1495mhz, you can find the notice of the overclocking from some game like death rally. Trust me, all the rom is the same because Desire S is still using the old generation which make the gaming performance go low plus the sense is also a reason.
I have chance to compare the gaming performance with the Xperia U with almost same hardware spec except the dual core. The result is quite unexpected, Xperia U handle games much better although they are using the same GPU Adreno 205. Hope it will help , you wont notice the different until you try heavy games.

[Q] A legacy phone (up to 4,3", min 1GB RAM)

I'm currently looking for a used phone under 200E that will stick around for a long time to come and will always run some form of new Android (official or custom, doesn't matter).
It needs to be a swift phone with at least 1GB RAM and a screen smaller than (or at most) 4.3".
I'm looking for good deals on an S2. Is there anything else you would recommend ?

zte grand x in ??
Thanks for the recommendation. Anyone can compare these two phones directly ? I can get the ZTE around 40E cheaper than the S2 (around 140 vs 180 euros). Is it worth paying the extra money for the S2 ?

Recommend me my new tablet!

With BlackFriday coming, I will be buying my first tablet.
I was set on the Nexus 7, but I saw a friends last night and it's rather small (maybe a little too small) for my liking. So now I'm having second thoughts, of course!
So, what 10" tablet would be the best switch? I need
WiFi
Ability to play flash games
$200-350ish (probably 400 max)
Will be rooting the device, so something with a good variety of customizability
I would rather stick to Google or Samsung, and do NOT want an Apple device. What do yall think?
There are 3 threads devoted to discussions about devices, please repost your question in one of these three threads: The what should I buy thread or the The Device Suggestion Thread or the The Device Comparison Thread.
Thanks!

[Q] Help buying tablet (suggestions)

So I searched the forums for a place to write this but couldn't find so I decided to post here.
I am looking to buy a tablet, but have no idea which one of the millions to choose.
What I'm looking to in a tablet:
- Good (to excellent) performance
- Big screen (around 10 inch), and a good one
- Supported by the forums (I'd like to install all different kinds of ROMs..)
- I came across the possibility to have dual-boot with Windows, so that'd be awesome (of couse win10)
- 64GB would be great
- Nice battery life
- And, of course, the cheaper the better (I don't want to spend more than 300$ on it)
I'm pretty sure I'm asking for too much, especially with the budget price, but can you guys please do me a favor and suggest me tablets around the specs I want?
Oh and I looked at Telcast's X98 Pro tablet, it was perfect, but problem is that the tablet isn't supported by the forums at all..
Thank you guys in advance!

Which phone best replaces/improves on the Note 4?

My note 4 has reached it's end of life for a multitude of reasons, mostly due to being dropped too much. I've very much enjoyed it for the last 2 years.
While I do not wish for this to be another "what's better thread" I know some of you are much better versed with the current smartphones with the best internal components for the money. So far I've come across the pixel XL, HTC 10, and the Mate 9.
Budget isn't a concern, nor is carrier as I'm sure what I'm looking for has multiple radios. I just want to know what to buy and flash so I'm not wasting time reading reviews and looking through development forums.
tl;dr I want another 5.5-6 inch screen phone with the same 4k screen and camera capabilities, as well as the best processor and ram in its class. Aftermarket ROM development is also an important factor. Pixel XL is looking the best so far.
much appreciated
