This was wrong alert from Motorola. They later clarified via their Forums and Twitter account that no rollout had begun India. We gotta wait for now.

If it's on Google+ then it must be true. I doubt it is official though, it's the 3rd soak test.

Some guy on gsmarena claiming he got the update. Chk screens.

It's out. Some guy (Pvs007, from India) said he got the OTA update notification at around 11am yesterday.

I tried checking for myself, but I didn't get it. It probably may take few days or weeks till everyone gets the OTA notif, as it's usually rolled out in stages...

You should have captured the OTA first.

This is the final official nougat build that was released today for all devices. Read the OPs post.

Probably yes. I tried to install it over soak test, but no luck.
Our only chance to avoid downgrading is someone to upload the second soak test.

It always says that I think. en-US simply means it is US English.

Yes.

Attempting sideloading on a XT1644 SS US Retaill, I have MPJ24.139-64/65 and this OTA is not working as the previous Soak. So it seems to be working only for Indian users, US Retail will have to wait until Motorola releases the correct update file.

You must update the firmware first. See FAQ #4 of the ruu thread in the general section

Do not install this version, as it is not offiicial. Nougat released today is 2.17.401.2 and you will not get OTA if you install 2.16.401.3.

Yes. I am on 2.16.401.3 and no updates. Others are receiving the 2.17.401.2 and HTC confirmed that there is no OTA for 2.16.401.3 as they have never released 2.16...

As we know that Motorola had started soak test for the Z PLAY few weeks ago.
But now, soak test for the MOTO Z is also started!!
Those who were accepted for the Soak test are starting to receive the update, which is indeed Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The system version is NPL.26.107, for those keeping track.

I wouldn't mind a tutorial on that.

I'm from Brazil and have an unlocked Z, also received the 7.1.1 update today. Not much seems to have changed. Some icons are now rounded, the camera app has been updated, got the 1st July security patch, dialer app also seems to have been updated.

I thought retbr users received update
BTW no it's not compatible with non retapac devices but you can install it on your retbr.
This will change your software channel from retbr to retapac so you won't be able to receive retbr updates and you will get retapac updates in future
untill sideloading some new retbr OTA to change your software channel from retapac to retbr

I have the knowledge that the channel no longer changes by installing the rom from another channel. The channel seems to be recorded on the card / IMEI, something like that.
The update is being released in lots here in Brazil, I do not know why but I always receive the updates almost 1 week after the first reports. I am very anxious and I always like the news. I used a lot of Custom Rom in my old Galaxy S3 kkkkk. Ah, your OTA download tool is not downloading on Android, By Chrome Stable it starts downloading but soon pauses, and stays pausing whenever I put it to continue, already by Firefox the download does not start.

i've got a build. should be up on here tonight sometime. you'll have to have an unlocked bootloader, and have to flash retail latin america firmware before being able to flash the OTA zip.
