Is it possible to bypass Google account - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note5

Hi guys, my note 5 was stolen yesterday, I had fingerprint lock screen and obviously my Google account. The device was rooted and bootloader unlocked, is it possible to bypass Google account during setup?

Sadly yes....

Not sure exactly or what you are asking but if you are asking if someone can get passed your fingerprint lock and if you are rooted, you can just wipe the device in twrp recovery.

forgotten Lock screen

Hi all,
A friend with this device (the 4G one) got a forgotten lock screen somehow. I wanted to help bypass without losing data.
The lock screen only keeps asking for repeating entering the pin, it does not provide alternative such as google account (which we do have).
Please note the device is unrooted and I don't intend to root it or do any customization.
Help is appreciated.
Does your friend have a Samsung account? If so, you can use that to remotely unlock it from here: http://findmymobile.samsung.com/

I've always run ADB commands to rooted devices so I'm not sure if this will work but anyways here's a link that might be helpful.

Thank you but I already hard resetted and lost data as the owner chosen that. But I need to research this to a maximum as I found that my Nexus 4 with Lolipop also has this problem (and Nexus apparantly has no Samsung account ) . So if I get the lock screen forgotten, I'm in really big trouble! All expert advice is welcome please.

That's because with device encryption this feature is now handled directly by Google, you can enable/disable it in tnt developer options (allow OEM unlock).
There is no point in having the same protection twice, so Samsung has removed their own to prevent redundancy.
Also if you factory reset your phone from the recovery with the OEM unlock off, you will be locked out of your device for 72hrs so be careful.

Samsung reactivation lock vs google Factory Reset Protection(FRP)
Samsung reactivation lock was very secure & easy to setup. When it is on, no one can neither factory reset (both from phone setting & recovery mode) nor install new firmware through odin. Samsung has removed the feature in samsung galaxy s7. Is Factory Reset Protection(FRP) introduce by google provide the same level of security? what happen when phone is not set lockscreen protection & someone enable oem unlock & then factory reset or flash the firmware through odin?

Oem unlock is for thebm bootloader and has nothing to do with frp, that option allow you to do some stuff in download mode

It's for deterring mobile theft.
Previously, people would steal a mobile phone, throw the original SIM Card away, and resell them. The buyer would then put in their SIM Card and go about their way.
Android tries to prevents this kind of theft by making the phone aware of a SIM Card replacement and then locking the phone asking for the previously installed Google account password, which the thief nor the buyer would know. By doing this, Google is hoping that thiefs would soon stop stealing Android mobile phones since they can't use/sell them anyway.
Thief starts getting creative by reflashing everything, negating the Google account password requirements.
Samsung starts locking the device if it detects such tamper. The detection itself can be bypassed by allowing OEM Unlock (Which some of us tinkerer mistakenly forgot and got locked out of our own device upon shutdown/reboot. It's solvable, but requires a wipe, therefore securing user data from theft's eyes.).

Unfortunately, the phone has been reported as stolen and being blocked. You can call the printed number to confirm your purchase along with the invoice if possible.

You need unlocked bootloader so you can frp/config reset using fastboot .
Well, that was anti-climactic..

Question about factory resetting Google Pixels regarding FRP

Hey, I have a OnePlus 3 so I have messed around a lot with my phone, today I saw a Google Pixel at sale for a pretty low price but the guy selling it says that the phone has a Google account on it from the previous owner but it doesn't have a security pattern pin or password to get into the phone, it just has swipe to unlock. He says he can't use the play store but he has downloaded apks directly and can use the phone with some limitations. My question is, I use an OnePlus 3 and in that situation I could unlock my bootloader and flash a different ROM and fully unlock it. Is that not possible on the Pixel? I can't just go into the developer settings, enable oem unlocking, boot into fastboot and unlock the bootloader and flash a different rom or factory reset it without triggering FRP? How does that work? Given the circumstances is there any way to factory reset or flash a different rom on that pixel without issues? Thanks!
Hello, the Verizon version of the Pixel has a locked bootloader and can NOT be unlocked, some people have bought a Verizon version but were lucky to get it with 7.1 which is the only version that can have the bootloader unlocked. If the Pixel is the unlocked version (Google Store) or Verizon version, it can be unlocked using different methods until it reaches the December 5th Security Patch, at that point there is only one method right now to bypass the frp for the December 5th patch - current patch.
If I understand correctly, the phone already has frp, you need to find out what version the pixel is and what security patch does it have.
The seller might of used dirty-c0ws method to install a home launcher and other apps but none of the google apps work and you can't add your google account to it until you completely remove frp.

It hasn't been reset yet, it's on 7.1.1 so I believe the security patch on it is later than December. I can't access developer options, enable oem unlocking and proceed with the steps to flash a custom ROM?
It's in May Security patch, but the phone isn't yet locked, the guy selling it has access to the phone, he just can't remove the Google account. Is there no way to enable OEM unlocking, open the bootloader, flash twrp and a different ROM? Does any of these steps require the Google account password? The device doesn't seem to have any pattern pin or password, just swipe up to unlock.
Your phone is in FRP state. You can use the phone with the above patch, just you can't get the Google service on it.

That's why it's such a low price. It's a bogus deal and you should just move on. Could be a lost or stolen device in which case one day it will be blacklisted and you are out of luck. Pay the extra money and buy a legit device.

Device locked / associated mi account

Hello ppl,
I unlocked the bootloader and I can flash any custom ROM without problem...But when I'm installing the official MIUI comes back the lock screen ( this device is assosiated with mi account).
So, everytime I have to connect to WiFi and enter my password to unlock it!
Why is that? How can i free my device from this cloud lock? Is it enough to remove my device from the assosiated devices list from my cloud? ( I think no, cause my device has the lock already and waits...)
Do I have to use mi account unlock tool?
I don't need cloud xiaomi cloud at all .
I used it only to unlock my bootloader.
Thanks...

I'm not certain what is happening there. Have you got TWRP custom recovery installed? I have had a multitude of issues with MIUI activation and accounts. As I created a MIUI account from the phone and it was a different account number to when I sign in via the website, so they didn't match up when I went to sign into Mi Unlock. It said I had to wait 6 months to use the mobile number with a different account. So had to get another SIM just to unlock the phone.
Unless the phone hasn't been fully wiped. You might need a factory reset or format data.
Thanks... Phone works perfect on crdroid.. I have offcourse the Chinese twrp..
I can flash every ROM without problem...
Only when I'm installing Miui I have the lock screen asking for activation and password..
I know my pass and I can go on...
But I want to disable it..
I don't want cloud lock on my device..
I'm also curious how it stays cloud locked after factory reset/ wiping everything... Lock stays probably in another partition....
It's normal behaviour, I get the same prompt when I install MIUI.
yes is normal.. But very irritating.... If i dont have wifi i cannot unlock my phone!!!!
So no way to de-associate my device ?
Last time for me that I'm buying xiaomi....
Good hardware , but they want to control and spy..
Not nice..
Next time One plus...

To disable it install official miui, sign into your mi account, then go to settings and sign out, and reset the phone. It will not ask for an account afterwards

It's nothing to do with spying, you didn't remove your account properly
