Extract the downloaded archive to TWRP BACKUPS folder.
Reboot to recovery and wipe all (system, data, cache and dalvik).

I would add wipe system and data to the instructions before restoring. The Brazilian and Canadian versions don't include any data, so if you flash them without wiping data your phone (most likely) won't boot.

Soak tests are usually very refined. They may have little bugs, but something you can live with for sure. In my opinion, the benefits of upgrading to 6.0, especially on this phone coming from a poor 5.1 implementation, are huge !

Yeah it doesn't matter on how many user apps we install. Backup of System and Boot partition will hold only what is packed by Motorola. It's just as flashing a new rom.
Also your contacts, call logs, messages etc all go into data partition.
Updating via this twrp method, would not touch the bootloader. So bootloader will remain same as lollipop version but the phone software will upgrade to marshmallow. I had been doing this on moto g 1st gen. Bcz Brazil used to hit the update first before india

Yesterday I downloaded from mega cloud. But it failed at last MB. So trying back now. Will update you the status soon.

EDIT: I dirty restored the zip over STOCK LP without wipe of DATA partition. It booted fine. Both sims are up but many FC's and Notification panel is not working rt now maybe due incompatibility of LP data with MARSHMALLOW. I will do a clean install and update back the clean status.. But yes..! it works. Thank you again.
EDIT2: Clean installed.. All working fine.. Will update the procedure soon.
EDIT3:
Procedure to Install TWRP Brazil-Retail Marshmallow Backup on Indian-Retail XT1550
1. Download TWRP backup uploaded by @nelsonw (Great Thanks to Him) - LINK
2. Unzip the downloaded file with archievename (Recommended app: Zarchiever) on your internal sd.
3. Reboot into TWRP recovery
Goto Advanced-->File Manager
Browser for sdcard
Open the unzipped folder. There will be a subfolder, open it too. Select the option MOVE
Paste it to sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/Your_Device_Serial_Here/
Verify that TWRP recognises the file you just paste. Goto TWRP main menu-->Restore. Here it must display the copied folder.
Now you are good to proceed with Restore.
4. Wipe DalvikCache, System, Data, Cache.
5. Restore the backup and reboot your phone.
Cheers..! You have Marshmallow now.

This is the final official nougat build that was released today for all devices. Read the OPs post.
Probably yes. I tried to install it over soak test, but no luck.
Our only chance to avoid downgrading is someone to upload the second soak test.

Attempting sideloading on a XT1644 SS US Retaill, I have MPJ24.139-64/65 and this OTA is not working as the previous Soak. So it seems to be working only for Indian users, US Retail will have to wait until Motorola releases the correct update file.

The only way this would receive an OTA is if you were in the Motorola Soak test and they whitelisted your IMEI for to receive the updates.

Oh, I don't have an answer for that then. I don't think you will receive any sort of OTAs due to this being a leaked update from before the soak tests started.

I'm from Brazil and have an unlocked Z, also received the 7.1.1 update today. Not much seems to have changed. Some icons are now rounded, the camera app has been updated, got the 1st July security patch, dialer app also seems to have been updated.

I thought retbr users received update
BTW no it's not compatible with non retapac devices but you can install it on your retbr.
This will change your software channel from retbr to retapac so you won't be able to receive retbr updates and you will get retapac updates in future
untill sideloading some new retbr OTA to change your software channel from retapac to retbr

BTW no it's not compatible with non retapac devices but you can install it on your retbr.
This will change your software channel from retbr to retapac so you won't be able to receive retbr updates and you will get retapac updates in future

Im rooted and noob, thats a good combo i think..tried to update via ota , and, of course , the Update failed. Idk , maybe someone can Help me twrp and July Update with drm fix is installed atm

just like you, I just got root and installed twrp on my 8141 xz premium. In your place, do not take this head just with security update. do you have a good rom proposed? maybe you have to test a rom?

As soon as the bootloader is unlocked, you are no longer able to update (OTA). You have to flash the firmware manually. You can download the current version of your firmware with Xperifirm, then flash it with Newflasher. Don't forget to backup all your apps and data (pictures,...) before!

Xposed works if you flash xposedfix from gfan on g8142 rom, flash with new flasher.

You could also use flashtool since it got updated to support XZ series and flash em without loosing data

I had a lot of users with problems after using flashtool. I always recommend Newflasher.

weird ive been using it since 3 updates including this one and it worked just like with the xperia play and z1c i had. never had problems. btw. is xperifix website down? i updated my xzp to .270 yesterday and wanted to drm fix it.
