History is placed directly above the current translation. Thereby, in order to take a look what you translated earlier you should just scroll up a little bit — just one tap! Moreover, search through items is available.
History is surely available offline as well. It plays part of both cache and history: without internet connection you're able to translate what's present in the history — it will be simply taken from there and displayed as the current translation.
What for if I have the native Google Translate app? The answer is convenience. I've just been to their website and installed the Opera plug-in for desktop browser translation.
The options setting panel says, and I quote "We on other platforms".
Whilst the sense is clear, it sure isn't English as she is spoke.

With this app you can store 4 location and recover it later. This location can be your car, moto, your hotel or even a boat. You can change their label to whatever you want for example a where do you taste the best coffee or where do you saw a nice store.
The app allows you to store your parking information and display it in a desktop widget (and if you are in the latest version of android you can have it in your lockscreen)
You can travel to each location by foot, driving or using public transport just one click far away.

If you not tell me which search engine is used for which database, I not use this app and I thinking about to reporting it to google because it may break copyright laws if it's without permissions from original authors and I respecting this. I say this to give you the chance to react on it and fix it. Most database engines coasts money except some community created like musicbrains and such, that's why I'm asking and makes me wondering why you hiding important information. So please update the Op and Play Store with more details.
