Hi, i just bought a Nexus 9 Tablet for $298 at Amazon. I don't wanna read comments about why i shouldn't get this tablet or which is a better one, i have it already so... I just wanna know what is the best option (user experience and performance): Installing Dirty Unicorns 9.8 (Lollipop) or Updating to Android Marshmallow 6.0.1?
Thanks in advance
The last weekly of DU for the Nexus 9 is dated 31 March (7.1.1 to be precise) and can be downloaded directly from the DU site.

I see some Android devices already have Android 6.1 but it seems the Nexus 5 is still only coming with 6.0.1. Will the Nexus 5 still get official updates to 6.1 this summer? Or is the device getting closer to "End of Life"?
Also, my girlfriend has a Oneplus 1 which recently upgraded to Cyanogenmod 13.1, I suppose which is based on Android 6.1. However, I can't find any 13.1 snapshots, not even nightlies for the Hammerhead on the Cyanogenmod project page: download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=hammerhead
Is it too early to ask for CM 13.1? What about Android 6.1? Does anyone have any information or ideas about that?
Where did you see an official Android 6.1???
There's no official CM nightly called CM13.1 for bacon: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=bacon

Its not Cyanogenmod 13.1, but stock rom CyanogenOS 13.1. Its different, and based on 6.0.1
Google didnt announded Android 6.1. Maybe Android Nougat will be, but more probably it will be 7.0.
Nexus 5 shouldnt recieve official Android Nougat update, but u will see some CM or AOSP roms for Nexus 5 based on Android Nougat AOSP code.

Well, there is an image called
Code:
cm-13.1-ZNH2KAS1KN-bacon-signed-88797441b5.zip
on cyngn.com/support
The cm-13.1 part looks like a reference to Cyanogenmod 13.1, but as dekefake already pointed out, it's CyanogenOS which I was not aware of. Also, I just noticed they changed the name in the first column from 13.1 to 13.0.1, so I guess it is just a typo (however, the filename still contains the 13.1 reference).

I did a quick google search regarding Android 6.1 and there are a ton of media items announcing Android 6.1 in June 2016, but also I guess it's just a poor researched reference to 6.0.1.
Sorry for the confusion, but it seems I'm not the only one who is confused here
There are big differences between CyanogenMod and Cyanogen OS, mainly open source vs closed-source & Microsoft apps.
There's no CM13.1 (CyanogenMod ROM), no announcement on their blog and Android Nougat 7 will be the next Android update for Nexus 5.

Wait, I read Android Nougat 7 stock wont be coming unless the community ports it (e.g., AOSP)?

AFAIK the AOSP code is still maintained by Google so we will have a clean version of Android 7 (no need to port from a newer Nexus device => instability).
Anyway, we will have perfect custom roms from Android 7 AOSP branches.
The website I went to was:
www.resurrectionremix.com
which the download led me to
https://sourceforge.net/projects/resurrectionremix/files/
The thing is, after much investigation, I realized that the "kenzo" or "bacon" or "capricon" prefixes mean that the file is specifically meant for a specific phone model.
So... Am I right? Or can I just flash this one I downloaded to my Galaxy S6 SM-920I:
RR-N-v5.8.3-20170621-kenzo-Nightly.zip
If I'm right then, where can I find the OFFICIAL release of Resurrection Remix Nougat for S6?
I found a thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...evelopment/rom-ressurrection-remix-m-t3271228
which is the UNOFFICIAL version which makes me uncomfortable because I'm worried that the app does not have the full features of the official releases. However mainly I'm just looking into resurrection remix because of its said performance and battery life.
Also the ROM is marshmallow android 6.... I want it as android 7 :crying:
I'd recommend going to this Thread here >> https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ressurection-remix-unofficial-nougat-t3548327
I installed it on my S6 Edge GM925F and am very pleased with it, there's a few more updated builds out there as well from the Nexus Rom website but not sure if it's open to be linked.
any more recommendations?

HI,
A new nexus 5 user here. I am looking for a MM rom preferably based on Lineage. Does any one knows any rom that is still updated with the monthly security update? Please let me know. Thanks
Hello everyone, can anyone tell me if there is any development of Android Pie for Mi4c?
Thanks in advance
Not yet.
Maybe Lineage or AICP will be developed to this device.
There is a alpha version of Lineage 16 built by pestilentia, you can download it herehttps://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=285685
The developers has gone away, they now don't care about this old device :sad
Hello, I stll use my M7 with lineage 18.1 Is there any change that lineage 19 (Android 12) will be ported to this device or is Lineage 18.1 (october 2021) the latest for this phone?

hey guy,
for m7 (I also own one) it's an oldie device who might run with LOS 14 maximum, as I have several devices from 2012/2015 year ranges, believe me it's running very slow with 2015>android versions. I failed to run PMOS on it, LOS 14 runs very well, Im testing since an hour DivestOS if you want to compete me in tha way lol!
good luck
hello, thanks for yr input. My M7 with LOS18.1 and a gapps nano works fiine and is not slow. Of course it is an old phone with dito hardware and not too much memory, but it works still so well that it would be a pity that upgrading to the next android (12 or13 when that is ready) would not be made anymore.. Also I think of the security patches.
