Hey, so i've been wanting to buy the Xperia M4 Aqua, so just a few weeks ago i stared to save money. I was watching some reviews and many people say that the M4 has an overheating issue. That it heats up to much with just browsing on the web, so lets not talk about gaming. So i was kinda dissapointed with that phone, so i thought on getting the Xperia C4 instead. I know that the C4 is octa core clocked at 1.7, and the M4 is 4 x 1.5GHz + 4 x 1GHz (still octa but not all cores at same). One thing i do know is that the C4 is powered by Mediatek with a Mali gpu, i don't really know much about Mediatek nor Mali gpus. So what phone will have a better performance? I just don't know how to campare Mediatek with a Snapdragon, so over all, should i just get the M4 Aqua and deal with overheating issues, or better wait 2 more weeks for the C4?
Thanks everyone in advance. :good:

Hi,
I am currently tight on budget and the only phones i can afford are Sony Xperia Neo V or Sony Xperia U.
My main usage will be trying out different roms on the phone, medium gaming, browsing. Camera on both phones is enough for my requirement.
After buying any of the phone i will have to use it atleast for 1 year or 2.
Concerns:
Considering todays market and this multiple core talk should i go for Sony Xperia U?
Sony Xperia U has no expandable memory, will it be a problem from modding perspective?
Is dual core necessary to stay relevant for upcoming android os ?

DUALCORE single wont be able to keep up with upcoming games android os etc if you need a budget phone look on the internet for a galaxy s2 i have seen them for £200 do some looking around and you will find a good price
but if you cant get the dualcore one single core is for windows

You didn't actually say your budget and the prices for the phones you've listed.
Based on what you've actually said, go for the Xperia U. Dual core will make a world of difference if you plan to game "medium". Single core in my opinion is dying out. One worry about both phones though, is the fact that they both only have 512mb of RAM. That's a little small in my opinion.
Back to the thing about budget, SGS2s can now be purchased for under $400 AUD if you look around. That would be the best deal for your money - if you could afford it.
On top of that, the Xperia U looks much better
Hi,
i cant find similar thread, so i make this one.
I have very important Q for you.
I have now Xperia U (2x 1Ghz[1.15GhzOC] U8500, 512MB RAM, mali 400), but i think to buy Xperia S (2x 1,5Ghz MSM8260[1,7Ghz OC], 1GB RAM, Adreno 220).
I heard mali is much better then adreno but S have better CPU and memory, so my Q is:
which one is better for gaming? can i see big diffrence in practice bettwen those 2 models?
Thank for help,
if its duplicate plz link me PM with thread, coz i cant find another comparison of those Xperias.
Re: Xperia S or Xperia U
To run graphic intense games, you need a lots of RAM, where xperia s wins, and it has better cpu.
About the gpu, did a quick Google search and yielded up with these.

Hello, I quickly need advice. Im going to buy new phone (previous xperia x8). And I don't know which Arc S or sony xperia J.
Arc S has bigger screen, and it's cpu is 1,4ghz, The J 1ghz. But one my friend says, that xperia J cpu is better than Arc because it's new.
1.4 GHz Scorpion processor, Adreno 205 GPU, Qualcomm MSM8255T Snapdragon (Arc S) vs. GHz Qualcomm MSM7227A
Thanks for help

IMO, Xperia J will be better as the product is newer than Arc S by 1 year. Its always advisable to buy newer released products in the market.

Hi guys could you suggest me a decent phone with good specifications. I have suggested a few of them though I am really confused between them. The XoloX1000 has an intel 2.0GHz processor whereas the XoloQ1000 has a 1.2Ghz Quard core mediatech processor. Also the Xolo Play has an nvidia tegra 3 processor. I am also looking for xperia l or xperia c. Some people say 1.0Ghz Quallcom processor would be faster than the 1.2Ghz quard core processor. Please suggest the best one amongst the above. Also you can suggest your own best phone within this range
PS A decent GPU would also be necessary
Please quote my lines so that I would be informed as soon as you reply

I just bought a HTC One and I love it. Quad core processor with a great GPU. Very easy to root so this gives u more options.

HTC One is great but I need something that fits my wallet
Hello to all lucky owners of the new exciting sony flagship device.
I have created a benchmarking app last year called UxBench that is available on playstore for free and with no ads. I was just curious about this types of applications and how they can be consistent and accurate in the results.
I wonder if someone of the owners of the XZ premium can run the program and post here a screenshot or post the results from inside the app.
I have found until now that performance has to do also with software optimizations and it is not only depended on hardware.
Last week an s8 reached the top score after some months where huaweis were there.
Yesterday an Htc U11 got the highest score and is the first device that scores over 200000.
I wonder if sony made a really fast rom supporting the fast hardware.
I will really appreciate your input in this thread.
The test is very quick about 1-2 minutes. No need to worry about getting hot.

I got 201494 and have submitted it as well.
Made a test with my Xperia Z. I will do it tomorrow with my XZ Premium also. Good application.
I will be getting mine in a few days. Definitely going to run this benchmark. I wonder if it can beat U11.

Lol you are right. It really was the time for an upgrade. Four years with my Z, the battery doesn't last too long, and I must restart my phone once a day (stock, custom ROM, nothing matters). It served me good though, that's why I have choose Sony again.

Thank you all for the replies! It seems that the devices with the 835 chipset have the top performance. Htc u11 and xperia xz premium are the fastest devices until now ( according to my app)
I just wonder why the single core performance is lower that 821 chipset and i cant find any reason for that.

The single core might be worse because the 835 is an octa core CPU and that they may have focused on multicore performance
