[Q&A] How to check if I have Verizon version? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6

Basically went through internet - no aswers found. I bought my S6 from a shop ( I live in EU, no Verizon here), not a carrier but it has some Verizon apps on it, which sounds pretty bad for me.
How can I check it to be sure?

Check the model number under Settings -> About Phone
If it ends in a V I believe it is Verizon
SM-G920A --- AT&T Galaxy S6 SM-G920A
SM-G920F --- International Galaxy S6 SM-G920F
SM-G920P --- Sprint Galaxy S6 SM-G920P, including Boost Mobile
SM-G920R4 --- US Cellular Galaxy S6 SM-G920R4
SM-G920T --- T-Mobile Galaxy S6 SM-G920T
SM-G920V --- Verizon Galaxy S6 SM-G920V

The Verizon version says Verizon on the back with a check mark lol

You can use the debloater app to disable most of them.

[Q] Samsung galaxy s5 gt 19700

Hi everybody, my wife has this Samsung galaxy s5 gt-19700 that she purchased when she was out of the country to India. I went to a T-Mobile store to have it activated and for some reason I was told that it cannot be activated because the device was not manufactured to work with the U.S networks. I google this device and there seems to be no report about it here in the states. Does anybody have this, and if so, is the fellow at T-Mobile pulling my legs about activating this device.
Any comment will be greatly appreciated
Its a fake Galaxy S5. The model number for Galaxy S5 is SM-G900, and for a T-Mob variant its SM-G900T.
If your wife bought it in India then there's a high chance it'll be optimised for India's/standard GSM or CDMA networks. US networks are different to India's and so the T-Mobile guy's probably right in saying it can't be activated on their network
Im going to buy An Galaxy S5 after 2 days...... is it a good idea? Btw i live in India.

Thnx., it was too good to be true/genuine device, but she used it while she was over there. Anyways, thanks for the info. I will have to toss it in the trash where it belong.

Am I better off with an S5?

I'm so sick of Verizon and their antics, constant updates, bloatware, etcetera. When I bought this phone I originally wanted the S5, but apparently the store was "out." I'm tired of this unrooted piece of garbage.

Probably man.... I went through a hand full of phones the past 2-3 months. I went through the one plus one then the vzw s5 then xperia z3 now the vzw m8.
I wasnt happy with the s5 audio output so hence the z3 and m8.
S5 rooted and rom. Sd card. Still a great camera. Water proof and great battery life IMO. I was pretty happy with it...
I should've moved to an S5 from my S4 instead of getting the S6.

S6 is like taking a bath with your socks on... Not very fun. My rooted s4 sadly outperformed my s6. Go with an s5 or even an unlocked phone that can be added to the network. Vzw and Samsung can keep to their locked boot loader I just won't buy it.

[Completed] Is my phone unlocked?

Hey so I just bought a phone from sprint, it's a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge model SM-G935U. I read somewhere that SM-G935P is for sprint so what is mine. Is it an unlocked version? I may sound like a complete noob but if it is unlocked, can I take out the sim card from my iphone 6s (activated with boost mobile), and put it in my galaxy and have boost mobile service?

Forgot to mention mine is a S7 Edge Duos, but since I bought the UAE phone to use here in the US I fear they might not accept it because of that even though it has never been rooted.

it should still qualify, its still an official samsung galaxy s7 edge regardless of variant, i'm confident if i was willing to pay the price of fast shipping i could send mine in from the UK to a friend over there to do the swap for me. (and my s7e g935f is rooted) the only problem is i dont have a friend in the US lol or i would.
you could always ring them up and clarify... should only take a minute im sure it will be no problem to get the full price of a s7e
