My phone has the 3 UK customised firmware, does anyone here have a phone running generic UK firmware (no network bloatware)? If so would you mind providing it-if you don't know how to I can tell you.

hey everyone, on the sasktel network here with my galaxy I9000M. anyways i recently wanted to get my phone back to stock after using roms so i downloaded all of the proper firmware and everything is working great as far as the phone functioning.
the only problem is i can't connect to the network. the firmware i got was for the bell network. Do i need a different modem or something? please help, thanks in advance.

Anyone will work. You will lose the Telstra bloat and possibly some regional apps. On the other hand you may gain some regional India apps.
So I have a Sony Xperia Z3 (D6603) that was on contract with Virgin Mobile, That contract has now ended and I have discovered through searching that because Virgin don't offer 4G in the UK that they have apparently disabled the 4G in the firmware of the phone, So that the 4G doesnt work on any network even if they offer it. (I find this so stupid, Why did they bother doing this.)
I am wondering whether I would be able to flash it with a different firmware so that the 4G is enabled.
Edit: Solved - I have flashed the Generic UK firmware and now 4G works.
just flash different firmware, there was a 4.4.4 rom from some region that did this too

I bought an unlocked g920a from a store in the us when I've been there and I'm using in my country with different network supplier. The phone came rooted and for some private reasons I need it unrooted. I've installed with odin G920AUCU3BOI2 which is the original at&t 5.1 firmware. The problem is that inspire of network band supported by the phone are the same as my Carrier , I have only 2g and 4g, and I can't connect to 3g at all. I got this problem also with the rooted version came from the store. Any idea how to fix it? Thanks a lot

Hello helpful people! I was wondering if a stock Australian Optus rom (SM-G995F) could be flashed onto a Korean version SM-G955N handset. Phone works well enough here in Australia but has carrier (KT) boot screen & apps on it which I find annoying.
