[ROM][5.1.1][Unofficially | CM12.1 For Huawei Ascend G620S][2015-12-11] - Miscellaneous Android Development

Hi all after Surdu_petru close his G620s cm12.1 and cm13.0 threads for reasons that just him knows, (we will regret him!)
I open here another thread where i deliver my "work"...
Be sure that if i am less skilled that i would like, i will do my best for your guys and girls.
Besides we have another talented dev wich will soon join us . i mean @Blefish.
He will restart in a few days during 2 weeks (after he will back to army) to work on device.
thanks to him we will have soon or later a kernel without huawei derp things in it.
So op is not ready yet and will soon make it nicer.
All sources are on my github.
here is my latest rom

G7.
I replace all files in ramdisk from your kernel update in @yuanro49 update patch (wihout kernel image files) and i dont see option related to hotplug CPU and all cores working non-stop.
This is missing options in @yuanro49 update patch.

When i replace all files in ramdisk from @yuanro49 update kernel (without kernel image files) to your update - audio not working.
So kernel build from sources is difference, not config in files.

Kernel with new governor?
Looks good

To improve wifi signal in Huawei G7, copy this file to /system/etc/firmware/wlan/prima, change permissions to 644 and reboot.
It's valid for cm12.1 and cm13 [emoji6]

sensors news
https://github.com/G620S-HUAWEI/android_kernel_huawei_msm8916/commits/frandom
will upload new rom quite soon. But first here is kernel which improves sensors. a moment please...
Surdu was not far from solution indeed. :good:
about audio, we know that a commit or more between kernel 3.10.49 and 3.10.70? broke audio for g7? but which one
if someone wanna work on kernel to find breaking audio commit, i can tell how to do.

Audio doesn't work with any version of surdu's cm12.1 only if we use kernel from dianlujitao nightly, for honor 4x, audio works! Juanro has changed dt.img from dianlujitao's boot.img, probably to make calls to work!

The problem is that we already have a working cm12.1, ported by Juanro, so I don't think people wants to contribute... but your work is greater! A noob question... is possible to compile your kernel with audio configuration from dianlujitao sources? I don't know if is a stupid request or not... =)

G7 users try this kernel update.
This is boot.img from update_kernel-OC.zip @desalesouche and boot.img-dtb file from @junaro49 patch (from @dianlujitao kernel?)
Wi-Fi firmware also updated and I add line to build.prop - qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
Audio and CPU hotplug working, sensors too.

As we got CM11.0 to beta-state fast, I decided to run weekly builds of it.
What are Weekly builds?
CM11.0 builds of the latest CyanogenMod sources from github, so you always have latest CM features and fixes.
New version will come out every week, most often during the weekends.
This is not a replacement for development thread. Post bugs there!

It isn't really necessary that we do only one build per week :fingers-crossed:
We *might* do more than one build, so, it'd be uploaded as weekly 1.1, 1.2 and so on.

Oh shiz! I've included OC'ed kernel by default. But haven't mounted the partitions :\
Anyways, here goes a script (for reverse mounting without the ramdisk derping stuff): https://github.com/vineethraj49/twn_oc_helper/blob/master/flashable/system/etc/init.d/40twn_oc_helper
What's so special about this photo? The output of
Code:
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_available_frequencies
is
Code:
122880 245760 320000 480000 600000 678000 722000 767000 800000 816000 828000 844000 878000
i.e. the overclocked frequencies show up only if two partitions exist. else, nope.
Great ...!! :good::good:

ION: yes
init.d: not checked, likely to work
focal: sorry, derped up camera real big! weekly 1.1 will fix camera (most likely a patch, if possible)
edit: wait? focal? focal was removed from cm long ago. camera is derped up. will fix, shortly.
call audio bug: some report it as working. try with different recovery/carrier, etc
headphone routing: not checked.
Fixed in call audio bug!
tra la la lala
Used our own *old* libaudio.
now, speaker doesn't work
This fix should be easy, relatively :silly:
Nope! not easy! not at all!
So what's happening is you are turning into galaxyfreak and galaxyfreak is turning into sakindia123? Cool

Call audio bug fixed, for real!
Okk, so... we were talking about the call audio (distortion) bug, where the user at other end couldn't hear your voice properly?
voila! I present to you another reason to hate OEMs.
Code:
/system/lib/libhtc_acoustic.so
This file had to be imported in AudioHardware.cpp which would be fixing up audio, using a couple of params.
This too needs to be tested, as we aren't using the old libaudio, but a newer one.
edit: due to sleeplessness, i've typed this. i've tested this myself. ain't seeming to get the call audio bug. releasing a patch, incase anyone wants to test, tomorrow
Anyways, today, I go to sleep not due to fatigue, but with the satisfaction of making something work

[KERNEL] Franco Kernel CAF-----r17[FLO]

I am gonna start maintaining a CAF version of Franco Kernel for Flo and maybe eventually DEB. Depends on how many users want the DEB version. It will be stock Franco Kernel, made to work with CM based ROMs. I may also add s2w and dt2w. Don't have time to type a long OP right now. If you have any questions, just ask. Kernel is compiled w/ Linaro 4.7, and has s2w, dt2w, s2s.

you must already knowing this, that Xiaomi doesn't release kernel source code (some say they will release it on end of 2014). you can only use prebuilt kernel. it'll have issues, mostly sensors issues.

@Danielisko
If you rebase your changes on top of the current Salmiakki Super V2 source, it should most probably work on Stock 4.2.2 and CM/Lineage 13 :good:
EDIT: You need to use the prepared AnyKernel 2 flashable ZIP from the Salmiakki Super thread and put your kernel in it, else it won't be compatible with all ROMs (because if you do it by boot.img, it overwrites the Ramdisk). Also, remember to put the kernel modules you have built into the appropriate folder, else WiFi and some other stuff won't work.
EDIT2: I saw that you have a seperate ZIP for the modules. Still, AnyKernel 2 is easier to use and privides more functionality (and it preserves the ramdisk)
EDIT3: Salmiakki Super V2 source is here:
http://www.github.com/SiniTurk/android_kernel_samsung_cs02/tree/salmiakki
EDIT4: Also, make sure you publish the source of your kernel somewhere and link it, because you are technically violating the License right now
@TimSchumi thx .... btw: You requested me to use a anykernel2 from @osm0sis user... now I request you to test this my kernel.
Greetings
Later I will give the source of the kernel

This kernel bootloops on Lineage 13 (how did you add that bootimage btw?), didn't test Lineage 11 yet
i did it fast.... maybe it's bad 'anykernel.sh' file?
Code:
# AnyKernel2 Ramdisk Mod Script
# osm0sis @ xda-developers
## AnyKernel setup
# begin properties
properties() {
kernel.string=*DANiO* OC Kernel
do.devicecheck=1
do.modules=1
do.cleanup=1
do.cleanuponabort=1
device.name1=cs02
}
# end properties
# shell variables
block=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5;
is_slot_device=0;
## AnyKernel methods (DO NOT CHANGE)
# import patching functions/variables - see for reference
. /tmp/anykernel/tools/ak2-core.sh;
## AnyKernel install
dump_boot;
write_boot;
## end install
And what is the difference between 'base', 'cm-11.0'+ (and up)?
I'm trying to compile 'base' for all cm-* (? - Need confirmation)
PS: As I remember it is probably 'cm-11.0' version of kernel.

Did you base it of the 'normal' version of AnyKernel or did you take the AnyKernel zip from the Salmiakki Super thread? Because the latter should work fine if you only switch out the zImage and the modules.
The kernel source should be the same over all branches (except for salmiakki ofc, which ships OC and the nethunter kernel, which ships OC and a USB HID driver)
I recommend you to take the 'salmaikki' branch and reapply your changes on top of it.
ok you can test my repo for building kernel....
It has a build procedure that clones a github repository (it just is not a fork), then downloads the 'danio_oc_kernel-prepared.tar.bz2' file, unpack it and merges it into the previously downloaded repo and builds the kernel. Such a philosophy!
EDIT: You maybe try this, when i compile a while ago from 'salmiakki' branch . @berkantkz , @santeri3700 and @Logiel - Will you test it?

Can I help in development ?
You're so fast guys, a full of good notices from you!
Forgive me for asking a stupid question, but are you developers on the official Lineage team or are you just using the logo ? Is this a modification of LOS/Cyanogen ?
I really have faith in the official version. No disrespect at all. It' s great to see so much action all of a sudden.
I'm not sure because my carrier doesn't support volte, if it doesn't work I'll add it to the bugs list.

It's unofficial, if you have a look at the zip file name it says unofficial, as well as inside Settings.

This is exciting. I will have to wait until the weekend but I am looking forward so much!
But perhaps I might have to wait for camera fix. I trust you guys but for the moment I kinda need the camera to work.
HWC is a different challenge. I hope there is a breakthrough with that some time!

Bug for me:
Install zip, install gapps (or not, same bug) :
1. First boot ok
2. Without any install, any other flash zip, juste lineageos zip: shutdown phone, when press power to boot again, the rom won't boot, stuck to bootanimation.
3. I'm format data again to boot. But same bug, if i shutdown, or reboot .... stuck to bootanimation.
I can do a video if need
edit: BLN-L21
.
Have you flashed vendor.img from TWRP? Follow the instructions from the OP and you'll be fine.

Yes i was on RR rom before. Flashing vendor change nothing. Is vendor.img différent from RR surdu rom ?
Still working on it, does it make a big difference for you? Let me know what do you exactly notice so that I can use it as a test.

video from 11:00 AM is still uploading. Rom update 20170526 is downloading.
If bug is still here with your update, i will try to enable usb debug before reboot and an adb shell, if i'm not wrong, bootanimation mean kernel boot, so adb shell must work (adb secure is set or not ?).

About HwComposer. Apps are working as fast as normal but the UI is slower than normal. If you want to swipe down Status bar its slow and when you are at homescreen and slide from side to side its slower than normal. And when I Press Power Button to Turn Screen on/off Phone needs 1-2 seconds longer than normal. It would be very cool if we see a HWC fix for this Rom.

same bug with new update.
I have not unable adb, and nothing change for the moment. Because if enable adb, or doing something else, maybe the bug will not be there.
Now i will try to force language to english. And if not work, i wil re re-format data to boot, and set adb secure to 0 to look at the log.
