Hii
So I got a new Ascend Mate 7 from Huawei customer service a few weeks ago because my old Mate 6.1 bricked. I really like my new phone so far, but I have a question about the google play store icon.
If I see pictures of the Ascend mate 7, you see the new google play store icon, a white background and the play logo in the middle of the icon, the same as the Huawei P8. But when I take a look at my phone it looks like the old icon, it's an ugly shopping bag but I want it to be the new icon.
Does anyone knows why it looks like that on my new Mate 7? I've updated to lollipop 5.1. 3 weeks ago and the icon still looks so ugly
help me please :crying:

Hi developers...
First of all thanks for Your worrk witch was during several years very helpful, but now i am lost and stuck...
I would like to know if anyone have ever done it or not an if it is haw or maybe if its not big problem to do it for me or at least explain it to me.
I own a prestigio ultimate multipad pmp 7100d wifi only with 4.1.1. oficila firmware/rom/everything from the official site...
Next thing i would like to have on it is rom that looks like one on samsung tab 10.1 also wifi only..JB 4.1.2.
I was thinking if ther is any option to mix something between...like appereance when you open apps...in gt 10.1 background is transparent and on pmp 7100d is black, icons of setings, music play, and camera are more nice than pmp7100d.
but i would also like to leave in pmp7100d some of original apps like upgrade option, book reader.
the thing is that i like from samsung only appereance of system.
I know if i dont like pmp whay did i bought it anyway-well i got it for gift
so if you can help mi i would be wery tankfull
sory for bad english

for the icons you can try a combination of an Apex launcher and DCiconz...
apex will give you more homescreen customizations and dciconz icon pack is the best (and free) icon pack i've seen so far (i'm using both apex and dciconz on my pmp7100d tablet and on my lg o2x phone)

Thank You Very Much My Friend!!!!!!!!!!
I was really looking for these good news.
Just installed update.
Several Watchfaces/Widgets that stopped working are now working again.
Thanks to Sony for (fairly) promptly fixing this.
So any downside to this update vs. The version we have had prior to the one that broke the watch faces? I saw the horrible reviews and didn't take the December update, the current version works great, but I would like custom app order and swiping to change watch faces... Not enough to break something else though.
Wish they would at least leave us the option to easily roll back if we don't like a new version!
for me the only downside now, is the changed initial notification, it's show on black background, with smaller white font, if you tap it, the colors are switched around and you get a bigger font
i have NO idea why that is an improvement
wish they'd had made that optional
but now they fixed the broken watchfaces, it will be another 6 months or so before the next update hits
Installed update..
enviado desde mi noterin 12.2..
Updated!
Looks nothing changed... (but now the faces swipe)
Not much changed interface wise yeah. But this update fixes the broken hour clock hand not moving and date not showing from previous update. Everything works the way it is on newest update.
The update doesn't works for me, the application crashes immediately after coupling the SmartWatch. Smartwatch wants to reconnect to smartphone, but the app doesn't run. I have deinstalled the update and installed the former version back.
Hello all just bought smart watch 2 and allready have a problem :/ how to increase screen on time? it dims and turns off very fast :// also need a handy app for text reading !!! ( becouse i am a student ) please help me someone thanks !
there's no way to increase screen timeout
i've been asking Sony for a year now to add that simple function, no result

join the OnePlus launcher beta program on Google play even though it's full with this link
gettiN uP to geT dOWN
Also, I found a way to enable the clipboard on gboard and enable the sand theme & it actually sticks. (For some reason just setting the clipboard to true and the sand theme to true won't work normally)
Use root explorer, go to
data/user/0/com.google.android.inputmethod.latin
Then shared prefs & long press "exp_config.xml" & change the SE context to "u : object_r : shell_exec:s0"
You don't have to manually input that you can select it from the list. Then edit the "exp_config.xml" file & change clipboard to true and Sand theme to true. Since you changed the SE contex it'll actually work and the clipboard and theme won't disappear. But if you're using Smurf kernel for some reason it doesn't stick. The the sand theme is so dope looking
Hey, you can just edit the name in the url for another app url name & join their full beta program too, I joined about 50 full beta programs last week.
Here's the link to join OnePlus switch beta program that's full, & here's the link for drive sync beta program that's also full

Can this launcher be used on a pixel 2xl? Desperately want to have the new gestures, and I don't think there is an oxygen os port available for my device. (Lineage has a lot of features but I'm not sure it's compatible neither). It'll be a couple months before I get a OnePlus 6t
Thanks

I'm still busy cleaning up the cyber week deals. I actually was browsing a website that was so run through they had pixel dock & pixel buds listed for 0.00 . I was like that's a great deal. So I ordered them . I paid zero for pixel dock & buds ?. Then Google fudged up some of my shipments so I got 25 Google play credit & 50 Google store credit. Then I tore up Google Express with promo codes & made best buy do some hefty price matchs. I'm almost done. Just got to get my pixel XL 3 fog case ordered with a promo code then I can finally see?Wait what I'm I testing out again. This thread is about the beta launcher sign up even know it's full. Ok and you want me to test it on my pixel phone to see if it works. If I can put my OnePlus 6 down I'll try
I realized, the new launcher requires you to enable the gestures in the settings app (native to oxygen os?)
I wonder if the apk could be modified to enable the new multitasking UI gestures? I wonder if it could be added to an existing custom rom?
Just spitballing, it seems people have the new launcher working on some asop pie roms, however I'd like to see the tmobile version of the launcher (i think some with root are swapping or using modules etc on international versions) with the google feed, and the new nav gestures to boot.)
cheers,
-g

Bro if the devs get onePlus launcher working on the pixel rom, Thatd be hella cool. OnePlus gestures are the biz
OnePlus has gone all Hollywood now though. They some tryN to support the Devs no more, accept blu Sparks. He fixes what they don't. First they got rid of the OnePlus girl who knows what's coming next, that's why I ain't getting rid of my OnePlus 6 it could be the last of the best OnePlus devices
What thread is this what is going on is this future or past.
I'll see you again in 25 years ?
Ok, I meant 25 minutes, my bad my Gboard gots the clipboard set as shell sporting the same theme in beta and I was watching twin peaks the return so Google Assistant entered years and did the Lara Palmer hand thing, not me. But the Gboard is so dope work sand theme.. I tried to type to type a tutorial on how to get it to stick, but my gboard and my teaching skills I guess they ain't that good cuz no one think me. You see you can't get the clipboard and the sand thing to stick especially on Smurf kernel. But it probably got buried. No one likes me on XDA. Cuz I'm getting up to get down. And I don't if OnePlus launcher works in the pixel XL 3. Cuz I just try to download it and then I just was like, forget this, I'm signing up for the free month of project fee right now that just started a couple hours ago. Pixel lunchers is the biz ,I was like OnePlus who. This phone is the business the pixel 3 XL. The OnePlus 6 way too fast for me, I'm already fast enough and then you had all that ran and speed and quick charge I stopped sleeping. So I think the answer is no I don't know I got to go hit up the pixel 3 XL forms. That's where everyone's going. OnePlus went Hollywood and stop the dev program
I'm so sorry about so the post. My friends unlocked my phone when I passed out in adb mode with face unlock and did that. I didn't spam my own thread.. I'm already got about of write ups. Don't be like that guy that works at the bank as a teller.. don't tell mr. Wizard good thing he's on Christmas break
Hello guys, is there any apk or app working on p40 pro setting on notification lights camera rings? I tried 1-2 app on playstore but aren't competitive with p40 Pro..
Thanks
+1
Good news: I contacted the "Energy Ring" developer and I actually did some testing for him to help out with the size of the energy ring thingy, as he doesn't own the P40 Pro.
Somewhat bad news: not sure why but the new version with P40 Pro support hasn't been uploaded to the Play Store yet. Latest version is from April 28. He said it will take some time to put it on the Huawei App Gallery, but I thought it would be on the Google Play Store by now. I believe his xda username is @jagan2 . (my apologies if I misunderstood something)
But Its just a battery Info isnt it?
Not a notification light.
Here is nice app

Can anyone advise how to go back to Android 11?
My phone updated this morning and I really cannot get on with 12 - It just looks awful to me, especially the white backgrounds in folders. The dropdown drawer has taken about 10 steps backwards.
I've been a Sony guy for a long time and I'm always prepared to give things a chance, but this update is just awful
You phone updated this morning and at 4:48 you decided you have given it enough of a chance. Amazing.
I can't find the white background you mentioned.

Well, the white backgrounds look cheap and apps blurr against the white background and far worse than they were before , the drawer is a big step backwards in usability for me and there are no new features as far as I can see
So, considering the negatives far outweigh the positives, and being a decisive adult I would prefer the phone as it was prior to update, what's wrong with that? It's my phone after all
Pretty simple really
I'd add a screenshot of the white folders, but the screenshot option seems to have gone AWOL
And, I don't have any white background. My app icons are on a black background. I went through all the apps on my home screen and only three have white--two very old dictionary apps I use and the Amazon app.
Whenever I get a new camera or a new cellphone or sometimes a new operating system it's seriously flawed. After a week they seem to heal themselves. Must be, couldn't be me. But, if you feel you used it enough this morning, good luck with Android 11.
I should mention that my Sony Xperia 5 II is basically Sony. I have no bizarre modifications except for the latest PhotoPro available.
Managed to find screenshot so you get an idea what I'm on about
My phone doesn't have anything fancy going on either
If the white screen with icons is side sense, my background is black.
No, it's not side sense - I group apps on my home screen in folders. These folders all now have a bright white background when before there was a nice black one

I feel your pain. Updating to Android 12 brought me back here to XDA to answer this very question.
So far it looks like unlock bootloader is the first step on your way to going back to 11. Something im still considering.

I'm sort of getting used to it now. I still think a lot of the design choices are a backward step and the white folder backgrounds are annoying and cheap looking
Having the different icons in the drawer was way better than blocks with the smaller icons on
It does seem to run faster though
Well, let's hope the next firmware update is an improvement. Editing themes seems to have disappeared. 'Material You' should be a feature in A12 allowing personalisation of themes, but thats not present.
Edit. Material You is a Pixel thing apparently.
IV used nova launcher and not encountered that I did notice the clock has a blue thing on it then day and date is white I do have dark mode on aswell
