Pixel C Tempered Glass - Pixel C Accessories

Has anyone heard or spotted any yet? I hate using my tech without some sort of guard on the screen.
Maybe the awesome people over at @intelliARMOR have plans to support it?

I'd like to know this as well, as taking the keyboard away from the screen seems to have some jeopardy involved each time!

I found this one on Amazon. I've never heard of this company though.

Yes, we're working on this now. Since you've been using the Pixel, any special features or requests? We're planning on covering the camera with our glass.

Nice one! My Pixel hasn't been shipped yet should be here next week but personally I don't mind the camera being covered at all.
I'll post again with any ideas that might help you lot though.

I'm interested as to why you would cover the camera with the glass?
The other glass screen protectors I have for my Xperias all have the camera uncovered.
Also, would the glass in any way stop the keyboard charging or cause there to be contact between the tablet and the protector when the glass is installed?

For me i prefer the camera to be covered just to void from dust, i also wondering will it be interfere charging from tablet to keyboard , what im worried just the magnet not strong enough to hold once u put tempered glass on it @intelliARMOR

Just got our Pixel in our design center yesterday! Don't see any issues with the magnet or functionality. We'll be in production by the end of the week. Thanks!

@intelliARMOR I am probably going to be picking up one of your screen protectors, but I was wondering if you could provide some insight into your oleophobic coating. Every tempered screen protector I have tried for my various devices has claimed to have an oleophobic coating, but fingerprints stick to them like there is no tomorrow. Can you speak on your process as compared to other manufacturers of tempered glass screens? I want to buy one, but I'd hate to waste my money if it is going to have the same "coating" as all the others out there.

Yes, we do have a proprietary process for applying our Oleophobic coating but I can't provide any other details. You should definitely notice the difference when comparing our glass to any other brand. (should be much smoother) Thanks!

Just got mine yesterday.
Have to say i'd personally prefer the camera to be covered after seeing the tablet myself and as close to the edges of the tablet as possible.
Using this thing without any sort of protection on the screen is making me anxious lol
Now just to wait till they're available.

Yep, definitely prefer the camera to be covered. Looking forward to this, I do feel the constant sliding and facing the keyboard can lead to some nasty marks over time.

Finally glass back protector

http://theglass-m.com/
Ordered from here and received yesterday. Shipping was very fast and has a cut out for proximity sensor and back camera. Apparently its gorilla glass and fits great. Has a nice anti finger print coating. I have been searching for a glass back protector and finally found one. I can post pics if people want but the price is great and fit is also good.

I have had rhino shield on my nexus 4 and nexus 7 also for my xperia z. The first generation where not very good. They scratched easily and also got dented easily. On my nexus they didn't cover much of the screen and on my xperia the one they sent had issue with the back protector. I have ordered the second generation since they were giving the people who backed them on kick starter free second gen ones. I have not received them yet so cannot comment on them as of now.
These have been very good so far they are apparently made of gorilla glass so they are scratch resistant and have anti finger print coating. The best I have used so far. These are 9H and rihino shields are I beleive 5H.

Moto Z Best Screen Protector?

I am seeing a lot of screen protectors coming out on amazon, that are from small companies, was wondering if anybody has ever tried them and which one is the best one? Should I go try some of them out or wait for Zagg to come out of one of their own for the Moto Z/Z force?
Never felt like paying the premium for Zagg stuff; I've been using Skinomi protectors on my last three phones (it's the same material as Zagg/GadgetGuard etc). Have the TechSkin on my Z Force and it fits PERFECTLY, right up to the edge. Tried the MatteSkin once, but found it de-contrasted my screen way too much.

Well crap. I thought it was the Force that had the 2.5D screen edges. We aren't ever going to get a decent glass screen protector for this phone. My S7 was just like this and as popular as it is doesn't have a good glass screen protector.

how is the fit?
I wish I would have come across this thread before I bought the IQ Shield Tempered Glass protector. Clarity and feel are amazing but the edges don't seal!! It really grinds my gears.
Just bought a generic tempered glass (I highly doubt it is real tempered glass, maybe just some plastic). It is really cheap, not prone to fingerprints, and it makes the screen look great. Adhesion is nice, no abnormal lifts from the sides. Here are some pictures and the price tag.
I'm jealous, that seal looks perfect! I paid twice as much and mine is lifted on the left, right, and bottom edges.

Installed today... The front screen protector is of good quality and attach perfectly on screen even if it is a bit small in size in all directions in my opinion. Great transparency and print resistance too...
The back one is like old screen protections and it's impossible to fit it without a lot of bubble...
Too much for me so I removed... It's a pity since it had a good print resistance too... that was really needed.
Anyone found a screen protector that covers the entire front?

Here are some photos to show how much it covers the phone: https://goo.gl/photos/fokxXnJzSq58zKAU6
I didn't get it on exactly perfect but if I did then I think it would have been pretty close to full coverage. I'm considering pull it off and replacing it. Also, I bought a full body protector so that I could put something on the back to protect from scratches and some finger prints. When I pulled it out and looked at it before applying it to the phone then I noticed there was no hole for the gold connection pins to pass through. I was very disappointed. Here is a link to the full body protector.

Im going to thank you for the comment but not for the advice. It would take way too much oil to cover all that up on this phone.

But does it cover the entire screen? I purchased one of these a couple weeks back and received a protector that 1mm of viewable screen (not the bezel, but actual screen) on the left and right sides. I receiving a new one in the mail after complaining, but not sure if i'll use it as I purchased a Poetic case that comes with a screen protector that looks and feels really nice.

Any type of oil will work. I used cooking oil for many phones already. Do note that if you apply too much pressure on the place where you used oil, the oil will come out and you'll have to reapply it again.

If the prices rise above $2 (or even $1, some sellers like jacking up the prices), just go to Ali and search "tempered glass edge liquid" or some variation of that and sort by lowest price + free shipping.

I've had the phone since the Sprint deal when I applied it then. There's been no issues all the way up to now. Meanwhile with cooking oil, it requires you to reapply often, which is a messy pain in the ass.
Yes, cooking oil is free and available, but it's not really a permanent method. It's more of an interim method. But I've also heard reports of cooking oil lasting forever as well. But not in OP's case, it only lasted him a under a week.

Yes - full adhesive on both models. And 3D glass
Are the cutouts actual holes, or clear glass? I've had proximity sensor issues in the past, and am concerned about that an issues for the radar sensors.
Ordered one for the XL. Hopefully it is as good as your old school flat screen phone models.
So the tempered glass you're making are going to only be like the picture above? I'm not a fan of tempered glass where is just sticky around the edges. Are you making regular ones too?

We have some distribution in Europe, but no retailer in the UK yet. If you can tell us the retailer you'd prefer we can work on getting them setup.
This is stellar. Actual interaction with a product distributor, rather than just ordering something, hoping it works out and if it doesn't, moving on to the next protector without actually having any realtime knowledge of the product ? I got burned so many times with OP protectors, this is quite appealing. Think I'm gonna grab a couple friday, along with the spigen crystal clear case. That will be a killer setup. I've had my phone for just over a month and the original protector is perfect. I've had the phone in and out of cases several times and there is no peeling and no marks. It feels smooth, like glass, and is clear and clean. Like I said, perfect. ?
I actually bought screen protectors with the phone, unaware that one would be fitted already, and I've had no reason to switch. FWIW I'm also using the included clear case, even though I bought a few others. Goog job, Samsung.
I had a small tear, and I wanted to see if its glass or cover, - so felt the cover kinda coming off and had to peel it eventually. But it was kinda loose too
Pre- installed...Wait where they do that at lol

because customers were complaining about the screen saver scratching and some even sending their phones back over it. Also samsung would send customers for free replacement screen savers. Wasn't worth the hassle in this market for them anymore.

I'm not sure buddy, I installed one of those non glass ones yesterday after I received my U1. It's the type that is installed in two parts and no heat or water is needed. I believe LK and Qitoyo are the same, bought the latter it's ok. Good overage and smooth. 10$ three pack.

Thanks. I got the Ringke dual easy which applies really well. Just that the quality of the sticker is inferior to the factory installed one I had on my Note 10

I was about to buy that one. But it mentioned it has some wings technology that wraps around the sides. That bit put me off a little. What's it like in practice?

It is great actually. The wings that wrap around go just a tiny bit towards the back glass and do not affect the look of the black glass. The wings also help secure the protector from lifting off the edges
I also put a skin on the back to get rid of the fingerprints you get on the black N20U .

I was looking for a topic like this haha. My one actually developed a few bubbles and I had to peel it off a couple of days ago. I received my unit in early September.
I am now struggling to find a good protector that works well with a case. Tried Ringkie but the protector was a way smaller than my phone!! Looks like it was a faulty batch. Tried another one - Apiker, and it peeled off when I putted my phone to my Spigen case despite Apiker advertising it won't.
I am now stranded in the middle of nowhere. Don't know what to buy to have a bubble-free screen and compatible with my Spigen case. Ordered the Spigen screen protector but it has mixed reviews...
I now regret I removed the original one.

Just get the one of the ones mentioned earlier to tied you over . They're a dry applied 3 or 4 stage peel type. I think most are made by the same factory. Leaves about 2mm on edges almost like the factory applied gap.

I couldn't find a single dry protector that would be bubble free and compatible with a case. No matter how hard I try to follow the instructions the protector either has bubbles/spots or peels off when phone is in a case. It just doesn't stick firmly. I will try my luck with Spigen wet protector. It should be compatible with Spigen cases as advertised. Already spent around 40 pounds on different protectors with no luck. I wish Samsung could offer the service for a fee. Their factory screen protector was attached perfectly.
I still have pre-installed screen protector on mine too and it's sitting well and is like new still.
