Need help on flashing TOT file and IMG file - LG G Flex 2

I got the phone from eBay and it has been rooted when it came out of the package. However, I failed to activate it to Sprint. The Sprint customer service representative told me to flash the original stock ROM. The current rooted software version is ZV6. I downloaded the ZV5.tot file and ZV6.img file from this forum, however I don't know how to flash them.
It seems tot file is from LG and the img file is from 3rd party, so I prefer to use tot file. However, someone in this forum said you would brick your device if you flash different version. Maybe to flash img file is safer.
Any helps will be appreciated.

Do not flash that phone with the TOT file. You will hard brick it!! Follow this guide to flash back the stock system.img, but make sure you flash the correct version! You MUST flash version ZV6. Once you flash the stock image, you can reflash with the rooted image. Although I can't see the rooted image keeping you from authenticating with Sprint... seems to work fine for me. But I would give reflashing ZV6 system.img a try. Should work fine. (I have done this process many times with no issues)

Stock Everything Stock

I don't understand these directions from the FAQ:
"Q. How to get back to stock? I need to give my phone to warranty services how do I revert to official LG rom?
A. Check this thread. It is the v10b 2.2 stock rom as a flashable zip package. If you can't access the recovery, then see if the firmware for your country is available here or use this tool. Download the firmware and use the KDZ tool to flash. You will find instructions to use the KDZ tool on this thread. For a picture guide, check this thread.
Also for official GB lovers, see this and this. It is a v20g rom in flashable zip package. Or if you'd rather flash v20c/g roms from LGMDP, the links for that can be found in this thread.
If you are on Optimus V, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1025911
If you are on the Optimus T, see this post. Uses the KDZ method.
Q. How do I restore the stock recovery?
A. Download the original recovery zip file from here and flash it. (Yes, you can flash a recovery from within recovery itself)"
I have LG P500 from USA T-Mobile. I'm on V20 Baseband.
1)Is kdz the only way to go back to stock?
2)Which way is the safer and better way to get back to stock?
3)How (full instructions) to get back to stock rom for USA T-Mobile?
4)How (full instructions) to get back to stock recovery for USA T-Mobile?
yes you can flash a recovery from recovery, if it is a flashable zip
you need to stick with your phone not other variants of LG p500, O-1(Europe), O-T or O-V, dunno what is the T-mobile USA version, but is it written inside your phone under battery
1) KDZ is for flashing software in your phone, but beware, if you are unexperienced you may brick your phone for good, but you can try it, DO NOT PULL OUT BATTERY OR DO SOMETHING WHILE KDZ IS NOT FINISHED FLASHING PHONE OR YOU WILL HARDBRICK IT (but, I do not think someone at service will notice that, after a hardbrick, it just went dead and nothing else, nobody knows nothing)
2)if you do not know what are you doing, nothing is safe, anyway, as I mentioned, a hardbrick is a hardbrick and if you still have warranty, you are lucky
3)http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1824618 search there
4) LG P500 doesn't have stock recovery(just bootloader)
if you do not know what to flash try to find a T-mobile rom image (MAKE A REQUEST-someone will post it), and first time when flashing a recovery is to backup original rom for what will come after
LGMDP will work like this, it upgrades rom when you have an older version, so try to flash an older custom rom, find an Froyo 2.2 and flash it as any custom rom, boot, conect your phone to PC, that means that you have LG USB drivers installed, start LGMDP and w8 to detect your phone, after that goto options & help, select country, carrier, phone, w8 to detect latest update, start update
in case that your phone is not detected, boot into recovery, goto mounts and mount USB, that will make LGMDP detect your phone, start updating

KDZ is generally discouraged . However if you can find a Nandroid back up of GB , then that would be the safest way . I went back to stock froyo with the help of this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1955354

[Q] I need Help

Please help
I have a gionee pioneer p3 and I got it stucked in a boot loop while trying to install a custom font after rooting it with no custom recovery tool installed. I downloaded the phone's stock firmware from needrom but discovered the firmware for gionee p3 on that site is corrupt as I couldn't extract the zip file to my desktop. I downloaded a custom rom and after flashing it using SP flash tool, my phone won't even boot anymore, the phone just remains dead like there's no battery in it. But when I connect to sp flash tool, it recognises my phone so I think its a firmware issue or a problem with the bootloader. I want to know if its possible to copy the firmware from a working gionee p3 and use it to flash my bricked phone, if it is, please I need guide on how to do this cos I really want my phone back to its stock rom. If not, any other solution will be much appreciated. I need my phone up and running again please help.
As you mentioned, the ROM you downloaded earlier might be corrupted. Since flash tool recognizes your phone, i think you should try to download a new firmware and try to flash it via flash tool.

H810-10I Root?

I've seen the low-effort root instructions for the G4 running 10G. I have an AT&T (H810) G4 running 10I. Is it possible for me to root at this point, or is it still being developed? Is there a way to roll back to 10G so I can use the low-effort method?

Next time search around a little..
I downloaded the .img file from the link you mentioned now how do I flash it. All the methods i've found for flashng .img files require root already or are specific to older build numbers. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Download rasher app from play store n flash .img
Thanks for the reply. Rasher says it requires root. This .img is to gain root aaccess and is currently the only root option. I'll try rasher when i get home but im not hopeful. What would be the common method to flash this .img to an unrooted stock LG G4 with h81010i firmware. Thanks.
Rasher was a fail. How do people normally install a .img file?

help with security error bootloop bootloader

hello i have lg flex 2 sprint it was on 5.0.1 ZV4 i just tried to root it by flash ZV6 root system through dd command
after flash the rootsystem image the phone reboot to lg logo with security error then it go down and black screen i still can enter download mode..
please any body can help me to restore stock rom maybe im on zv6 rooted system
I've never even heard of a ZV4 for the Flex 2, I thought we started with ZV5 originally when the phone was released in mid-2015, guess I just missed that one entirely if it does exist.
If you can enter download mode (you said you can) then I strongly suggest you flash the ZV8 TOT file found in the link provided in this instructional post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/general/guide-lg-g-flex-2-stock-firmware-to-t3037593
Since we don't have a KDZ or TOT for ZV9 or even the latest ZVB firmware you have to flash those manually (not using the LG Flash Tool but the Send_Command.exe thing along with dd while the system img file is on the internal storage of the device.
I guess my one question would be: why haven't you updated when new firmware has become available, or did you just get this Flex 2 recently and it had ZV4 on it and you just never bothered.
If you do this right you can get everything working in under 30 minutes, and have even rooted ZVB ready to go (there's a rooted ZVB system img available now too, search the threads and you'll find the link to download it).
Be careful, read all the instructions, take your time, and good luck.
thank you very much for your help but I want tell you that I cant get the storage because the phone cant startup it just bootloop on security error so I cant put anything on the storage how I can transfer the file to storage
or can I flash it through lg flash tool?
I bought this phone from ebay and it come with zv4 I think who has it didn't do any updates

SOLVED: How to flash baseband/modem (modem.img) with Odin?

Before I get to my question, a quick background, which might help with explaining my question. So recently I switched to another cellular carrier on my unlocked S6 Edge (G925F) and now I would like to flash the baseband from the firmware corresponding to my new carrier in order to get better/proper connectivity. I downloaded and flashed the new carrier's firmware .tar.md5 using Odin, however, in the process of flashing, Odin threw a FAIL message when flashing the hidden.img file. So I had to manually extract and flash that file again, and it worked.
Anyway, it seems like, because of the aforementioned Odin FAIL message, the flashing process did not include the new modem.img file. So now I would like to manually flash that in order to get better service on my new carrier. So how do I do that? I tried flashing just the modem.img file with Odin by selecting it in the "CP" field, however, the flashing process gets stuck on "File analysis..." and nothing gets flashed. Am I doing something wrong? Can I flash that baseband some other way?
UPDATE, SOLVED:
I figured out the solution. I had to manually create a new .tar archive (with 7zip) containing just the modem.bin file. When I tried to flash that with Odin (by adding it under the "CP" field), it successfully went through.

May I please ask you, how did you get a firmware with a modem binary inside it? So far I've downloaded two different firmwares for this device, latest baseband versions, and none of them ships a modem.bin or anything similar. I'm totally puzzled.
